for me i juz put the oil on the jewel cap enough already and is no good if put the oil into setting will cause the wheel running too smooth and finally the timing will become faster.
@ scaredyet. Why do you talk about the guy like that. He is just trying help people. You talk like that why? Only thing I can think of is you must be young/immature. A....Child..... Go on come back at me with some swear words, moronic child!
Watchmakers are like surgeons. They are incredible what they have to work with, and to have the patience and steady hands to do it. I highly respect them.
i would really like to see more on this series, because i'm going to be studying as a watchmaker soon and i want to get my head around some of the basics before i start, if you could make some more basic instructionals that would be great!
You did a complete overhaul of a ETA 7750, include the various adjustments to the chronograph part of the movement, but didn't overhaul the balance, and antishock?
And by the way, this one of the simplest ways to oil the incabloc end and cap stones, when you have them disassembled for cleaning, anyway....
Check out "Under the Loupe" on the site. Looks like a pretty neat concept with a lot of room to grow once the right people discover it. Wish I'd found something like this when I was a watchmaking student.
Wrong! You put 3/4 of oil in the jewel ONLY and then you put it back together and that's the first thing you do after you clean the movement

I would say that's not the usual way to oil. It is too difficult and unnecessary.

yeah for auto oilers.

I can't do it for sure. If I sneeze, I'm afraid it will go somewhere and say goodbye.

WRONG!

This is WRONG! You need to epilame treat the cap jewel first and you don't put oil on the setting!

That's like eye surgery.

If you do not take care, you may damage the shock guarding the jewel. You should not put back the socket from this direction.

This is the worst bullshit I have ever seen! You never do this while the watch is running!
FUCKING RIDICULOUS!

did you see the shit on the set of pliers ?

You'd think the lubrification would have been done with the watch unwoundificated.
taofledermaus 2 years ago
Maybe they did it for the video. Whenever I'm lubrifying a watch, I dewoundify the springification doohickey first.
Understand?

Lol!

That Looks VERY DIFFICULT! I Would Never Be Able To Do That Without Dropping All The Tiny Parts

"LUBRIFICATION" is not a word. At least not in English. perhaps you meant "lubricating".

do not work on a running watch
darkhorse199 4 years ago
Sometimes this is done to verify that the jewel is inserted correctly. If it is not, the watch will stop.
I know, it's dangerously close to that hairpsring.
