@Akazoom34 You need to install the driver for your network card. You can find it either on the website of your motherboard manufacturer or on the builder of your pc's website if its like an Hp or a Dell.

I have a Compaq desktop that refuses to connect to the internet because of the network card. It was Windows XP but then was upgraded to windows vista but later was brought back to XP. I'm positive the network card might have gotten mixed up or something. I've tried to do all you told me but it wont worrk and when i type ipconfig its blank and it says its connected but firewalled what do you recommend?We know the physicals work so it is a problem within the computer.

Hi, I can't get my wireless connection get to work, currently i'm going with an ethernet cable but im gotten really tired of it sticking around so now i want to get the wireless to work. It has been working b4 but then the router+modem crashed and now we got a new 1. on the other comp's it does work but not on mine-.-

Thank you for posting this video. I was able to run through every step, but I am still getting no connection to the internet on my HP Desktop. My cable modem and wireless router are operable/ working because I am still able to access the internet from my wireless network on my laptop. So, I need to replace the network card. um...my router runs at 100/10 mbps, but if i set it at 100, it will atempt to connect and say "network cable is unplugged". It used to work fine at 100, but now i have to lower the speed to 10 mbps full duplex for it to work. It gets me mad, whenever im playing an mmorpg i just lagg all over the place. Any suggestions?

if you have another pc and a usb flash drive or a couple disc laying around you can dual boot unbuntu till you can just clean install windows again.

dont worry it wont delete windows

ok go into ur network things and find ur internet connection lists.

right click the one u r trying to use then click properties.

when it comes up uncheck everything except windows client and the internet protocols. (disable QoS, and stuff like that.)

the problem is your network driver. go download it from nvidia and they will ask you what model or unit is your network card

man 2day i got a router i put it to my laptop and it works but the signal disconnects and reconnects but its annoying havin to go to the ip adress rebot again and again and so i ran the comand prompt and clicked stuff i never have and i havent gotten a dropped signal anymore..this video kind of helped..:)

I´ve got a more serious problem± The drivers of my onboard Ethernet Controller are gone because I have reinstalled Windows XP. I have a Intel Based motherboard and tried everything on the site of Intel and even drivers of other companies. Doesn´t work!!

I even tried the old BIOS check, by checking if the onboard lan device is enabled, and yes all was ok but still doesn´t work.

If I plug the Internet cable into the port the port gives a orange light but doesn´t flash.

And it only gives green light if the connection works, i know that.

Your video is pretty decent. I have a problem. I have downgraded from Vista to XP, but I dont get the internet connection on my XP, whereas in Vista Im able to get internet and works fine. I have a lenovo and have installed the required ethernet drivers etc. What could be the problem? I dont get the IP at all. I would greatly appreciate if you can take a video of the entire network setttings. It says "No Ethernet Controller found" and both the lights on my CPU stay still, dont blink. HELP PLEASE

u can try these troubleshooting steps in case IP is 0.0.0.0

start> run> type in CMD> in the black window type in this command IPCONFIG /renew

it will renew the ip address of ur PC

then run IPCONFIG to check the ip

At the end of this video u were explaing if u did'nt have a IP address on the "IPCONFIG" window. Well I have the "IP Address" & "Subnet Mask", but lacking "Default Gateway" tried just about everthing u mentioned in ur video which was explained in B&W thx. I'm running a wireless labtop which works so it cant be my modem, wirelessG,wire from the modem, but having a diffuclt time getting on w/my desktop which is hard wired. Also bought a new ethernet card and still cant get on.
