I honestly don't know how you managed to spend that much on it? the most expensive parts are the pots and they're like £2 at most over here so like $5?
Hey this design is awesome. I just built a baby 10 and it uses alot of jacks for the resets your switch idea is great. Just wondering what combo of resistors did you use to reduce the cv out
You don't have to power it with 15V (that is actually good for old-school synthesizers). The 4017 can work from 3V to 18V (and the output is relevant to supply voltage). I supply mine with 5V to run it with my Monotron, and it works perfectly. I never tried skipping steps. Do you just ground the relevant output of the 4017, or is there different method? Great job, very nice housing :)
I ran it on 15v per the schematic I was using, I kind of like the idea because it allows me to use a wider range of CV's. My skip function doesnt quite work like I had hoped, I just have it wired so when the switch is in the middle no CV is output but the trigger is still sent out. This means the envelope is still triggered and the synth outputs a real low note. Still need to work out that bit but this was my first DIY project. I think ill plan out a 16-32 step sequencer..
@AkatomieMusic it was quite fun, and at times frustrating because I didnt follow the schematic exactly so I could add the switches. Im in the process of making a schematic for my version.
@phono1337 Thanks, yea the price is the problem with the place I bought all the parts from. I guess since it's an actual store all the prices are jacked up. But i've got enough parts to build 3 more less the pots. (had to buy more than I needed of everything)
$200?!

cool ! got your baby cv - gate or cv - hz ? maybe both ?

@thePOLYGIRL its only cv/gate. I plan on building a bigger one capable of both..

@synthatik,
i wish i could built develop like that in diy too... but i'm really beginner.

@ROBOGLIDE6000 I just used what I had around, I think they were just 10k resistors wired in series.

Very cool little sequencer!!!

Hey,
can you post a link to the schematics? Or could you send them to me?
Thank you!

@KWFBong Posted a link to the blog where I originally got the idea in the description.

@synthatik I understand :) I'll work on mine as well and let you know if I manage to do it the way we want it...

verry nive work...do you have inside pictures i try to rebuild it

@acidjack303 I did take pictures of the build but didn't post them anywhere yet. If you Google Baby 10 sequencer you can find schematics for it.

Amazing, I don't know how you do all these boxes for synths but seems quite fun to assemble^^
