It actually does roughly the same damage as ultra 1. It has its applications. The main use for it is that once you activate it the move has massive amounts of invincibility so it can beat a lot of things clean.

@DarkGanon3000 SSF4 Akuma is a really good one, not as great as his SF3 version, but good nonetheless. IF fans were to make a better Akuma for SSF4, the only thing they would want to be changed is his 2nd Ultra. Hardcore Akuma lovers would think his normal frame data and move priority is fine the way it is, that shouldn't be messed with, it's the Ultra that has to go. Also, Akuma players will more than likely choose his 1st Ultra over the 2nd anyway, it's perfect for traps.
