  • I just can not watch it all the way through, so painful; watching it in bits....we need more of Shaun Monsons; investigating every aspects of our life and the way we live to reveal what is behind the scenes;but I guess this film initiated all of us to do that for ourselves. to able to make an ethical choice based on compassion we need to really look and see how we live.

  • Now...more importantly, to the Director of the film. Bravo! I praise you for the documentary. I'm glad you didn't waiver on what to show and what not to show. We need to know the truth about factory farming, and what we're cosuming. Keep forging forward as I will. Your documentary has empowered me, along with many other INTELLIGENT people. Those who oppose the documentary are ill and need a lot of help. Perhaps they should be institutionalized.

  • Guess What!?!?! I want you to keep eating them. Enjoy the feces, disease, etc...not to mention the spirit of that animal in their agony. I hope you consume the spirit of that animal and you will! Every emotion that animal felt before they were brutally murdered will encompas your body and you deserve it.

  • I felt the same way after i watched EarthLings .. I couldnt sleep that night , i Kept crying ... Its so painful to see what we are doing ... .. I am a vegetarian now .. And i feel good ..

  • Mr. Monson, you have changed my life so quickly and completely. This movie was so difficult to sit through, but it was absolutely necessary. This film is not propaganda; this film is reality, and it is an ever-expanding, sickening reality. You have helped shed light on the horrific abuse that our society thrives on, and you have turned my life around completely. This is one less meat-eater in the world, and one more vegetarian. You should be proud of yourself, as a filmmaker and a human being.

  • Oh yah, u know what this lack of education brought you to think in that way. Do you know about ecosystem. Where animals are meant to eat plants or other animals, humans eat plants or animals, etc.. So if you want to help the environment please stop eating plants because your lowering the proportion of oxygen to carbon dioxide. this isn't true but your brains are limited you'll believe anything.

  • Thumbs up if ask.fm brought you here :)

  • @MissRock1996 hahahah me to ;P

  • some animals are created to be eated .. !

  • @XSJQx To be "eated"? You are an idiot. You are the reason Monson created this movie.

  • @sparklygoldfish so tell me .. what are they created for ? .. and i didn't call you something so be more Respectful

  • @XSJQx You are an insensitive sick bastard ...

  • @207Param thank you < 3 ... and oh .. i'm with you against the animal torture .. but i said from the begining ima eat them .. i didn't say i'm going to beat them !

  • @XSJQx As long as you are eating meat products, you are contributing to animal torture. End of story. Educate yourself, because you're embarrassing yourself right now.

  • @sparklygoldfish xD you make me laugh .. u can't live with out meat .. our body needs it .. i'm sorry for you .. :)

  • @XSJQx They weren't "created" by anything. They are here for the same reason humans are. Millions of years of evolution put them on this planet. And you're still a moron.

  • @XSJQx And I call you moron because "eated" is not a word, respectful is not capitalized in the middle of a sentence, and your god doesn't exist.

  • @sparklygoldfish oh and about the "eated" ..yes its wrong it should be ate .. but who cares ..English is not my language :)

  • @XSJQx No, it shouldn't even be "ate." It should be "eaten." You are so uneducated, it's sad. Your body does NOT need meat to survive, take it from someone with a graduate degree in nutritional sciences.

  • @sparklygoldfish guess what .. i still eat them and we will keep doing that :)

  • ask.fm brought me here

  • Poor animals. I am not gonna eat meat ever again

  • مع نفسك

  • I will get at least 3TV companies to show this documentary in my country Suriname.....I'm ashamed to be part of "MANKIND" after watching it! Humans are cruel, skinning, burning life animals!!! WAKE UP!!! Join the r3VoIution!!!

  • Thank you for your movie. It changed my life. It is very painfull to see what we, animals with a mind, made to ouw brothers and sisters - all other animals.

    Thank you!

  • I mean honestly the stuff you hear on the news isn't important comparing to earthlings. Idc about whats going on in California, human deaths, or our poor economy. I care about nature and our animals. They say technology is power but really its misery for our world. just recently we had global warming problems, pollution in the air and oceans and sicknesses.

  • 0:38 that's just an excuse to hide people from the truth. Yes its gory and heart breaking but people NEED to know the truth. Before I saw earthlings I thought meat came from animals that died without pain, medicine was peacefully tested on creatures. Now that I know it's not I limited on eating meat and medicines and I felt so much better for myself. I felt happier, freer, cleaner, clearer, able to say anything without fear, and never got tired when doing stuff or sleepy. More people must know.

  • In July, after watching a video upload of MERCY FOR ANIMALS.

    I became an active member.

All that you say is true, Thanks for your work and your determination to continue.

I know how hard it can be, to find enemies against a truly worthy and good cause.

I post the film to friends, and ask them to post it to their friends.

We can reach people, 1 person at the time, that reach dozens more.

Multiplication is in your favor, I will continue telling the truth, it is more important than profit.

  • God bless you for making this film, I cant bring myself to watch it yet. But i hope to soon. Thanks again.

  • Amazing film... Congratulations Shaun Monson !!!

  • The needless suffering humans cause is incalculable. I've seen this film, it is heart wrenching but it's easy to forget what happens behind closed doors. I want to try my best and become a vegetarian, i know i will be someday soon, i have already made small changes, i hope you all do too.

  • you must be proud to know the nick name of this movie is "the vegan maker" due to its ability to turn people vegan or at least vegetarian

  • @Designsforbattle it's true....I'm totally going to stop eating meat .... films like this are so important.....this is what kids should see not some silly animated colorful clowns running around making noise....

  • @VenusAsABoyFilms Good for you man, make sure you research your diet before making the leap as jumping straight in can be difficult at first, but well worth it in the end

  • i am a better human being because of this documentary. GO VEGAN

  • With movies like the SAW franchise I'm surprised they had said it was too disturbing. The reason movies like SAW get so much publicity is that it's not real, it's a scary situation but in the end fictional. Earthlings is a powerful film. I admit I had to pause a few times, but I did watch the entire thing. It was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen, but truly education, and I will recommend it to others. It is a must see documentary.

  • wauuuuuu wauuu wau... I was crying...is soo sad how is acting the "HUMANITY"

  • I LOVE YOU SHAUN!!! <3

  • Thank you so much for being a voice for the voiceless. We can all change it, we can all make a simple choice for all of those that have no choice.

    Thank you.

  • You Have My Support This Changed My Life I Am Vegan And Agenst Slaughter And I Think It's Stupid That USA Dosent Do AnyThing About It I Hope There All At Peace Now A'mon.

  • I was already vegan when I watched the film, and yes I cried and wanted to turn away sometimes. But I didn't, and it just strengthened my resolve. I do wish everyone would watch it.

  • is there a utorrent link to download this?

  • I will make sure it gets shown in a local library and institution if that's ok?

  • when he said "they told me we cant show this to people, its too disturbing. we cant upset viewers". thats what needs to happen in order for people to change.

  • I feel so helpless. To know that right now so many billions of animals are suffering so intensely. It is mind shattering, and makes my body feel stiff and angry. I feel like renting a shop and just showing the video over and over so that every one who walks by will have to see it. People NEED TO SEE THIS. HOW CAN WE CAN WE HELP TO GET IT OUT THERE?

  • A very beautiful documentary

  • After this Movie i am a Veggi Boy (;

    And i Hope i help some Animal's

  • watching this movie is the best thing i've done for my life, it was hard but it was the best thing, it opened my eyes. Even on other subjects, now I inform myself about all, i'm not blind anymore

thank you and kiss from france

    merci

  • Do you got to watch it all the way through if you are a vegan already?

  • I was vegetarian before I saw this film, because I refused to be a tomb for other living beings. I just'd like to thank the people who made the film and to inform people that after you watch it get it out there. Don't just call it a day because you saw it. You can do so much more. I am on a mission to get as many people as possible to watch this exact film. And to those of you who are doing something about this, good job and thank you for doing so.

  • I have watched Hostel part 1 & 2, the crazies, Jennifer's body, Orphan. Earthlings was the worst, the one fur scene almost made me throw up.

  • @duckcluck123 Good! That's what it should do to any person who is still Alive inside and hasn't been totally programmed by the culture to accept such atrocities as 'normal'....."Normal" after all, does not mean Good or Right...it just means what most often transpires....it can also be bad, cruel, horrific, etc.

Now...to ACT on your gut reaction to what you witnessed...that is what truly counts.

  • Please believe me.....after seeing this..... my heart is saddened.....and i will never eat meat again.

  • great movie

  • I just cannot watch this movie just saw some part of it though but i literally cannot watch it !!!! we need to show this movie to the world I just HATE human beings and I HATE the whole creation of the earth I just can't stop crying

  • I watched the movie and after 32 years living in complete ingnorance it completely changed my view of the world. Thank you mr Shaun for opening my eyes.

  • People will not change because they feel threatened, and movies like Earthlings take away their wall of ignorance that acts as security. Death is not game nor something mankind in itself can entirely visualize or understand, especially not at younger years of life. We deny and hide, shamefully ignoring or pretending to ourself that nothing is wrong. I was once the same; I am now vegan; I am now at peace with myself; happy for for the first time; the world destroys my heart; I love it the same

  • I am seventeen, vegan. I am the only one in my family. Over seven months ago, before I saw Earthlings, I was a vegan. As Earthlings is a brilliant example, I feel certain things also need looked at in the same aspect. The consuming of animal products is not the only tragedy the world endures, there are many backyard means of entertainment, mutated breedings and forced fighting amongst animals that humans today cause in our own neighborhoods.

  • i stumbled upon this on google.videos on day after looking for slim fitted leather jackets, and now my eyes are opened, thanks for making this film

  • This man is amazing, I thank God for him! May you always be blessed Shaun, you are one of my very few and highly regarded heroes!

  • i saw this the other day and ive no joke been like crying ever since. i knew it was bad. but not this bad. i knew for the longest time i wanted to do something carreer wise for our planet and environment but i now know i want to work for animal rights. i just dont know how to get started

  • this movie is incredible, i havent watched the whole thing, iv only watched clips of it on youtube, but all my life iv been wanting to stop animal cruelty, but iv never seen anything like this. we are so horrible, and they are helpless, we werent put on this planet together so we torture each other. it will be stopped one day, you have made such a difference, thank you so much!

  • guys i so bad want the Piano song playing in the background.

  • @DemonGurkan YES , GOOOOOD where can I find that breathtaking track????? Doesn't anyone know?

  • Mitaku Oyasin.

    Thanks

  • Please guys, im going to show this in school as a project. and i realy, realy bad, need the piano song that is on this vid, anyone know the name or the site of it on youtube so i can download it? <3

  • Maybe kids shouldn't watch this documentary, but I truly believe they should at least go to real farms and see where a "t-bone" or a "hamburger" comes from! And what they have to endure to make it to our plates. Kids aside, I think too many people browse the meat section in the supermarket absent-mindedly searching for the best price and best 'looking' meat, not realising that it came from a living creature. An creature which suffered and was sacrificed to feed us.

  • Too much pain and sufference. Did you see "Daybreak" movie, with humans being farmed for vampires? Would you like to be one of those humans? No! Then why do we kill these animals with so much hate and lack of mercy. I always believed that these animals, in the civilized states, are killed painless, but no, we are the worst plague of this planet. I think we sould be extinct somehow.

  • Hi there

I don't know you. You look and move like a homosexual and I guess you're a vegetarian to.

I have no problem with that. I agree with all the yoda-ism, but I like meat, you could have taken out the killing cows and chicken parts.

That's not going to change. Didn't change since day one. Your great great ancestors killed animals in the most savage ways with rocks and sticks. that's why you have the priv.. to be here today

There are some pretty sad thing in there. How much $ did u make?

  • His ancestors had to kill to eat. Today, we have the technology to make fake meats and get our nutrition from that. I mean, why kill to eat when you don't even have to? That's not what life is aout. Exerting your power over weaker beings to merely display evolutionary prowess. Life should be about our ability to be compassionate to others. Especially the ones much weaker than us. =) Please look into it. There is a much deeper meaning to vegetarianism than just 'saving animals.'

  • @dtbsz04 The killing is the reality part! And no, contrary to popular belief and myth, the earliest humans, it's been found, actually lived on plant-based foods primarily and we didn't start eating animals like we do now until a LONG time ago when there was no vegetation.

As for the "I eat meat because it tastes good" excuse, I bet our flesh would taste just as good if it was cooked just right, as we are made of meat, too. But that doesn't make it OK for somebody to kill and eat YOU, does it?

  • @Lisamarie1968 There are tribes that eat human flesh even today :) yeah it's not ok. Life's not fair, life's a pain in the ass. When was the last time you broke up a fight between 2 human beings? I guess you'd rather adopt an animal before a human child wouldn't you.

Everybody's eating meat. It's essential to our body. Get over it.

  • There is difference. shoot the pig in the head to eat it, "no pain".

but killing dogs by eletric current "in that way they show in the movie". or have cows upside down in big machines.. or what they do to the dolphins when dragging them alive on the road back of a truck? is that nesecary ? .

  • @dtbsz04 I'm not sure if you've actually watched this documentary, but it also shows the ALARMING rate in which we consume meat. To the point where the delicate eco system, animals, and even in which humans are suffering. Our environment is polluted with animal waste and blood. It would not be happening if we weren't mass producing and consuming the way we are. Animals are forced to suffer for our own selfish needs.Watch the film, learn about what your meat had to go through to be on your plate

  • @survivaloftheFreaks I did watch it. I'm a carnivore... just like most of the human population. Why don't you adopt a kid or something? Did you read the bible? :) Is Jesus eating herbs and leafs? No. He eats fish and all sorts of animal meat. He drinks vine. Get over it. Buy a shirt and a dvd from this guy who collected the youtube shorts and everybody will be happy :) Don't use the internet anymore. Animals are dieing because of it. Go live in a cave and eat grass. Whatever makes you happy man.

  • @dtbsz04 Actually, I'm not a vegetarian. I eat meat. My point was that the way we are producing meat is disturbing. And I've read the bible plenty, I don't think Jesus would appreciate the way we are torturing his creations. I just don't agree with the way meat is produced.

  • @survivaloftheFreaks Yeah, I agree with the anti torture thing, but what can you do? Buying a dvd and shirts from this guy won't help that's for sure. I'm not gonna' become a veg. that's for sure.

  • Comment removed

  • @dtbsz04 What you can do is to not buy these products that directly come from animal suffering. Your only power as a consumer is where you put your money, no matter how minute it may seem in the big picture- it is the only power that you do have. To deny your responsiblity as a consumer is to deny the only real power you have in this financial world we live in. If everybody saw this film, and stopped buying factory farm meats, furs, leather, etc... it would all end, immediately.

  • @dtbsz04 You've heard of supply and demand right? Demand runs every market, without it, the market fails. It just so happens that this meat market is built upon and allowed by only one thing: ignorance. This film shatters that, and is why it is so powerful. I became a vegan simply to not give money to these corporations anymore who do these things to animals. If everybody did this, the market would fail, and the corporations would have to be more humane to satisfy demand. Beat them at their game

  • @dtbsz04 But do u care what they do to our meat and how they do it ? And what they put in it ?

  • @azngamefreak46 No I don't, I barely have time to sleep.

  • are they ever going to make a movie like this about humans? the brutal things they do to each other. thats another movie that needs to be made

  • I have seen this documentary, I do say, It is really fucked up. I do believe, 100%, that this shouldnt ever be happening. But I am not going to stop eating meat. I do believe that we should eat meat, It's good for us, tastes good, but I do agree that we should try to stop this. (But, by the way, around 200,000 small animals are killed every year harvesting vegetables so that "vegans" and "vegetarians" can feel like they are doing good for the earth)

  • We feed between 50%-80% of the food that we grow to animals that we later eat. This topic isn't about pointing fingers. It's about taking action. If you truly believe that this suffering should stop, do some research. Among other things, you will see that many health experts are agreeing that plant-based diets are healthier.

  • How about organic farming casualties, do you have figures on that?

  • I've never seen this film (since I've been a vegan for 10 years & would rather not see horrors I've already seen) but I am VERY GLAD to hear that such a comprehensive documentary has been made about an industry so disturbing that words can't possibly describe how horrific it truly is.

When I became a vegan, only short videos like "Meat Your Meat" were available, but a 95-minute film should convince anyone of the inherent turpitude of animal agriculture.

    Kudos to you, Shaun!

  • I watched the whole thing a good while ago and it was absolutely gut-wrenching, some people here are saying that schools should show it to children, i dont agree, some of the graphic detail is far too gruesome for children, and to filter out the gore to make it child friendly would take away the dynamics of the message being put across....

  • I consider myself pretty "experienced" when it comes to enduring tough things on screen, but I actually had to pause for a few days when I had watched the first half of Earthlings because I cried so hard. Almost two years ago I saw it, and I've been a vegetarian ever since. I'm going to try to get the public service TV company in Sweden to show it here in Sweden - this message needs to be spread!

  • @TheDeviousDeception so you are the type that is easily converted just through some dumb propaganda movie?

  • Man did not weave the web of life: he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

    <3!!!!SUPPORT!!!!!

  • @sexpen That is DAMN straight! Well said.

  • If I see this cruelty, Iam feeling that all the people and the whole world should be destroyed by an asteroid. It hurts me very much to see this pictures- the only way out for this planet is a big catastrophe where human being won't survive

  • I just wanted to say I thought I was pretty clued up on animal cruelty, but you opened up my eyes to some things I'd never seen before.

You have my full support with all that you've done and I'm going to make sure that everyone I know watches your film.

I originally saw it on youtube, but I was so impressed, I've decided to to buy a copy for myself.

Your film is excellent and informative, and the cause you front with this should get the money and notoriety it deserves.

    Keep up the good work.

  • I watched the film, all the way through with tears, didnt close my eyes.

    thank you Shaun.

  • sadest film i've ever seen. i cried pretty much through out the whole film. :( i don't know how people can live with themselves in those slaughter houses. how can people be so cruel? Please have compassion, guide your heart to GO VEGETARIAN/VEGAN EVERYONE!

  • This movie should be shown in all schools around the world and at dog/cat shows, circus's, in super markets everywhere that contributes to the cruelty us human species inflict on the voiceless...Thank you so much for making this movie!

  • I watched the whole Documentary with my Eyes Open.

I am so disgusted with humans treatment of animals, and the planet. The most scariest movie i have ever watched. We humans really are scum. PEOPLE, WAKE UP

    Thankyou for making this documentary.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! FOR OPENING MY EYES TO THIS I KNOW THOSE IMAGES IN MY HEAD WILL NEVER DISAPEAR AND FOR THAT IM GREATFULL BECAUSE I MADE A CHANGE. now my question.. what else can i do? i feel i need to do more.. i just dont know what.. changin my eating havits- done. what else? never buying leather clotes. trying to educate people, making sure more people watch this. what else? i need to do more!

  • Become a vegan, lead by example, don't make yourself enemies by trying to force people to change there ways. Show them the benefits of your new outlook on life and tell them of the horrors of where their food comes from. Maybe adobt animals to save them from being killed, grow your own food to save the rainforest and other habbitats from being destroyed for food.

  • If this movie is shocking and upsetting, then it is also pressing and urgently necessary to talk about it. To ignore it without debate is psychological suicide to our society.

  • why ...why we enjoy causing pain to animals like that???why??? that is the question ...why???

we dont deserve mercy,we should die just like that...

  • why ...why the human enjoys seeing poor animals sufering like this, why???

    why ????

I just cant find an answer to this why...

we dont deserve mercy...we deserve to die in just like all the animals in this movie!

  • well done shaun it really changed my life....it was really hard to watch and i did get depressed for like a month but it was worth watching and i have been promoting it to many people....im glad i watched it because i learnt so much i didnt know....thank u

  • Same happend to me...was just too sad,too painfull, too depressing...I was crying all along the movie...and then I started to feel disappointed...I feel shame for being human. Thank you for showing to the world the whole truth, the REAL truth...

  • thank you

  • I love this movie. Thank you so much for making it against all the odds! It brought me to tears! I was already beginning to question my meat consumption for a long time but this movie has decided me to live an animal friendly lifestyle - as much as is possible. Thank you :)

  • Great posting. I am a firm believer in full disclosure. I even advocate school children to be taken on field trips to meat processing plants to see where their McBurgers, McChicken, and McPork come from. You can bet a lot of these kids would turn vegan faster than you can say "Would you like fries with that?"

  • I saw your film a couple of days ago. I've been a vegetarian all my life and your film is brilliant. I cried the entire way through. You have provided many people with inspiration to change their lives and make a real difference. You're a hero :). Could you please tell me the name of this song though? Really like it. Your friend, Danny

  • I am so grateful to everyone that is involved with this movie. Thank you so much for having the courage to make it and not giving up.

  • Thank you for your support!

It's with help from people like you that we can make a change.

    Earthlings Team

  • why o why should it be edited! these horrible things take place everyday, and why????? Because nobody knows the truth!!! thanx for posting@!
