  • I laughed so hard I cried! Thank you!

  • Lol

  • Haha Lee is funny!

  • Lol.

  • YEAAHH! FUCK THE HATERS!! :)

  • It made my day, love this vid. Thanks Lee. LOL

  • Haha this put a smile on my face pretty fast, almost pissed myself laughing so hard lol

  • lol lee that cracked me up. i cant wait to get back in the gym and do some of those bicep curls. keep em coming :)

  • Scooby1961 needs to see this...

  • Great vid :)

All of those "pc-trainers" can continue to read pdf articles and think they know shit - there is no way to lift extra heavy weights with the same form of 5lb weights.

It's about time someone will shut them up :)

  • 10 poeple do curls with 5-pound, rubbercoated dumbels xD

  • hahahaahahaa

  • haha nice

  • Top 5 video right here Lee haha X)

  • Lee, that was funny. Btw, get off the machines if you want real man strength! lol jk jk jk

  • You were messing your form on the bicep curls. You should keep your back tighter. maybe go for a lighter weight until you can work your way up to the 5's. keep it up, man.

:) thanks for showing me this video again. pretty funny

  • Hillariuos.........

  • Im not sure but I think I perceived a tiny bit of sarcasm there, but meaby its just me.

  • Fantastic video!

  • i can relate to this vid... it's hella funny. i know two gym instructors who ruined their friendship because of this type of issue. strict form... lolz. just like squeezing out a poop. your sarcasm is priceless man.

  • bahaha this video made my day.

  • hhhhaaaaaahahahaha :) made my night

  • I didn't know STEVE O worked out on youtube

  • HAHAHAHHA...5 pound..

  • Do you seriously train in Chuck Taylor's?

  • @allstaralex09

Yes, they are my favorite workout shoe because they are totally flat and provide a good solid base for lifting. You don't need running shoes with arches, padding, and cushioning for lifting. You just need a flat solid base.

  • @leemhayward Alright awesome. I'll have to try that!

  • @leemhayward They say when you don't use some momentum on your heavy lifts, You can be injured a lot easier and have a greater injury. Lol.

  • Haha, dude this video cracked me up. Funny ass shit.

  • this is the best video u've ever done! great job man xD

  • 9 people only lift 5 pound dumbells

  • you bounced the 5's

  • Lee...you rock man. And this video was funny as hell. I am glad to hear you talk about pushing yourself to move some heavy weight, getting that explosive energy out there and pushing yourself. I always strive to keep good, safe form and get the most out of my rep but I also know if I wanna really work that muscle and make gains that finding that compromise between the "form nazi" and "slinging iron" is where I'm really gonna stimulate muscle response. Thanks man.

  • I lol'ed at your slow and controlled motion,

But you are slightly wrong about the speed part to stimulate muscle growth, Going slower at the negative phase tears up the muscle more and thus releasing more muscle growth hormones!

    Keep that in mind!

    Good luck and keep up!

  • yo' lee, when curling the 5's, you swayed too much. bad form.

  • rofl at the bicep workout

  • I have been doing the 12 week workout on your site (on week nine). love the plan, the workouts feel great, and I definitely notice gains. In regards to this video, obviously you have incredible strength, but Is a "plate" 50 lbs or 100 lbs? Thanks!

  • @WhyTheHorseface

When people say a "plate" they typically mean the standard 45 pound plates at the gym. That's what I refer to in this video.

  • @leemhayward thanks for the reply, I have little experience, and lift in my basement with non olympic gear, so i'm unaware of standards and terminology.

  • i couldnt tell if this was a joke or serious, i'm so confused

  • "Just like squeezing out a poop!"

AHAHA I laughed so loud after that

  • Lee, I was having a kind of crummy night, and watching this video cheered me up. Thanks for making me almost piss myself laughing =D

  • @chuckphantom

Awesome, glad you enjoyed the video :-)

  • Screw good form!! Just do star jumps hahaha

  • lee your form is terrible with the 5 lbs. try to use no weight at all and just fight against gravity =D

  • I do slow and controlled but I try my best not to use baby weights when I do it lol. Like for dumbell curls I like to use a weight that I can barely get 6 reps on each arm but I do it fairly slow and controlled. But I would like to try things your way with a difficult weight and a little bit of momentum just to see if my results get any better. Sounds like a fun thing to challenge the next time I hit the gym for upper body

  • I love this video I had to coment on it. Great job doing that little video for the haters gotta love em lol. Btw you are a beasttt keep it up!

  • CHILL LEE!!..i think you cheated on the last 2 reps on the bicep curls..I think you should drop set to 2lbs,so you can get in some extra reps with better form LMFAO...i hate all this youtube critics..always complaining about something they do not no nothing about..i guess they must have sex the same way they workout..2 to 3 seconds in..2 to 3 seconds out..LMFAO..you da man lee..i follow some of your workouts whenever i need to switch it up..and most of your recipes..you the man!!

  • so funny! :)

  • Thanks for posting this. Your commentary about the exercise critics was right on and hysterical. Keep up the good work!

  • Fuck the youtube exercise form critics lol

    I got ur back lee

rite now im 19 yrs old and im at 5 plates for 5 reps

    Ur a BEAST!!!

  • Great ATTITUDE MAN ! keep it up with the heavy ass weight !

  • lol i follow your videos and learn from them, ive lost 32kg since december n started the gym 4 months ago n watched alot of videos on youtube 2 learn but after finding you on here i havent looked back and getting great results, thank you lee, hope 1 day 2 meet you n say thanks this video cracked me up, you will always get haters they are just jealous losers, why people cant be happy that someone is just in the gym building muscle they always have to find something wrong. keep it up lee :-) Alex

  • @AlexRodTV

That's awesome Alex, that's a 70 pound weight loss which is a very impressive achievement for anyone. Congrats! Do you have any "before" and "after" pics?

  • @leemhayward yeh i do lee, just sent you a private msg on here.

  • @leemhayward Lee, Your form on 5lbs dumbell curl is terrible. May be you should drop your weight down to 3lbs and make sure you stick to perfect form. Great video. Keep up the hard work with the perfect form. ;)

  • All you have to do is really squeeze the shit out of it!

  • Well here's what I heard.

Slow and controlled with small weights and high reps is designed to make your muscles "denser", as opposed to bigger. You increase endurance without increasing maximum strength. Either that, or you're doing isolation, if a specific muscle needs more work.

Heavy weights and low reps is for working out increases maximum strength and size. You also work more muscles at the same time, for example you'll work your shoulders too if you do biceps with heavy weights.

    Right?

  • Don't wanna sound dumb or anything but I've seen better results lifting weights while on the cellphone and talking to people at the gym.....

  • LOVED the video!

    Holding That PEAK CONTRACTION! LOL

  • HAHA awesome video man. Super funny

  • Funny video. I totally agree with what you're saying. You've got good common sense.

  • Quality! lol

  • Your a fucking retard. Apparently strict form automatically means using weight that you can do for 100 reps...

  • This is his best video.

  • lol!! hilarious video

  • gimme a number to send the video to and then tell me what im doing wrong. then u can talk trash about what ever. im trying to learn about the work out, not talk shit about it.

  • ok ill say it again. i ont have the crap needed to upload the video but i will gladly send it in a message. someone can message me their number and tell me what im doing wrong. its not bull shit im asking for advice ya meat heads.

  • still bad form lee......

i hit 2 pound dumbell curl.

and hit 1 rep in 30 seconds

to realy work out those muscle's!!!!

    no kiding,great video

  • HAHA this was awesome as usual Lee! Great job! as for the actual video..the 6 plate part...damn..real motivation. Thanks a lot man. keep it up!

  • just tell those bitching muva cluckers to watch ronnie coleman/ jay cutler/branch warren or any of the top bodybuilders, no-one uses total strict form for every movement, thats just crazy talk bitches!!!!!!!

loving your work lee, lets get some new vids coming for the mass building off-season!!!!!!!!

  • wow frikkin hilarious. this is why i love your stuff.

  • my gim has 1 pound dunbells LOL

  • well done lee good to see someone finally telling these haters to shut up. your videos have helped me from when i started building and ive made some gd progress with yours and other youtube videos help, not with the idiots making the comments... end of the day there all jus jealous mate keep it up!

  • Do you "SQUEEEEEEEEZE" that five pound dumbbell like Scooby1961 says on his YouTube channel? No disrespect to Scooby.

  • @inhocsignovinces88 scooby annoys me to hell....

  • @TheNikzaw Scooby has the same unusual voice as Carl Sagen. Carl Sagen hosted a show on PBS called "Cosmos".

  • @inhocsignovinces88 am from UK so dnt have a clue what PBS is ;)!

  • @TheNikzaw Public Broadcasting Channel: It's the "intellectual"-educational channel.

  • You're trying to be like that StandFirm guy on youtube only you get well deserved respect.

  • that was hilarious! but on a serious note, when you were curling those 5 pounders you were moving way too fast., and you forgot to supinate your wrist at the top for peak contraction. LOL

  • that was hilarious! but on a serious note, when you were curling those 5 pounders you were moving way too fast., and you forgot to supinate your wrist at the top for peak contraction. LOL

  • its rediculous that people hate on you when you OBVIOUSLY know how to gain muscle

  • "Squeeze like your squeezing out a poop"- Hilarious

  • Hey, lee, luv the video...funny!! i have a question and i can't seem to find an answer....my gym has a hammer strength iso low row that i love. i can go pretty heavy too with each arm....but is this the same as one arm dumbell rows? it feel different but the mechanics are similar...

  • LOL love the video!! Great job! ..I just love witty sarcasm!

  • hahaha this is birlliant lee. i love doing heavy and powerful. i bet you were getting some weird looks tho, running round with the camera having a go at it and curling 5lbs. :') see u on fb, George.

  • I put marshmallows on the ends of a chopstick. I get the slowest and most controlled curl ever. Feel free to use this tip in your next video.

  • well its a good thing im on here trying to figure out if i did the rep wrong or not. Im not saying i did it right or not....

  • Comment removed

  • You have done what everyone has been waiting for.

    Thank-you. :-)

  • HAHA, nice

  • lol this is brilliant

  • looooooooooooool u take the piss

  • hey lee just started the 3rd week of blast your bench tonight and just got my old one rep max for 3 reps on the last 2 sets. It;s my third time doing it and it's the sh*t

  • I would post a video but i have tried and tried and i just cant get it to dowload from my phone. The machine i used isnt like yours. No single armed row is possible. Im not trying to pump bs. Im still kinda new to lifting also.

  • how much is alot on the hammer strength? i did 10 plates on each side. not one armed but still curious to how much is alot?

  • @bradb69

Post a video to show it please :-)

I'm calling your BS because the machine can only hold 6 plates as you just seen in my video... Where did you stick the other 4 plates per side ???

  • @leemhayward Technically He didn't specify the divisions. I'm pretty u can 10 x 2.5kg plates on each side :)

  • @leemhayward .. dont you know lee, you just stick a broom stick in there and add the next 4 plates ... come on

  • You are 100% full of crap

  • @bradb69 -bullshit!surely anyone who could(and you can't)do 10 plates would have an idea of what "a lot" is!as lee said vid up,although i suggest you man up first!silly boy!

  • leemhayward you make laugh and this whole slow with light weights is shit i couldn't agree with you more

  • its not over nothing, its over something

  • its not over nothing, its over something

  • hahahaha

"really just squeezing the shit out of it"

man u are the best !

  • HAHHA THIS IS RIDICULOUSLY HALARIOUS! i hate youtube critics its usally the skinny rumpy guys that don't know much about power lifting ... this vid deserves 5 STARS PONTO!! BRILLIANT JOB MAN!

  • Lee, you're using momentum to lift the weights. You gotta do it slowly and really hold that peak contraction at the end if you want to get those muscles working ;)

  • That was so funny getting ur point across lee keep it great work

  • hahahaha your face through the whole thing is so serious hahahahaha

  • well done lee!!!!

  • hahaha fuckin lee man

  • props to you my friend. this video's for all the "know-it-alls" out there who hate on form. Work does equal Force x Distance after all, and you're not gonna get the heavy weight from point A to point B if u can't get momentum behind it.

  • Do you even know why i said that? He was saying he could do more weight than posted on this video. SO i told him to post a video fo it or shut up. I didnt put anyone down or make claims, so what would I need a video for? I realise i dont have videos up, which is why i dont post other peoples videos leaving negative comments.

  • it's annoying listening to all the exercise videos saying that stricked perfect form is the way to go, look at arnold he has the best most perfect body in the world and he didn't have strick perfect form he had good for thought but also used heavy weight

  • "strick perfect form" is really subjective, what matters in the end is that you are training the targetted muscle to the fullest, and everyone has their way do that, just because it isnt "strict perfect form" doesnt mean its bad form, although such a thing as bad form does exist indeed

  • really funny stuff.

  • So funny & true

  • Lee Hayward, your my hero.

    Signed ben

  • Classic!!!!

  • this shit was hillarious "really just squeezing the shit out of it" "i forgot to breath"

  • I understand exatly what you mean in this video.... It's good to keep good form from time to time but those who critisize on SUPER strict form on your wokr out videos are just jackasses.

  • i fink youur great lee, all them slow control freas are useless in the gym i used to be 1 of them an realised i can still get near more effort by goin heavier an usin the momentum insted of the form part of weight liftin... i love how your takin the piss out of how i used to be lmfao.

  • Lee the next time you do a funny video demo like this put on a "Johnny Bravo" costume. Other then that keep up the good work.

  • Hey thats sick

  • FUNNIEST VIDEO YET! lmao "I forgot to breath"

  • lee your my hero.....haha that was needed! way to many people critisizing the smallest things! great vid thanks alot!

  • Im squeezing out the poop!!! :D

  • haha this is such an ace video man love it. fuckin youtube critics

  • ahhaha thats a great vid. stupid people on about slow reps. well demonstrated lee boy!

  • Haha...I've never commented once on youtube before but that slow controlled form was hysterical. By the way, I thought you had really good form on the 6 plates. You can't get big and strong lifting baby weights...It's time for some people to man up and stop acting like little bitches. Don't be afraid to throw some heavy weight on the bar and use a bit of explosiveness for certain exercises. You're always gunna get critics. Keep up the good work.

  • @chrisbkqns13

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :-)

  • @chrisbkqns13 heavy weight with high reps works best, and am I the first guy to reply to your commet

  • @Skyoneer2007 You would be the 2nd. Lee was the first. And heavy is a relative term. What percentage of 1rm in what rep range are we talking about and what does it work best for anyway?

  • @chrisbkqns13 its just a figure of speach, its imposable to do both, like working out with your max.

  • Okay, like you recommended, i watched the video for a second time. I didn't mean to offend you like you have me, sorry.

  • @spayne3191 post a video or STFU.

  • bahahaha! he does look like Steve - O but he doesn't suck. Who cares about his form, look at him, you think it matters? There are some funny videos by trainers on YouTube where they breathe like robots and sound kinda silly doing it, it seems a little un needed. Just make the muscle contract for god sakes.

  • @TheRealDirtyScary LOL he does look like O - Evets

  • That's some funny shit...lol

  • hahaha lee buddy i freakin shit my pants watching hahaha some shit .... i live just up the street from and stop into ur website to see what`s new, and i really like the new videos....good slap chop vid to keep them comin lee

  • I tried the 5lb curls today. I really felt a good pump, and peak contraction. I think Next time I will try the 3's and really make it nice and sloooow. Thanks for the great help. Tomorrow I think im going to do some empty olympic bar pressing @ tempo 947! Between this and the slap chop, you have really simplified my fitness and nutrition life!

  • Hey Gotta Question with the Seated row are you feeling more in your rear delts and back then your chest?

  • @jbiggz1984

??? Rows are for your back, it's not a chest exercise...

  • good job lee. getting a personal best is always the shit

  • this is so awesome!

  • awesome video lee :)

  • Its so Funny how intense all you guys get over nothing hahaha

  • lawl @ 4:18

  • Hey lee, love ur films n all. since ur telling us how to work out on a strength machine n what not, can u show us how u do ur bicep curls with momentum, cuz when i use it, hurts/use my shoulds badly.. msg bacK! ty

  • "squeeeeze just like your squeezing out a poop" lmao

  • Great stuff. "Perfect is the enemy of good."

  • Lee, u are awesome, i love you :)

  • haha, this is the best ! Lee ive always been a big fan always getting the blast your bench and other programs of yours, and they way i built muscle was BUSTING my ass pushing that weight. Fast and hard as i could, and i got big quick

  • To be honest I don't think you're lowering the weight slow enough :P

  • I've been waiting for someone to make fun of those cool cats who act like a professional bodybuilder like you really needs their advice to get a good workout.

    Nice job holmes. :)

  • excellent :]

  • i definetly see where your coming from whatever your doing it obviously works cause your probly a hell of alot bigger than the people that are critics

  • mamilas

  • lmao nice vid

  • LMAO this is awsome

  • to funny lee, was classic video.

  • "make sure you squeeze that peek contraction like your squeezing a poop!"

  • Since I am a high school football player, I believe in good form with heavy weight and really going all out on every set(not to failure though) and I believe this is the equation to building stronger and bigger muslce: speed X strength= POWER! This has been working well for me for the past 4 yrs. if anyone disagrees with me, please let me know, form critics;)

  • im not doing this leehaward thing anymore its soooo hard id rather do it well naturelly

  • love it lee!!! hahaha just made my day son!!! keep it up and good luck with the show i started cuttin in 2 weeks...

  • how long should one bulk and cut for, ive been bulking for bout 7months now, how do i know when to start cutting?

  • well its different for everyone, everyones metabolism and ability to burn fat is different. and it depends on what you are cutting for. for doing a show, last year i started cutting 12 weeks out and burned up too much muscle from de-carbing that fast, this year im going to start cutting 14 weeks out, but i have one training parnter that is cutting 12 weeks and another that has the metabolism of a 12 year old boy that is only going to cut for 10 weeks. you have to figure out your body by doing it

  • what does it entail? diet and more cardio?

  • @TheRealDirtyScary

Like i said its depends on who you are and what you are training for. if your training for a BB show then its 90% diet the rest is light cardio, since you are already going to be depleting your body of carbs and calories, if you do a lot of cardio your just going to burn a lot of muscle while you are cutting, its best to peek your heart rate and then let it slow back down and then peek it again etc... like sprint then walk, then sprint, i run with sleds, builds the hams too

  • so u burned to much muscle from cutting 12 weeks out, and now ur going to start cutting 14 weeks out, wont u burn up even more muscle now. and when cutting do u take amino acids before, during and post workout, so u dont burn up to much muscle. and should i stay away from carbs completly only taking in complex carbs pre and post and simple only post.

  • @iluvfatchx ur missing the point. By starting his diet earlier he can lose the weight slower so that he will hold onto more muscle.
