  • sabbath!! fuck yeah

  • This thing is intoxicating. I want one really really bad!

  • Two seconds of playing and I knew the first song immediately lol. It sounds awesome on this.

  • hows it with single coils?

  • doesn't ANYONE at least have a DEMO so one can hear the Fuzz God NUMERO UNO? The germanium, better sounding one????? And anyone want to trade or sell or clone it?

  • @womwoms93 I'd totally recommend dude... you've heard how it sounds in this video, which was enough to sell me, but I tried one out on the day before purchase. Paid $225AU.

  • Hahaha, that's "Rocket" by The Smashing Pumpkins at the beginning, no?

  • Man... at 4:32 it definitely convinced me.. wo!!!

  • until i finally buy this badass pedal i'm going to be addicted to this video.

  • I just bought this... oh man!

  • @mcgauz23 how much are they? im digging this sound, would you recommend it?

  • Was that the Smashing Pumpkins' Spaceboy at the beginning?

  • @SeeUontheDSOTM rocket :)

  • @SeeUontheDSOTM Rocket.

  • The most versatile fuzz I've ever owned... and I've owned quite a few.

  • nice pedal, bad guitar player x)

  • I've listened to this one then gone and listened to a hundred other fuzz pedals and comeback. This one is awesome.

  • Would this pedal sound good with a fender 52 hot rod tele into a hot rod deville III? Becuase I've heard that fuzz can sound quite thin, and trebley through fender amps...?

  • @101theguitardude I run fuzzes through my hot rod deville all the time

  • the experimental knobs are cool but would I be able to get a Hendrix-like sound out of it as well? (with a strat)

  • @zimonslot you 'could' but i would use a dunlop fuzz face first

  • Can you controll the pitch of the oscillation with the guitars volume pot?

    Thanks.

  • 5:56 convinced me to buy this.

  • How much is this unholy beast running?

  • @metallikat123 $249.99 at guitar center!

  • First off, yet another way cool fuzz. But gotta say, as I praised you for quoting the Stooges and The Damned instead of the usual boring Stevie Ray blues riffs on another fuzz demo, on this one you quote not only a way cool Sabbath riff that is NOT the overplayed Paranoid or Iron man (they have so many better songs than those hits), you also quote a Herbie Hancock synth line from the 70s, which I'm sure went over 99.99 % of the people watching this demo. I'm seriously impressed!

  • sounds like shit....in a good way!

  • Rocket by Smashing Pumpkins whoo!

  • Wow.. Never heard these sounds before !!

  • I'm gettin' it in a few days - PEACE OUT!

  • 4:40 fart!!

  • Rocket!

  • LoL! It's amazing...

  • Oh my god i need that!

  • AWAKEN!!! :L

  • 2:25............... zeppellllllllllllllllllllinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • @OTISENGLISH Sabbath you moron

  • "fuzz barn" sound much better..real vintage component !!

  • This is a great pedal and does probably everything the Fuzz Factory can do, but with more options. It's probably more intuitive. I owned a FF first as well as a Fuzz Probe and if you've gotten used to either of these, this won't get you too much more.

Probably the best option is the footswitch for clicking the oscillation out.

  • Fucking sick. I need it.

  • 0:46 you can make even funny Sounds HAHAHAHAHA You are amazing Andy!

  • I'm stuck between this pedal or the vexter Fuzz factory... i'm leaning toward this one now... cause the oscillations/strange noises look easier to control, (cause you can turn them off =P) and the FF uses germanium transistors.. which i've heard vary in performance based on temperature where silicon transistors dont.... the only difference is price.... and availability in canada... haha.

  • Well that sounds like you got most of devieverfx pedals covered in one box...

  • 4:43, was that Chameleon?

  • Rocket by The fucking Smashing Pumpkins at the very beginning ♥. Lovely.

    This pedal is a beast!.

  • honestly, i bought this thing 2 yrs ago, and it was a damn mess, andy does a good job taming this thing on the vid, but man when its cranked, it breaks up ur amp too much....its a good low volume pedal and for the studio, for live situations i don't recommend it all.......other then that,,,,,,great job andy on the vids

  • @Orieus. Yeah I only played it once through a stack (admittedly it was a Bass stack) but it sounded completely different and yeah it was pretty much just a crackly mess.

  • These would be the PERFECT pedals if they had top mounted jacks, as well as DC supply.

  • what happens with humbuckers if you dont flip the ear switch? es no bueno?

  • That oscillation is raunchy and disgusting..........I NEED IT NOW

  • Single-coil FTW :D

  • This+a whammy or a octave multiplexer=FYYYY :)

  • I don't usually like fuzzboxes, but this thing is total godhead.

  • Rocket!! YES!!!

  • soon my beloved you shall be mine, On its way now :)

  • Sounds a lot like a Fuzz Factory to me, but a lot bassier, less control over the oscillation, and overall a much sweeter and warmer sound.

  • and i thought that the swollen was the bomb!

  • F*ckin A!!!!! This is about as close to a 60's sounding fuzz as you can get! I'm buying one today!

  • :O this is the greatest thing I have heard

  • gawd damn, this thing kicks ass!

  • Can you place this pedal in other places than first in your signal chain (like the Fuzz Factory) and still have it sound this good?

  • Great demo, best fuzz I've seen yet, nice playing too.

Do you know if this pedal is a little cheaper in Australia?

  • Great demo, best fuzz I've seen yet.

Do you know if this pedal is a little cheaper in Australia?

  • Jesus "Rocket" sounds incredible on this!

  • at 5.20..... oh lord have mercy !

  • i think this is testament that you have to pay for quality.

  • This thing sounds amazing in the vid. I'm going to get one, so I'll tell ya what I think. Hope it's worth the price, because it definitely isn't the cheapest fuzz box out.

  • Ohhh my lord... I just fell in love!

  • alright smashing pumpkins. what a great tune and pedal.

  • thanks for the excellent demo of this pedal.

  • at some bits is sounds like it converts the sound to 8 bit

  • @jwingblues That's the sound of the gate compressing the tone. It's a lot of fun.

  • Imma def get 1 ....4sure.

  • This, Zvex Mastotron, Zvex Fuzzfactory or Way Huge Swollen Pickle.

I want a gated Jack White, Black Keys, QOTSA sound.

    I play a Telecaster

And don't come with Big Muff. I have it and it doesn't come close.

  • @MoonlightShadowlolz how about the Zvex Wooly Mammoth? I know Jack White uses one, sounds great!

  • @MoonlightShadowlolz Swollen Pickle. I love my pickle, oh yes I do.

  • Starting to wonder if i'd like this more than my FuzzFactory... Theyre really too different to compare i think... many just compares the because og the oscillation effect whitch is a little rare (spotter and stab knob).. But I would gues you can use the Fuzz God for a lot more than the zVex.. The zVex just can't be substituted :P

  • Love those gitar fx boxes, eventhough i dont play gitar :D

  • I WANT

  • best fuzz ever made...

  • best fuzz ever made...

  • Instant Queens of the Stone age

  • Man i could play some mad queens of the stone age using this

  • Comment removed

  • Good lord how did I miss this pedal?? Damn you PGS, you make designing my rig much harder than it should be!!!!

If anything I'll go with this pedal because of the lightning bold button.

  • Instant Jack White tones

  • I'm so stoked with this company, so innovative. They pack so fucking much into such cheap units,

I'm really not not one to comment on Youtube videos man, but if you have an inkling for buying one of these just do it, they're insane.

    Go you mighty Kiwi Bastards

  • Bonkers pedal!!

  • Andy thanks for your review, instead of the blackout effectors or mad professor I got this! :D

  • HOW MUCH?

  • $249.95

  • OMG this is godly tones most fuzz vids I see are wayyyyyyy to fuckin octavey but omg this is so thick and crunchy i fookin love it!

  • 4:49 sounds like old video game music!!

  • @m1garandisthebest

think it's chameleon by herbie hancock

  • This thing is amazing. I love "Rocket" at the beggining.

  • I think i have to pit this up against the fuzz factory, they're just so diferent it's hard to pick one, lol.

  • he plays some sabbath xD

  • I think this is much better than the fuzz factory, which I think is much harsher sounding and more of a toy. You can get great actual tone out of this pedal and it's more controllable.

  • aye papi.

  • how suiting, smashing pumpkins songs at the beginning. Billy Corgan used a Big Muff, which is a bit better in my opinion, and most likely a lot cheaper, good playing and demo though, Pro Guitar Shop!

  • big muff=$80

  • Know something, I got a Big Muff and absolutely hated it. I think the older ones are better than the reissues, although I have a Skreddy Mayo and it's not to my liking either.

  • @bingefeller Likewise. Get the kind with the tone wicker, it cleans up the tone marvelously!

  • Devi Ever FTW!!!!

  • Thats pretty good but I like more Zvex Fuzz Factory

  • Do you think this is better than Zbex Fuzz Factory?

  • Better? No, they're all just different. Just choose what you like the sound of. It's a matter of taste. You buy what YOU like and you're happy.

  • One of my favorite tricks with this in Wrath mode is to slowly twiddle the volume knob while quickly flipping the kill-switch on and off. It sounds like a robot. :D

  • This pedal is the rise of the machines !

  • Sounded like 2:21 was part of the Dazed and Confused solo. Nice, crazy tones out of this pedal.

  • FINALLY!. I've searching for the sound you get when you turn your tube amp onto standby. FOUND IT

  • how does distortion sound going into the fuzz god?

  • Does it really sound like it needs more distortion?

  • Tried this thing out yesterday. It is simply KICKASS. Can sound anywhere from a Muff to a Fuzz Factory. My favorite trick: on a guitar with a killlswitch, go into Wraith mode, and quickly jiggle the switch while twiddling the knobs.

The sputter knob is beautiful, and creates some very otherworldly out-of-phase tones, especially in wraith mode.

  • The Wisard!

  • Good for muse?

  • Yup. You can get those really slick fuzz tones, and then switch into Wrath mode and get those SMBH type sounds with your volume knob.

  • sounds like it

  • What is the First song?

  • Rocket by Smashing Pumpkins

  • Thanks

  • All these pedals have such awesome names, but Fuzz god? thats gotta grab the attention.

All these reviews are very well done with excellent song choices and demos.

  • I want to make love to that dying battery tone.

  • Hi PGS,

I was wondering if this pedal is capable of getting sounds of bands like Electric Wizard or Kyuss, just a good doom sound in general? Thanks

  • @Thats what i want to know i know all my other needs are filled with this pedal...But what about the DOOM?

  • @Houdini116 Electric Wizard was the first band that came to my mind when I heard the tone.

  • I've had the Fuzzgod II for several months and it's a mainstay on my board. You can play with it for hours!

  • WOW! is all i can say! because of the extreme unpredictability of a zvex fuzz factory (which would most definitely NOT translate well into a live situation) i settled on a big muff pi. now i wish i heard of these!! the god-like wrath of a self oscillating fuzz that can be tamed!

  • amazing pedal, and did i catch a hint of chameleon's baseline by herbie hancock around 4:45?

  • I have a fuzzgod 1, it sounds pretty much the same as this except it uses germanium transistors and doesn't have the lightning bolt or treble boost toggles.

  • I had my heart set on the Zvex Fuzz Factory but now Im definatly reconsidering

  • @Waterboy157 yeah me too

  • This is it!!,

I've been searching for the perfect fuzz and this will do it all! It's beautiful, I found my pedal...

  • Awesome version of "Rocket" ... I've always wondered if there was a single pedal that could do that tune.

  • Dear Proguitarshop staff,

It's nice to see knowledgeable, nice guys are making this happen. You're doing an INCREDIBLE service. I've replaced at least 3 pedals because of the excellent "road tests."

Let me know what I can do to help. PM me if you wish.

Andy: I was shocked to see you worked at Fulltone. I'd like to hear about that experience. PM me!

I notice you always use a Royer.

Question: Have you considered the magical SM57 / Royer combination for a more balanced sound?

    swishhh

  • very nice fuzz pedal!

  • Awesome fuzz!!!

  • likin the pumpkins

  • 4:33 sounds like intense video game music. pretty cool.

  • Andy for president!

  • Im sold after the 1st 55 seconds of that.

  • SMashing pumpkins at the start ^^

  • nice love this one

  • does it require a power source and not 9 volt battery or both

  • god that is good fuzz just as lovely as the fuzz war

  • wow its graet

  • now thats different.... sounds kind off like germanium atariish.

  • :O Mindblowing fuzz!

  • think this demo sounded better than the last fuzz god demo...Good job Guys

  • Wow, now that is beautiful tone! Very different sounding...I'll pick this one up someday.
