All three took an alford plea whcih basicalyy says they are innocent but the crown has enough evidence to convict them.But from what Ive just learned there is no evidence against them,no DNA and the supposed confessions were never taped.Not to mention jury misconduct at their trial.This is yet another travesty of the innocent having to plead basically guilty to a crime they didnt commit just to be set free and those in law enforcement not be held accountable for a botched investigation.

hi everyone I was a student at weaver elem. when these murders happened. my sister was actually in two of the victims 2nd grade class. from all the media hype that was going on back then we were pretty much brainwashed to believe that the cult and these teenagers actually did these things..but were all grown up now, and seeing things for what they really are makes your eyes widen just a little bit more. they need to be free men, and compensated for all the wrong that has happened to them.

In fact, one of the boys had his genitals removed and was bitten, indicating a particular loathing of that boy and a connection to him specifically which none of the 3 "killers" had. 90 percent is an 'educated guess' The problem is, which is no secrete anymore, there was absolutely no physical evidence to link these kids to the crime. Only a forced confession. Without the confession, there's no proof. So, the facts are, Echols etc., were convicted on the basis of satanic worship, long hair, and didn't much fit into society. Also look at the entire court case on youtube here. Pretend your a juror, watching, taking notes. The jurors pasted judgement the second they walked in. They came to that conclusion simply by the way they looked, their interests, etc. There conclusions had nothing to do with evidence. You think they are guilty, OK, why... They may not be innocent, but they are of this crime, 'according to the law' If we break that statute of what law is, then everything would be in chaos. We have to have faith in the Justice system, at the moment, people are losing that Faith. A confession from a mentally disabled 17yo boy, is not enough. We now have technology that exonerate WM3. So I ask you, why are they still in Prison. Because, they were convicted by a Jury of their peers. At least a retrial, at least.

It is amazing that there is no evidence connecting these boys to the murder, and it looks like they are innocent, especilly since everyone that testified has recanted their testimonies. They know that if these guys are given a new trial, w/o dna support and recanted witnesses, they will be found innocent.

Even if you choose not to believe the eyewitness, there is so much more. Why was Hobbs taking curtains down and washing them, washing the bed linens among a lot of other things that particular day. I cannot believe there are still people out there that believe these men are guilty. It is scary to think that this could happen to anyone. All three took an alford plea whcih basicalyy says they are innocent but the crown has enough evidence to convict them.But from what Ive just learned there is no evidence against them,no DNA and the supposed confessions were never taped.Not to mention jury misconduct at their trial.This is yet another travesty of the innocent having to plead basically guilty to a crime they didnt commit just to be set free and those in law enforcement not be held accountable for a botched investigation.

Maybe I am missing something but the two hairs one belonging to Terry Hobbs and the other being consistent with his friends that he admits to being with that day, is more solid than any of the evidence I have seen or heard presented against the three men in jail.
It does not matter how many times Jessie confessed none of his confessions were allowed at the trial of Damien and Jason. So I would like to hear some other deviance that links the three to the crime scene or the victims.

However, there is not evidence linking him to the crime. I would not want him convicted just because he is a red neck inbred hillbilly.
There is more real evidence to convict Hobbs than the WM3. That is the reality but I would not convict Hobbs for one hair.

In his words now "He was just confused and wanting attention" (which is common for many guys that age). No true Satanic murder has ever taken place in the USA and the prosecutor in this case said that is what it was. These boys fit the bill of what a killer or killers "should look like" and Echols was a joke at trial. That does not mean he is guilty.

I am not saying these guys are innocent by any means. I am saying there are enough questions about it and no solid evidence linking them, that they at least deserve to have their case reviewed. That is all I am saying. I don't "support" them. I just want justice for everyone involved.

In fact, one of the boys had his genitals removed and was bitten, indicating a particular loathing of that boy and a connection to him specifically which none of the 3 "killers" had. That boys stepfather was asked for a bite sample and the day (maybe two days) before he was to give it, he had his teeth pulled.
Miskelly "confessed" first, without a lawyer present. His IQ is about 69-75putting him in the mildly mentally retarded range.

90 percent is an 'educated guess' The problem is, which is no secrete anymore, there was absolutely no physical evidence to link these kids to the crime. Only a forced confession. Without the confession, there's no proof. So, the facts are, Echols etc., were convicted on the basis of satanic worship, long hair, and didn't much fit into society. Well, that's not a crime, nor should it be enough to convict on murder. Ask yourself, what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty...

Also look at the entire court case on youtube here. Pretend your a juror, watching, taking notes. The jurors pasted judgement the second they walked in. They came to that conclusion simply by the way they looked, their interests, etc. There conclusions had nothing to do with evidence. You think they are guilty, OK, why... Because of a forced confession. Come on, to send someone to death row, need more than a forced confession.

I don't think they are innocent. I do think there is enough question to re-examine the issue. Justice needs to be done one way or the other, both of the boys who were killed and the WM3. If the killer is still ou there, he needs to be caught. If its these 3, then justice is served.

They may not be innocent, but they are of this crime, 'according to the law' If we break that statute of what law is, then everything would be in chaos. We have to have faith in the Justice system, at the moment, people are losing that Faith. A confession from a mentally disabled 17yo boy, is not enough. We now have technology that exonerate WM3. So I ask you, why are they still in Prison. Because, they were convicted by a Jury of their peers. At least a retrial, at least.

@fmnma1 I agree 110%. For justice to be done they need a new trial. Yes they are guilty in the eyes of the law but the USA has put to death people who were innocent. Justice was not served in those cases even though they were guilty in the eyes of the law. We want justice for everyone. Now, justice is not just for the victism (the little boys) but for these 3 as well. If truly guilty, they need to keep paying but if not, they need to be set free.
At the very least, Echols needs off death row.

Taking him off death row might not be justice for the boys if he is guilty but it shows the justice system of the USA does not punish by death without hard evidence.

@fmnma1 If I had to bet, I would say it was Hobbs and his friend but what motivation they had, I don't know. I don't think these 3 did it. I think Baldwin was not "tough" enough and even though a follower, he would not have followed that. I think Miskelly would have been too scared. The lack of what must have been vast amounts of blood on any of the WM3 or their clothing.....leads me to think they are innocent. It would have taken more than 1 person but Hobbs and his friend could have done it.

@fmnma1 They were initially imprisoned due to being convicted, yes. They are still in prison because people do not want to admit they made a mistake. These people have no conscience or guilty ones. I could not convict somebody if I was not 100% sure they were responsible. If there is no evidence there should be alot of doubt in the jurors minds. According to the jury they were 100% sure that the 3 boys did it. How can they be 100% sure with no evidence. Fuck having faith in the justice system.

It is amazing that there is no evidence connecting these boys to the murder, and it looks like they are innocent, especilly since everyone that testified has recanted their testimonies. They know that if these guys are given a new trial, w/o dna support and recanted witnesses, they will be found innocent.
Now here is the problem, the memphis 3 are going to stay in jail while they turn people like Maurice Clemmons loose in Arkansas. That just blows my mind.

Terry Hobbs DNA (hair) found in the knot tying up one of the kids (not his stepson) and his buddy, David Jacoby's DNA (hair) found AT THE SCENE. The poor three guys are in jail and had nothing to do with it.

Even if you choose not to believe the eyewitness, there is so much more. Why was Hobbs taking curtains down and washing them, washing the bed linens among a lot of other things that particular day. I cannot believe there are still people out there that believe these men are guilty. It is scary to think that this could happen to anyone. Not only do we need justice for these 3 poor children, but also for the innocent men that paid for this crime. 16 years is WAY too long to wait for justice.

Not only was the hair found Terry Hobbs and Jacobys but neighbors stated that they heard Hobbs call all the boys to his house the day of the murders.
