  • how come you used a gear box would it not be faster direct drive or have you geared it faster

  • Beautiful! I love that gear drive! What wood did you use on the exterior of the hull? It looks great! Reminds me of lobster boat hull. It should move pretty good and be ultra stable. I need to have you around when MY boats die, you could drag me bag in : )

  • Cheers, Yeah the gear set gives perfect alignment. Got it from an RC aeroplane. The hull is thin 3 ply 1/32" (0.8mm) !!! It's brilliant to work with, you can curl it round corners. A bit of balsa inside to give it strength and a dab of varnish. Watched your boat clips, you don't need a recovery vessel, just launch your fleet :-)

  • where can i find this 3ply 1/32'' (0.8mm)?

    is it balsa or is it a plywood?
