  • That putt on 18 that May made was one of the most ridiculous drops I have ever seen...maybe only topped by Constantine Rocca's miraculous putt at the British that left John Daly's mouth open and forced a playoff. Double breaker and he nailed it. The putt Tiger had to make was no gimme either...and his response in the playoff showed just how great he was at that point. Bob May played out of his mind and still couldn't beat him.

  • THE GHOST OF GOLFING PAST is still posing a haunting question...and challenging the result of the PGA playoff at Valhalla in 2000....Hopefully, for the ostensible integrity surrounding the game, the world will one day acknowledge that Bob May was the rightful winner...NOT Tiger Woods.

  • Nobody can deny that Bob May definitely deserved to win!

  • Wow, this seems so long ago, when the name Tiger Woods was synonymous only with golfing genius. I fear we will never get these days back.

  • One of the greatest afternoons of golf ever, brilliant play from both players.

  • they have to get the full battle broker down into a few parts on here. nobody has footage?

i taped this on VHS when it was actually happening... i started around the 15th maybe. i could sense that something special was happening..... i was going berzerk

  • Do you still have a copy of the VHS or have you posted it somewhere??? I can only think the media were willfully blind for whatever reason....This issue should not be dropped,,,ever! There is no way a ball can die in a bush for a few seconds and then propel itself at significant speed to a convenient spot many yards away...the ball interference does not need to be observed to know that...simple laws of physics are enough.

  • may shot a 31 with no bogies on the back nine on sunday at the pga against arguably the best player ever. and under ridiculous pressure.

one of the best performances in a major ever......

but most people will never know who bob may was. all because he didnt quite have enough to beat tiger on that day. kudos bob may.

    amazing

  • is it me or does brian mcknight sound really out of tune?

  • hahaha shitmyselffunny music

  • he will win again b4 he retires in 5 10 yrs whenever

  • cool video... interesting choice of music though

  • This is crap bob may shouldve won when tigers ball went into the bushes and a stupid fan threw it out right away. Bob will suffer everyday because of this bs

  • @TheScare18 I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this. I can see why the TV networks clammed up about it - but i'm amazed it was covered up to a point where everyone thinks I'm lying when I bring it up.

  • @timtyrellisgay i remember that shot like it was yesterday. it rolled down the cartpath and some dude was running right after / next to it. next thing you know theyre flying down the cart path hill. there was tall grass so we couldnt see what happened down the hill. then the ball miraculously landed in a relatively safe spot, and the dude was standing right next to it. there you have it...

  • @avzeolla Yeah that was a little fishy. There were no cameras down there so we will never know what actually happened. If I'm able to read between the lines, I would surmise that you are suggesting that guy somehow reached the ball before officials got there and he was able to place the ball in a favorable spot for Tiger. I do think that's what happened. But like I said, we will never know unless THAT guys comes clean, lol. NOT!

  • i was there and loved every second of it

  • haha i remember when the gallery called him of the tee . he hit a drive over the trees and then hit a PW . This was the best tourney have ever seen on tv

  • The infamous Tiger "point" putt. Legend

  • love that song

  • I was a hole marshall on the 16 hole that day and got to follow pretty closely to Tiger for the playoff holes. It was great.

  • youre so lucky

  • @HeatherRaeEstes did you realize the magnitude of what you were witnessing first hand?

it probably hit you afterward? i'd be interested in hearing what it was like.

did you see that ball go down the cartpath? did the crowds go sick?

  • seriously take this fucking song off

  • whats with the awful cheesy song. uck!

  • hahahhaa...word

  • whats the song at the beggining?

  • I remember that odd, bouncing "magic drive". Tiger is entitled to that stuff

  • there was nothing magic about that....theres a huge slope there the ball rolled down.....its physics..

  • still a good putt..

  • lol...i wasnt talkin about any putt....i was referring to tigers tee shot on the 18th of the playoff....

  • tiger is the most clutch athlete of all time, more than even michael jordan. tiger absolutely has nerves of steel!

  • I like how he pointed down at the ball- almost like he was guiding it in.

  • whats this emo-black music all about haha

  • haha lol, i know wtf?

  • @missingsolution only white people make emo music... look it up

  • @missingsolution Were you dropped on your head as a baby?

  • @missingsolution Brian McKnight is the shit.

  • faggot music. i doubt tiger would like it. tiger is god btw

  • Does anyone have the original version of the final round of the 2000 PGA Championship? The actual CBS broadcast, not some highlight video. Please! Someone help! Message me if you have it or know where I can get it.

  • i would like that, too. Am i the only person who remembers Tiger's drive into the bush, that stopped for a few, solid seconds, then flew out again, followed by a person running away from the bush?

  • his hands were up in the air and you saw his leg kick and about the same time the ball magically bounced off the bush. But not a single clear shot of what happened. The blimp had the only view.

  • thanks. i remember being really disappointed that they didn't delve into after they went to commercial. the whole thing seemed fishy.

  • Well I do recall a lot of replies of the blimp shot. I can't seem to find it on youtube either. I don't know the rules of "fan interference." My guess would be a free drop nearest the original lie not closer to the hole.

  • well, thanks very much for posting. i'm glad someone knows what I'm talking about, anyways. And ya, i have found zero video footage, only what I remember from 9 years ago.

  • I serously cant enjoy this with this weak ass music.

  • What the hell, all i want to see is the "putt" with the Kenny V Jim Nance original commentary and I get this crap music over the vid... garbage!

And whomever says this song is perfect is a joke.

  • inmature stupid comment by a inmature stupid person

  • dude you spelled immature wrong

  • @junkprunk you mean immature?

  • @Novantii immature**

  • where the hell is May's chip in the playoff?? nice ..........

  • Don't really care about the music....this duel is one of my favourite sporting 'moments' of all time. Shame they couldn't show May's chip shot out of the rough on the 1st play-off hole - outstanding.

  • you are so right.david v goliath, both coming back in 31,wow.bob threw everything at tiger and vice verca.ive never enjoyed 9 holes of golf more.

  • thats Brian McKnight this song is amazing

  • Fits perfectly with the video

  • god that music was awful. like country on lithium. Please to being quiet now, Mr. drunken wailing redneck.

  • the music is HORRIBLE!! please TAKE THE MUSIC OFF THIS VIDEO!

  • No it's not
