  • Such a powerful song. So much emotion.

  • I saw them Sunday in Dallas. It was the most joyous performance I've ever seen. With all due respect to Walt Disney, for 90 minutes, the Winspear Opera House was the happiest place in the world.

  • Absolutamente demais!!!!!

  • The best of South Africa, my home!!!!!

  • This music gives me thrills inside, the feeling I must cry,it's perfect.but many more!

    Ladysmih Black Mambazo, THANKS!

  • This is how I remember them when they came to Chicago in 1987, 88 or 89???

  • WOOOOOW that was Awesome

  • SPLENDID VIDEO!!!!!5*****

  • The first powerful note this good man sang, made tears swell in my eyes! Be good to each other people, do whatever you can for those more unfortunate than you with a roof over your head and food in your bellies.

  • só de ouvir estas vozes sentimos bem na alma o quanto é forte a letra e tudo mais!

  • GRRERRRRRRRRR QHEH...ESHE

  • I was not born in South Africa but I lived half my life there. Africa gets into your blood.

I am gone from there now but, it will always be my home.

This music breaks my heart. Stirs my blood and makes me yearn for my home.

  • I am homeless in Arizona. But this song gives me hope

  • I would like to take the time to point out that not alll American are racist, backward, provincial idiots only interested in the American Idol and the Kardashians. LBM has been an inspiration for me for two decades. TYheir harmony, perfection and professionalism are lessons that can be well learned by all races around this planet. Keep on singing and inspiring, gentlemen!!

  • i love this song.only in africa can u find a great harmony with out instrument and still fall in love with it.....they are still the best at what they do

  • They delayed some lyric delivery in this versions in comparable to the Paul Simon version. Mabey to defelect rythm to make it more sad than raise the roof jam.

  • Ladysmith is one of those rare groups that has the ability to truly reach into you and pluck chords that are primordial. They are incomparable.

  • ...will always be great!!!

  • This music is beautiful. Graceland was the very first memory of music I have from when I was a child :o)

Still my favourite, and I love their independent work as well. Truly beautiful.

  • Ladysmith Black Mambazo needs to hook up with Bobby Mcferrin

    obrigado !!!

  • Amen to Dat!!!

  • i luve this song!!

  • (I don't think my comment went thru, doing it again in case.... :D)

There's something so ethereal (sp?) and other-worldly about these men. It's as if I'm listening to angels! Absolute beauty, a true gift from God.

  • Life expectancy at birth for males in Zimbabwe has dramatically declined since 1990 from 60 to 37, among the lowest in the world. Life expectancy for females is even lower at 34 years. It makes the drop in the markets look so trivial...

  • They are more than perfect on their own. I saw them Friday night in Durham. What a treat. Their voices are healing the world.

  • they are awesome.. fantastic.. especially, when they sang with Paul Simon they were perfect..

  • i remember watching this in the 80's. With my mom exercising with one of those plastic sweatsuits... Apartheid regime at its peak!

  • Whether from South Africa or South Manhattan, these men speak a universal language of truth.

Their music rings of heritage, gospel, and avant garde. But not so much the latter. I have seen these men in concert, and although I didn't quite "fit in", I was one of the few who knew all their songs. If you ever have the chance. Well, you know.......

  • szuper

  • this is 'speakig straight from the soul' pure and untainted. there should be more music like this!

  • Another great song from our african friends!

Really amazing accapella singing. I love it!

  • As hard as it is to believe, this sounded even better on Paul Simon's CD "Graceland." The lead singer was turned up a little louder, and it just made it easier to sing along and enjoy it.

  • My favorite acappella group, with Take 6.

  • was this song about the disaster that occurred some years ago when a volcanic-crater lake in Africa outgassed a huge pulse of CO2 and it asphyxiated an entire village? Don't know why I think that, just imagination -

  • No it is not about the 'lake nyos disaster', that happened in Cameroon.

  • this song is so touching. you don't have to understand what it says to understand the feeling in their voices....thank you for posting it and thank you ladysmith black mambazo for the song!!!......

  • This song is so heavenly and it touches the soul! This is such a touching and beautiful song, Thank you Ladysmith Black Mambazo for blessing the world with your beautiful voices!!!!

  • qualcuno sa la traduzione della canzone? nell'albun non c'è lukytella

  • This is the true music of the soul, of life, hope and dreams :)

These guys are absolutely amazing, top rating always :)

  • who am i to comment on such powerful lyrics from men who have experienced more than i.on a selfish note, i should dearly love to hear their voices in Paris France.

  • ok, take it to the heart to heart of the Africa....South Sudan.......

  • wonderful, beyond words but truly real music, music to keep

  • GOD BLESS YOU ALL, AND FAMILY

  • I was surprised when he explained the first part of the song. I wish it was all translated even though I like it's original version.

  • the sound of home - saw them performing this live on the island of Mallorca in the Med.....

  • "...performing at the Nobel Peace Concert."

I think they would have won it.

  • i am crying right now!!!powerful music!

  • Wow! Chills...

  • i bet this is the master piece of a life time, the mother of all songs by vana vevhu(sons of the soil)long live AFRICA,VIVA AFRICA.
