i think that the pikmin world is earth i mean just think of it? duracell batteries?bottle caps?even at the end of pikmin 1 when you left it looked like earth.and earth breathes oxegyn as it said in one of your previous pikmin walkthroughs so it has to be earth for the pikmin world.

Yeah it probably is Earth. After human extinction, apparently because we kept on polluting our planet, the Earth still stood, but this time PLANTS evolved (hence the pikmin). Plus, the aliens in this game (Olimar, Louie, and pikmin) must pretty much be bugs compared to humans.

Day 1 is the worst in any game(level 1's included) because you have to go through all the text and basics. Why don't they just ask if you've played pikmin 1 so you would just have to learn how to switch between olimar and louie? It would make the first day more bearable!
