jimi tuned down a half step from standard. If you played this in standard tuning would not sound the same. I learned that from a cat named Aldendorf who put a dvd on the "Axis" album. This is nice though dude! Impressive!

How does that dunlop stack up against your RM axis fuzz? Right now I deciding between getting the MJM London Fuzz or the dunlop reissue.

the dunlop is my fave fuzz unit now for the later jimi stuff 69-70. For earlier stuff 66-69 little wing etc i prefer the axis. If you look at he maui gigs and isle of wight Jimi is using the dunlop style, one thing they are quite noisy so you have to be careful with the guitar volume pot. hope this helps

Although I get tired of all the players on youtube posting note for note copies of Hendrix, SRV, Gilmour etc., You really nailed the soul of this song; not just the notes. The JH Fuzz pedal nailed the exact sound of the original - uncanny. I prefer germanium fuzz but yours is killer.
