  • also.... 2:16 theres a dick sticking out of a bucket LOL

  • this has to be one of the most powerful music videos Ive ever seen. Not just the film, not just the music, the actual audiovisual combo is incredible.

  • how come in the end the images start going faster and faster?

  • @srpskaprinceza93 I think it's called "metaphore".

  • wonderfull song.. I love it.

  • @Sarah26630 I am 56 and still crying when i see the video ! Sold Out my guitars because i am no Neil Young or.Johnny Cash. But one year ago I find myself and bought a simple guitar and i am perfect...???

    Hasse.

  • @Sarah26630 I live in Sweden and many of my favourites comes from your country or ...maybe ..the Canadian Bacon...such as Neil Young,Joni Mitchell (Heijira)...Bob Dylan..on the border to the great lakes...Leonard C would protest..because of Chelsea Hotel...Sorry...i just want to have contact....call me....if you can...

  • he´s an great artist

  • i cant say that i like nine inch nails' version at all

  • sehr geiles lied

  • if his wife was dead, who is the woman who appears in 2:34

  • when i listen to this song it makes me want to cry. one because i loved johnny cash, and two, it makes me realize my own mortallity. we are all going to die. who is going to remember us 50 after we are gone, 100 yeas? we are only one person in a world of millions. who do i want to remember me? that is the question.

  • Great goodbye of one great man.

  • Why did he have to go?

    Such a great man.

    Sings his heart out.

    For everyone.

    God bless him.

  • its sad that nine inch nails wrote this song, and johnny cash becmae more popular...but still, his version is really better

  • he was popular long before his last album, but he did give credit to nine inch nails, and they did say that his version had more meaning, considering his wife has just died

  • @Brianbays Way way way way longer than NiN.

  • if I could start again

    a million miles away

    I would keep myself

    I would find a way

    <3333

  • oh, tear

  • this is by far my favourite Johnny Cash song, he doesnt just sing the lyrics, he means them.

  • This is a One Great song....Most of the song i hear dosen't hav most of their soul in it

  • Last song he ever did... his wife died two months after the video came out. He followed six months later...

  • so emotinal, this covers amazing, brings shivers

  • **shivers

  • one of my fav. to play simple and good

  • It's actually by NiN, and covered by Cash.

  • brings a tear to my eye and shiver down my spine...

    truely amazing.

  • wow, this is by far my favorite johnny cash song, it makes me cry every single time

  • i honestly love this song. for some reason i can really relate. everything about it except the heroin.. <3

  • @Lukaisthebest93

well he's saying that if he could go back he would find a way to make things right, but he knows he cant. So its a song of desperation, there is no hope in his words just regret and sorrow. By far one of my all time favorite songs. He sings it with such depth. Makes me cry everytime.

  • phenomenal!!!

  • Possibly my favorite song of all time.. Johnny knows what its like to actually be emotionally hurt and put that pain into music, too bad we dont have more artists with atleast half the soul he does..

  • it was the last song before he died. he knew what would happen.

  • this song was written by trent reznor from nine inch nails. johnny loved it and asked to record it. trent said johnny did it better.

  • i haven't really understood.. it's a song of desperation, or a song of hope?

he says "if I could start again a million miles away I would keep myself, I would find a way "

    did he find hope?

  • Amazing.

    I learned it on guitar,

    Great song.

  • You know, I'm not American, I'm not a particularly fond of Johnny Cash's work and I'm not into country music (I prefer metal). But this is a song that hits you in the chest like a jackhammer. The Man in Black conveys his emotions of despair, loneliness and weariness through this song in such a powerful way that no matter what you're into, be it metal, country, emo or whatever, you can feel Johnny Cash soul in the song.

Truly a masterpiece, hope you find the rest you longed for, Johnny Cash.

  • This is about what have we become, Will people love us in the end ? What will people say about us when we are gone ?

  • that and being in pain over the lose of a loved one

  • there are few songs that appeal to as many backgrounds as this one does.

and when you consider that this is the cover of the original, that just makes the song all the more impressive.

  • my favourite song of all time. and my favourite video of all time. so much emotion, i love the fact there's no real musical accompaniment, Johnny's voice really carries the song.

    RIP Johnny.

  • 2 TEARS!!! 2 FREAKIN TEARS :'(

  • i dont know what it is about this song but it has an iner kick that makes me realy emotional...

    x

  • that is a great song... johnny cash |m|

  • this reflects on me so much...johnny cash \m/

  • i like Trent's better, but this is an interesting take on the song. Maybe it's because i don't know alot about Johnny Cash but i think it fits NIN much better, especially when the rest of the DS album is considered.

  • did this cover after his wife died. then died a few months after this

  • i see

  • I have to agree with SHAYNITH this song is so beautiful and filled with such emotion and passion for the music. it brings a tear to my eye

  • I absolutly love this song.

Its so beautiful and he sang it with such great emotion

  • This is the greatest song in existance. I played this at my granddeddys funeral because it was his favorite. He died right after Johnny. As everyone else said, "It makes me cry too."

  • He sung it not long after June (i think thats her name) his wife died

beautiful song ...makes me cry ..x

  • he died of a broken heart lik a month or two after she died :(

  • This song makes me cry everytime, beautifull song i love it! :)

  • This song is very touching D: It makes me so upset when I think about how Johnny must have felt when he wrote this.

A beautiful song, and truly inspirational.

  • He didn't write this, its a Nine Inch Nails re-make. "truly inspired" by someone you know nothing about

  • ture. cash just re-did this song. in my opinion though, he did a much better version of it than nine inch nails. Still they are the originators

  • If this someone is good at it you don't need to know nothing about him to get the meaning and the feeling, the song says it by itself

Even Trent Reznor said this version is more inspired than the orginal

  • Nine Inch Nails wrote it, he just covered it.

  • yes. but trent reznar said himself this cover is more inspired than the original

  • This song is amazing.

    = ]

  • awesome

  • i wish i could see him

  • awesome I'll do that. this was his last song if i'm not mistaken...

  • Mmhm I think it came out like a month before he died,

RIP jhonny, Great song (Just as good as the original NIN version)

  • PLUS.....search for "delia's gone" by Cash...you will be blown away!

  • YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!! INCREDIBLE video...one of my all time favorite inspirations..he is my source for personal influence when it involves music...the albums he made in the past 20 years have been my favorite!! GOD Bless YA JOHNNY! Listen to his version of "Mary of the wild moor"
