If you dont know where to find your IP adress you go in to CMD and type "ipconfig".

then a bit of text will come up, scroll upwards and you can see the ip at ipv4 adress.

bare in mind that if in cmd the two DNS servers appear the same... you need to login into your router and the correct primary and secondary DNS are listed somwhere there. usually on the first page you come to if on Netgear.

The best thing to do if you don't know what your router password is is to look up the instruction manual for your router model. If your router is new and has never been used before i.e. it was installed by the service provider, try using these default combinations:

username: admin or administrator

password: 1234 or [blank] or password or admin or administrator

I know it can be difficult but try your best and don't get frustrated like me =]

Open a command shell (on windows 7 start button->type cmd into the bar at the bottom) and type in "ipconfig" (without quotation marks). Type the default gateway into a browser window and log in. To find out where you have to look for the port forwarding section visit portforward(dot)com (replace (dot) with an actual dot) and look up your router's model. I'm at the same stage as the 5 minute mark, but when I enter the DNS Server ips that I am given from doing "ipconfig/all" it says "The DNS Server xxx.xxx.x.xxx is not a valid IP address". I have checked a hundred times to make sure it is the same as the one listed on my ipconfig, and have tried each one gven, can someone help?
