I love to drive my Camaro, and ride my motorcycle. But the behavior of these sorts of jackasses gives me a reason to look forward to gasoline costing $10.00 a gallon. As much as it will hurt me, it will hurt them far more. At least I'll still be able to go fast on my bicycle.

I used to take the lane..but kept getting cut off by angry ignorant a**holes with gigantic trucks and SUVS. Ride near the curb and traffic will fly by you w/o hitting you, and I use the sidewalk unless it crosses driveways or busy intersections..otherwise i use the road, but not riding in the middle. Too dangerous.

Yes I know what you mean. If someone followed the rules in the DOT bicycle guide, they would be roadkill. I usually ride on the white line. The helmet cam I have has a very wide angle lens so the cars are actually much closer than they appear and the road is a bit wider than it seems in the video. Even on the narrowest road there is at least 3 feet to the right of a normal automobile. Plenty of room.

As anyone with half a brain can see the speed limit signs indicate the speed limit is 30 mph (15 - 20 on the more curvy sections). Not a highway dumbass!! Accelerating to 80 mph and pulling all the way over the double yellow is unnecesary and reckless. It is a grown man acting like a giant baby and having a temper tantrum with his truck. Not sure why the cyclist gave the pickup driver "the finger", but, all I can say is, whatever the reason, it is not a smart thing to do. On a bike, you are vulnerable. It is not worth getting into a confrontation. You never know how the other person is going to react. Best to just stay calm and out of the way of motorists.

I am an avid cyclist and even I can't figure what this guys problem is. Why would you ride way over on the left-hand side of the shoulder? You've got at least 5-6 ft of clear paved shoulder or bike lane to your right. Some of the cars pulling out in front of you are a little close but not bad, certainly not close enough to cause a crash. And, are you obeying the traffic laws? Several times I see you slipping between cars and the curb- illegal!

yah, hey stupid, bikes can easily do 30. My average is about 22 mph, just crusing. On roads like that I usually move much further out in the traffic lane and force the cars to pass me safely and by the law... when the oncoming lane is clear.

I was reading a brochure distributed by the MVA that actually recomended cyclists ride further into the lane(like around a blind corner) and then pull over to the side when its safe. Its amazing some drivers think you should dive into the bushes just because they are in a big hurry to go shopping.

I'm an avid cyclist myself. I do somewhere between 500 and 600 miles a month. I have seen just about everything. One time a few months ago, someone went past me in, you guessed it, a big monster pick up truck and threw a handful of change out the window at me. It didn't hit me, but it went all over the road. I just laughed and yelled out, "next time, make it hundred dollar bills!"
