@gonzogrunt1 i respect marines, but this training is alot more elite. 75th ranger regiment is in the united states special forces catigory(butchered that words spelling), marines do not have special forces unites, they are like the heavy assualt forces on tv. these guys are like the ones people talk about when a village of taliban fighters dissapears.

@jsonora18 every special operations unit gets a large check from the government. maybe the 75th doesnt get as much as SEALS or Delta but they still do get a good fund

just go there your senior year and tell the recruiter you want a 11x opt 40 contract if at any point they say there are none available, just leave or tell him to contact you when there is one.

@matthewgetshis No im a junior, Tbh option 40s are pretty popular so alot of recruiters dont even bother telling some people they are open.

Just go to a recruiter and basically say, I want a option 40, ill wait if a have to.

Take the asvab score above 55 (I think) then just wait.

@notXaXcreeper u said uve taken the asvab b4 right? i just graduated but im going to get my AA degree before enlisting. anyway, is it difficult to score the minimum required for the 75th? if u dont get the score u want, can you retest? do u need to sign a contract to take the asvab or can u just walk in and ask to take it without commiting to anything? any study materials out ther u recommend? its a lot fo questions haha. but thank you

@FastEddie718 go talk to a recruiter and he will set u up a pratice asvab the set you a date to take the real one. you dont take an asvab to get into army rangers. you take the asvab to enlist in the military the you go to ranger school. minimum score to join army or marines is a 31 uless you have a GED then you have to score a 50 the asvab is not that hard is you study! taking the SAT is harder the the asvab
