Yea, I really think these songs from Rock & Roll Is Dead work significantly better when played live. The record (mixing) somewhat lacks balls, as Nicke himself has mentioned. But that's just a minor issue, the music rocks hard..
@Belford8 Are you serious. As an hobbiest engineer/producer, that's one of the best mixes I've heard. Play it in cans, big stereo, boom box, car, micro-mp3 speakers - loud, soft, blaring - it sounds equally heavy. Highs are there, but not too much, lows are punchy but not overpowering, mids are slik.. I have no idea what you mean.
Oh I never noticed this, sorry! Yes - I agree it sounds great, but still lacks some of the drive many of their other records had (anything by Cream of the Crap Vol. 1 for ex.).
I think it's just little bit too clean (I loved the songs more live) and drums maybe sound a bit thin.. but that's nothing away from a fantastic record! Guess there are a few different tastes :)
Nicke once said in an interview that he'd really like to re-mix this record.
