OH MY GOD!i have a creek and i always find cottonmouths but i just now learned there cottonmouths! i always thought they were harmless watersnakes.good thing i havent been bit
Heck, I'd love to go even if it was an 8 hour drive. I think I'd have to do that quite often. About the only thing I can find around here is Thamnophis ordinoides and Thamnophis sirtalis concinnus.
@TheDoucheFairy no they have fangs in the back of the mouth and are mildly venemous. but they will not and cannot inject humans with venom. they eat slugs and salamanders.
hey buddy, you can come to australia and check my house out. i live right next to the bush like i look out my window and i see wallabies and red belly black snakes and water dragons, all sorts of shit. come over man
@Reebbo whatever books teach u mass-its just cooler to go out int he woods and find the stuff u read about- dude my uncle is daniel boone-i a bad ass anaturalist-way better than u i bet
I posted on your other SR video, but I'll be there the first weekend of October. It'll be my 2nd trip there and it'll be hard to match the number of snakes I saw the first time. It is an awesome place.
I have been to Snake road. it is awesome, and an exellent place to find reptiles and amphibians. it was definately a perfect place for your video. good job, man!
Cool, Id like to visit the area sometime. Ive heard good things from people who have been. I am in a decent area I guess. Lots of glade areas, which is really cool.
Cool vid. That cottonmouth in the water was beautiful. Looks similar to one I found earlier this year in SW MO. Very nice animal. Where in Illinois are you? Southern Im guessing..?
Great episode, Dylan! I enjoy how some of your episodes are focused on certain species but others are very diverse like this one. Saw my first herp yesterday, a little eastern painted out basking on a pond bank. Anyways, keep it up man!
