the lady in white dress is none other than laxmi chaya, she is also a great dancer, u can see her in the movie mera gaon mera desh - maar diya jaye ya chod diya jaye
Awesome..super awesome song....cant remember how many times i have seen this video. I am fan of the movie as well...but somehow this song really has something which i cant express in word...just imagine its 1967 and Mr S.D has composed this type of...can beat the Anu Maliks, Jatin-lalits and any other music director of our time..Really like the gal in white..but have come to know tht this was her lats movie...she passed away in 1968..let me know if anyone knows her name.. njoi
I never thought that I will find this song again; when I was kid once this movie was shown in TV and I was so impressed by this song and tune that I remembered it forever after hearing it once. SD Burman is legend....Thanks for uploading.
this songs was completly sung by just only asha bhosle only.there is not other singer in it.this is all about recording trick but yeh its definatly hot number...love it.
hi demsdabreaks srazdan is right, there's no lata in it. Infact, some audio cassettes listed Usha mangeshkar as the second singer, but, there's no lata, no usha only asha.Your LP lists the singers incorrectly. This is a solo Asha song. Rememeber from interviews that you might have seen - Asha is extremely good at Mimicry / changing voices
This is such a catchy song on so many levels. The orchestra is super lively, and super creative. Does anyone knows the voices? This is definitely not Asha singing, the timbre of the voice is very different, but it suits to the music and the song.
i also doubt, is it Asha singing?????????????

I just love the way the woman in the white dress keeps zipping into the shot, immediately before the camera pans away from her again.

to srazdan: I've got the LP of Jewel Thief, and both Asha and Lata are listed as singing on it.

Btw, to correct a previous poster, there is no Lata in this song. It's just Asha Bhosle.
