Why is it that everytime I make a friend I go to another person to make friends with him/her and the meter will go back down to 0?

Excuse me, but it appears i have miscalculated the exact achievements i have. um anyway, you should put up a rare books guide, or do one of the diary achievements, unless you don't have the dlc for it.

I got this achievement just by beating this game. I did all good king choices, and when I beat it everyone was either friend or best friend.

@MrTHEPOPTARTS I thought that would have worked for me as well, but alas, i still had to do the relationship quests.

i'm wondering did you do one after the other,or did you do other things in between,ie leave the area and do something else for a while ,did the progress bar pop every time and are your rents on NORMAL FOR NEUTRAL settings ..

@TheSUPERSOLE I did relationship quests throughout my entire game, so I did complete other missions between do these side quests, actually I did not finish the achievement until I had already completed the game and was the Queen. I never adjusted my rents, so they must have been at the normal setting. Thank you for watching!

It seems bugged:

After making a person your friend you leave to make more friends for the full 20, the original friend will almost certainly go back down to neutral and so you will have to keep travelling back to help the others.

Once you get to a certain number it will just reset sometimes.

I have looked it up and there are ways to add friends like adopting children from orphanage then getting them gifts for the relationship quests. But they all seem to reset or want toys i cant get them.

@TheGuyWithASchlong I never had a problem and I did this achievement throughout the entire game and after I beat the game. There should be an "achievement progress meter" that pops up on the left hand side of the screen when you complete a part of the that achievement. I did not get the pop up every time, but most of the time I did. I might suggest that you work your way around Bowerstone Market and jot down who you do quests for and make sure that they are remaining your friends.

@TheGuyWithASchlong I Have the same problem they go back to neutral,

so what i'm trying now is making friends them get married. put your upkeep to 1000 ,to keep the friend.it's worth a try . i dont know what happens if you divorce them all at the same time in the same town.

BUT I KNOW WHY NOW

IT KEEPS GOING Back to neutral because your rents are not normal,

put them on normal and they wont change ,

but i think it's a glitch as well, the acheivement progress thing dont show any more

I've taken the moral high road and most people are either in love with me or my best friend, I get guild seals simply for walking past them, yet no achievement.

I can't even find anyone anymore who even is 'neutral', so what does this mean for my achievement? Yet another one of Molyneux' bugs?

@DaxB92 I took the high road as well, and I still had places that had people with the "neutral" status. I would suggest just running around Bowerstone Industrial or the Mercenary Camp,  these places are likely to have "neutral" status'. Also avoid places like Aurora, Bowerstone Castle, and Driftwood, it's almost guaranteed that people will love you or be your best friend already. Unfortunately you may need to do some "evil" expressions to make their status bar go back down to "neutral".

This sounds broken though... everyone's a friend or a best friend and it doesn't unlock... loads of trouble for a 15g achievement... =\

@DaxB92 Have you done the Henry VIII Achievement yet? If not, I might suggest you do that so your morality goes down slightly. I really don't think it is glitched, and I do agree that this achievement is worth more then 15g. Other than doing some bad deeds, I really don't know what to tell you. Please let me know how it turns out for you.

@TakMonte12 Haven't done Henry VIII yet, but I don't plan to save my game after I have... Usually loads of tiny little achievements like these to fill up gaps which just aren't worth doing for their small g-amounts. I'm not going for the full 1250 on fable anyway because there's some of the multiplayer ones which I just don't want to do.

I'm just way too nice and awesome that people want to be my best friends and lovers, so that sucks for my gamerscore... oh well...

Way too much trouble for a buggy 15g achievement anyway.

Yes, xGETxSLAPPEDX is correct. But if that persons relationship status bar is at "hate" you will need to do relationship quest to make it go from "hate" to "neutral" and then another relationship quest to make it go from "neutral" to "friends". my character is evil too and if they fear you it just means you have to do a few more good expressions to get the relationship request to popup. If that doesnt work and you need to become good again I would recommend to go to your sanctuary and donate all your money which will get you to a good moral status in no time!
