  • @Nazuna500

Nvm. saw it in the description. ^_^"

  • Follow your own advices about reading and get education so you can see and ponder historical events with a proper perspective, instead of repeating overhyped victimization speeches (dismissed by other ex-colonies) as an excuse to justify today's africa's failures. "Built" with that wealth? lolno. Also why didn't africans use that wealth instead of ensalving their own people to sell them (to whites and others before). In the future try to refute, your verbal diarrhea doesn't help you. Good bye.

  • What anime is that ?

  • @NiiChaann samurai champloo its really good u should check it out

  • Mugen *-* But i love jin so much x3 best Anime TT^TT

  • SO SAD!!! It had a really saddening African-Japanese tune to it. The old woman's voice made it even sadder oddly. I loved it! I only listened to it because my best friends uncle committed suicide and my grandma was admitted to the hospital. This song made me break out in tears. Thank you.

  • @lalapoppy2 houston we have a EMO here!

  • @javiercross1 I'm not emo . . . my grandma just got out and is healthy. . . . luckily.

  • I should be doing my typo assignments, but I cant help but missing someone I have known for 2 years. I don't know where he is, I dont know if he is even alive still after all the natural disasters that hits Japan. God, please take care of Toshi for I am helpless trying to reach him for months. I Miss You very much. Song's for you. One of the most beautiful song i have ever heard! Great discovery.

  • i absolutely love this song

  • the song made me tremble .___.

  • you dont need lyrics to know what a song is about you can feel it in your heart . ok this might sound courny but still music was made to be heard by the lisiners heart not thourgh the eyes

  • perfekt voice for the song

  • wow! it's so much like minyo music from korea!!!! it's amazing how the China, Japan, and Korea share so many things in common... and yet, some share so much hatred towards one another.

  • Obokuri eeumi !!!!

  • This song is about dressing up for an event and building a house.... :P

  • I don't think I can ever get used to this type of singing....

  • @CaRzYLOLz lol!

  • Thanks for uploading this video, I saw it a few years ago. I have heard about this anime before but never watched it... I think I might go do that soon! =)

  • dude theres been slaves throughout history. even the Egyptians enslaved Jewish people for thousands of years.

  • You know, africans themselves ensalved rival tribes to work for them, or just to sell them. And before whites, they traded this "commodity" with the arabs.

So this "blacks labouring hard for whites" says nothing special about whites, It's just a small part of africa's slaves history.

Just saying, I'm not even white.

About the video, the piano is fine, but I don't like the old woman's voice.

  • @gluckseligeninseln what are you talking about all peoples throughout history had slaves and in Africa they were indentured servants and they would live among them you can't possibly be comparing the two you need to get your facts straight before you speak the brutality of European conquest of Africa still effects the continent to this day millions of people dead people stripped without knowledge of culture of who they are you need to do some much needed research ! small part ? really wow

  • @erikid1

2011 and still blaming on europeans. Come on. Also, your post is no more than this: "You are wrong, but I can't prove what you say is false". Try to educate yourself so you can do more than that the next time; and with a little punctuation, please.

    Bye

  • @gluckseligeninseln what are you talking about can you read. I suggest you read on the devastation of European colonialism and its effects on the African continent. It's not about blaming, but for you to underestimate or overlook the detrimental effects of European colonialism is dishonest or ignorance on your part. The vast wealth that built Europe was extracted from Africa how can you deny this millions of people killed. I suggest you go read a book and educate yourself might learn something.

  • @mocromourad Yea while trying to sound intelligent by acknowledging other people trying to sound intelligent, fucking hypocrite.

  • LMFAO THEY SAID THE SONG 'TOUCHES' THEM LOLOL I WOULDNT LET WHATEVER CREATURE THAT SANG THIS TO TOUCH ME WITH A 10 FOOT POLE

  • @CloudVanityXScene man this song feels great you just gotta let loose.

  • how come i can understand without understanding the lyrics? is just awesome how our brains are capable of doing so. i guess there's another question to how the brain works...and this song is just sad. you understand the pain, what she's trying to say, and you don't need to look at the video itself. you just listen.

  • @imNotanExampleRdotDo it's called dialect - tone, melody, and body language have been around longer than language

  • @BATTLEJOKE its called Samurai Champloo

  • wich anime is this? =)

  • Ikue Asazaki - Obuikue Eemui

    i love this !

  • if this song come up with persona 3 then the story will be full of sadness when your character, close his eye slowly........fill with this song.make me want to cry. but i like this song anyway ^^

  • wow, saw this a few year ago and I just started watching Samurai Champloo and when I heard this familiar song in the eps. I was like "OMG I remember this!" and I spent forever trying to find this again :)

  • dose the red bird have a particular meaning??

  • Oh my god. Her voice is just so captivating. It made me cry because i thought about my father, who died, and just how much I regret being such a bitch to him. I honestly wish I had been a better daughter and this song hit me hard. <3

  • lol

  • samurai champloo great anime

  • and this is the saddest of all for the amateurs of the genre ! Hana-Natsukawa Rimi

for the ones ho onder why i speak english i ill say it is just as strange for me to speak japanese too, but i guess after decades of japanese then american then again japanese colonisa...opps sorry administration ! it became a second nature ! no harsh feelings let's try not to make it worse, that's also what this song is about ! enjoy !

  • @lukkha1 and how old are the ryukyu folk songs you put ? end of XIX century ? long time before ?

  • and this one 夏川りみ-涙そうそう copy paste please. just for the quality of her voice

  • and i forgot one of the best ! shima uta by the ryukyu national treasure rimi natsukawa

  • @lukkha1 I think you're right, Asian folk was not very influenced by western folk, and was developped even maybe before westerners came in Asia. Every place in the world has its own old folk. This one has different instruments and rythm. I was stupid. But the japanese folk in the XX century is influenced by american folk.

I read what you have written, it's really interesting. Is this song here in japanese or in Ryukyu language ? I will listen to the others ryukyu songs you put.

  • this way of singing must soud strange but this is actually very difficult to produce those notes. traditionally the okinawan folk music is based on melancholy and the lyrics are about nature and love / both mixed with emotion. it can also be very positive rythm like Rimi Natsukawa - Asadoya Yunta or very sad like Tinsagunu hana . i hope you enjoy. the ryukyu culture is very rich

  • @lukkha1 ok sorry I may be wrong about the folk. I thought this song was dated from the end of the XIX century so it could be influenced by american, and there always been trade with Holland during the Japan Middle-Age. And the westerners traded with all the other countries in Asia so western folk could have influenced japan from here, but i think asian invented their own folk too, like so many countries around the world.

  • @roadracekirk hall we talk about the unit 731 in china ? or the korean women used to please our soldiers during the ar. or ho as treated the ainu , the ryukyu and the burakumins. how women are still treated here and how pedophilia is almost legal. how racism is even ok on tv show. how black people cant find a decent job. i mean come on you are only fooling yourself. and even though to your eyes i am not exactly japanese as i am from the okinawa archipelago i will not let you fool the foreigners

  • @roadracekirk it is not even ritten in our text books at school / you are japanese and you just live in the cliche. but you can not lie to yourself and if you do people like me from the ryukyu will alays remember you that japanese culture is not hat is ritten in the fucking nationalist yomiuri newspaper. WE are the culture of japan ether you ant it or not. japan is not only geisha kimno fuji and sakura. quit the bullhit. ithout US you are nothing !

  • @roadracekirk special but outside tokyo and kyoto, you treat the countryside like shit. look what you have done to fukushima, you never asked them for the powerplant and now their economy is dead their sea is dead. the electricity produced in the powerplant as for tokyo only and now tokyo still has electricity but fukushima is dead. that7s the policy of japan so 黙れ!japan is beautiful but this also a racist and selfish country. look what we have done in china and korea we never apologized

  • @roadracekirk fuck off this is amani folk song not japanese i am from amani and this is our culture not yours. you can not even understand thje lyrics becuse you dont speak our language. you just annexed our island and forced us to speak japanese and to forget our culture. then you gave us out to the US after the war and then they gave us back to you. but we do not belong to you only our passports are japanese. e have cherry trees here too and sun and cloud and rain. you think you are so

  • @SwtnessOfNov it is about an old lady who has nothing yet ants to cut the only kimono she owns to make close to the one she loves, and fix the roof of her house ho has been destroyed to keep her family safe it is a song about the sacrifice of and old lady . this comes from amani island here i live and am from.

  • @lukkha1

Thanks for the translation. The song is now even MORE beautiful than before.

  • @lukkha1

Thanks for the explaination/meaning of the song. Make the song even better now!

  • @Rekuyu and we dont feel japanese at all. we have been forced to change our names and not allowed to speak our language, my grand father was killed during the war by japanese soldier and your fucking emperor gave out okinaa to america after the war, so we were forced to speak another language. i wont even make you the honor of writing in japanese. but dont say this is your culture we have never been japanese only our passports are but our soul belongs to amani island and the ryukyu

  • @Rekuyu except that this is you from the honshu island who have destroyed our ulture. i am from amani island in the ryukyu. you make it sound like this language have disapeared naturally but you know perfectly that you made it disapear by cultural and ethnical epuration , rapes genocide and the like you did it china in palau and all over the pacific and south west asia. you call it traditional japanese culture but we have been annexed by you we never wanted to be japanese and we

  • What's the anime name ?

  • @WhiteSilverAngel i dont kno if you can read japanese caracters on your computer, i am japanese and if you like the song here is the original version just paste and copy this in the youtube window and you should have it

    おぼくり~ええうみ(ライヴ・ヴァージョン

  • @lukkha1 THank you so much!! You wouldn't, by any chance, happen to know where to find piano sheet music for this?

  • @WhiteSilverAngel i am sorry my english is not so good. what is a piano sheet ?

  • @lukkha1 music notes.

  • @joshtakahashi08 my god how do you know all this. i am from the ryukyu and i didnt even know the Minyo style. i feel so ashamed.

  • is this...zorros voice actor?!?! :o

  • Is anybody here named Aubrey Collins Because it me Amber Snow.My last name is really Snow.

  • What is the title of this song?? Someone please tell me, I wanna download it

  • @battlelover156 read the description

  • awwww man no love button.....:) truly a remarkable melody :)

  • Guys guys guys, -brilliant- idea here. Everybody shut up and enjoy this beautiful piece. Negative emotions over stupid arguments deter you from fully enjoying this.

  • Everyone, less talking, more crying/deep thoughts!

  • I always laugh my ass off at the comments, everybody trying to sound intelligent. I'm here for one reason and that's because the song touches me and I enjoy listening to it. So you guys keep waisting your time with your homogeneous society and all that other crap.

  • @mocromourad this is so much I think. thanks for that

  • @mocromourad You said it brother!

  • @mocromourad hahaha fuckin right

  • @mocromourad You're welcome. Fucker...

  • @mocromourad Now you gave an intelligent answer. And I believe that was youre goal.

  • @Alcathr Actually that wasn't really my goal. I just wanted to get through to some people that it's about the music and not other philosophical crap about societies. Thank you for the compliment, but I'm just a regular Joe trying to enjoy my music and hoping people will say things about the music itself instead of wander off.

  • @mocromourad But you have to remember, that YT is some kind of forum. You can read an post youre ideas and thinkings, even if you're not interested in the same things and even if you do not know each other. Unlike facebook, twitter etc. True, the major stuff is watching videos, but then we could just ''rip'' the commentary function out of YT. I agree with you, that some people are getting the wrong idea of posting comments, but not all. And sorry, if my english is bad, I'm from Germany.

  • @Alcathr I agree with you but the comments should be related to the video and people shouldnt be ripping on eachother about homogeneous societies and that kind of crap. If you want to discuss thing then at least discuss things related to the video and insults are not necessary. I'm not talking about all, I was adressing the few who wander off and talk about shit totally not related to the video. You're English is good, I myself am from Holland.

  • @mocromourad That is correct. I've got nothing more to say. Let's enjoy the video/s (=

  • I love this song <3

  • Thanks to that song, I shed my tears. :'(
