lol, do they even make 2 litre montero. Or if they did, only the very first models were that.
The new one, 3,2 DID is rated to tow 3,5 tonnes, which is maxium for car/4x4 in Europe. Above that, the thing must be registered as truck/lorry and in that case would need totally different licence to be able to drive it.
LOL If you read my comment you will realise it says 2 litre MONDEO. Dont know what your comment is talking about as I was only saying to the people who were saying there was no chance a pajero could move a bobcat that it can! :)
that would tow that no problem i have a 1989 montero with 350000 miles and its the same thing as pajaro it kills a good pickup in snow mud and in towing
The manufacturer sets the limit. And of course they set it so, that it's safe and not too much for the car when considering reliability.
And any 4x4, no matter if it's pickup or not. With that kind of trailer, if there is nothing on the back tires/the truck is empty, it will lift the rear tires.
stop the bitchin!we all know the pajero is great and well fit for 3.5t plus!oh and the yanks are idiots!go get a pick up truck man!whatever maybe if u wanna jackknife into a ditch!go pajero
I have to say, I'm sure the Pajero could tow that bobcat, but that trailer looks pretty weak for that type of load, look at the fender of the trailer, looks like its rubbing..
3 things... Your trailer sucks, your gonna ruin your suv cause its WAY to small to be pulling that thing, and finally your an idiot for try that, get a good pickup truck and a proper bobcat trailer!
And that SUV aint too small for a bobcat, its rated to tow 3300 - 3500kg's, and whit diesel engine does it well. That hapens easily when trailer is that kind of and the car is empty. Even a bick truck would lift its ass, if trailer is like that and you drive sth heavy on it . . .
No he is not an idiot. The machines weighs 6500 lbs, plus the trailer, plus the tool. No brakes on the trailer, and this vehicle would never even be able to slow down if crisis came out of no where. Plus the torture on a 1/4 ton running gear of veh.
3/4 - 1 ton trucks are standard. You would be arrested if stopped, putting people in danger. It's this typical mindset that killed others.
I can say you are a biit overreacting. How you know that the trailer doesnt have brakes, OF COURSE it has brakes! Otherwise it would be very illegal. The Pajero is rated to tow 3300 - 3500kg trailer whit breaks, bobcat weights 2900kg's(6500lbs). You americans clearly dont know that we dont use in europe american pickup trucks like you in america, they are rare cars here, fuel economy is bad, saftey is bad and they are expensive to run and use. And they are bad for environment.
Nobody would be arrested for that, there is nothing illegal if the trailer has brakes, and I am about 90% sure that it has brakes. People arent put in danger.
