  • 0:56 double mop facepalm ftw

  • Disney counterpart of Warner Brother's Harry Potter can easily do just what is shown here with those brooms in Quidditch!

  • This reminded me way more of The Sword In The Stone than anything.

  • the ending was a let down i expected a bigger fight scene at the end everything else was great though

  • whats the name of the song in the background?

  • Drop Hanna Montanna and give us NICHOLAS CAAAAGE!

  • Secreta

  • I rented this movie on iPod and some scenes like "mr pointy hat" (lol) didn't come up. Someone explain please?

  • @MollyThePanda maybe the ipod version didnt hav all the parts?

  • @MollyThePanda umm maybe rent it on redbox instead of ur ipod next time? tv > ipod every time

  • @MollyThePanda I think they changed that line for the movie. Because after Balthazar's line about being subtle, I remember Dave saying "Says the guy who wears a trenchcoat" or something like that.

  • i really liked this movie. Jay Baruchel did a really good job with his character =]

  • @Ilovetechno82m Nope. It's been shortened to just Disney. :/

  • This movie was awesome!! Then again, anything Jerry does is awesome.

  • This was hands down the best movie of the decade. It was funny, witty, the characters were likable, the magic effects were awesome, Nicholas Cage, and it still had a taste of the old-school Disney, while being up to code in the new age. The cleaning sequence was predictable even though I'd never seen Fantasia before this movie, and yet you still had an urge to see it instead of wishing to skip through. All in all 9.9/10, and only because it wasn't long enough for my taste.

  • @TAMERIVAN inception?

  • They could've done way better by making it closer to Fantasia, it's just too convenient that all those cleaning products were already in the room. But its probably the best tribute you can get making a whole movie out of that one scene.

  • ok mr pointy hat is probably the funniest lines dave says in the film

  • lol, love it..jay baruchel so good in this movie ^^

  • lol when i first saw the trailer i thought the bug man was downey jr

  • well i've never seen fantasia before. anastasia is as close as i can get. haha. i just thought the mop scene made it seem way too kid-disney but i guess that's what it was from so whatever. haha personally my favorite scene was the tesla coil version of secrets! somebody get that online!!

  • as much as a loved this scene, My favorite scene from Fantasia was the Pastoria scene with all the Greek mythology stuff. (despite the fact that they inserted the roman god of wine in it)

  • It may be necessary to know that the plot of Fantasia bases on a poem of the german poet "Johann Wolfgang von Goethe" who wrote it in 1797.

A marvelous writer of prose and poetry and a great philosopher. May you take a look for background informations. I adore him.

  • I am sooo glad they included this it was sooo funny :)

  • i was such a big fan of the cartoon !! now with the live action movie , the trailer , and NOW this featurette !!! i'm sooo excited !!

  • god. i wants this soundtrack so badly~~~

  • It's kinda true, when you think of Fantasia, you think "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". I LOVED that scene! :)

  • Does anyone know who does this song......

  • 1:12 Hadouken

  • I love Disney and I love Nic Cage, now both in one place-I am in Heaven!

  • OMG i have always wanted to see that classic scene that is i many disney movies put into live action!!..woot..soo cool

  • WALT DISNEY.. the name is WALT DISNEY... N O T only DISNEY!!!!!!

  • For those interested in the actual source, yes the upcoming movie 'Sorcerer's Apprentice' is extended off the story presented in 'Fantasia'. However, the scene in that movie was inspired by the 1797 poem by Goethe entitled 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' in which an apprentice is left to do chores for the day while his mentor, the sorcerer, has left the workshop. The apprentice is lazy and doesn't want to fetch water himself so he enchants the broom. 'Fantasia' presented the story mostly right.

  • dis looks sooooo awfuul xD

  • I have never seen Fantasia but putting that classic scene in Live Action I will agree. But Why a Jerry Brukhimer spin, and why put in Nick Cage???

  • Looks very cool! Always been a fan of the sequence in Fantasia!

  • The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Spinn off of the Mickey Mouse Fantasia sequence. Good idea [x] Good special effects [x] Good music [xxxxxxx] Good actors [ ]

  • Does anyone know where I can get the "remixed" track of this clip?

  • this movie looks awesome :D

  • Can't wait to see it

  • Nicholas Cage is so cool he'll make up for any "Hiccups" by Jay Baruchel. What? No one got that joke? Fine.

  • @IncredigirlVirginia hahahahahahahahah xD

  • @IncredigirlVirginia

I get it!!!!! That's because Jay Baruchel is the voice actor for Hiccup in How to Train your Dragon!!!!!

  • "And keep it subtle. Civilians musn't know magic exists. That would be complicated."

    "Okay, Mr. Pointy-Hat."

    LOL!! XD

  • i knew this had something to do with fantasia

  • @DRisLegend200919 not all of the movie though i went too see it and the fantasia part ws just one scene from the movie....but it was still pretty awsome!

  • @DRisLegend200919

    I knew it too!

  • Cute idea - but I'm not sure how it will work as a full length feature film. Seems to be cashing in a little on good old Harry Potter, no?

  • Interesting how the movie draws inspiration from the Fantasia version. :)

  • I cant wait to see it!!!

  • I remember seeing the "The Sorcerer's Apprentice sequence from the original "Fantasia" movie, when i was really young and, Watching this brings back good old memories from when i was a little kid watching the "Fantasia" movie over and over again, just because of the "The Sorcerer's Apprentice scene in it! :-), and because of how cool it thought it was at the time, and still i think its cool after all these years ! ;-).

  • "I command you to stop!" Lol!

This actually looks pretty good. Can't wait! ^_^

  • did he not learn when mickey mouse did it it went horribly wworng and then he trys it wow , , ,

  • did you see the mops copying him?

  • That scene in Fantasia was based off an eighteenth century poem by Goethe, author of Faust. A lot of people don't know that .

  • lol @ the tags

  • yay!

  • wow, that is awesome

  • my heart, she hurts! Why is Mickey not in it?! Don't get me wrong, this looks really good but Mickey needs a comeback. One that doesn't make him look and sound like Dora the Explorer *shudder*

  • @teatimemadness28 Well, to get one thing straight, the Sorcerer's Apprentice (both versions) are based on a poem by Goethe. So, even though this version is given a major contemporary update, it's more based on the original story than the Mickey Mouse cartoon.

  • This is going to be good.
