  • What kind of certification do you have to have to do this kind of work? I'm 15 and interested in helping to collect samples from marine life for labs to study, but I don't know where to start. What should I do? I've been watching wildrecon on discovery channel and am really interested in that line of work. Please help me!

  • That's a really beautiful turtle. I hope to do something like that when I am older

  • Ok, thx for reply. I was afriad that he suffer and his stressing because of that wriggling on table. Its very beautiful turtle what the name of kind/race is that turtle and its possible to have ihim at home?

    *sorry for my english*

  • I have a question. Is that turtle suffered through this all chipping??

  • Turtles, like mammals, do have a pain response that is stimulated during the tagging procedures. However, all efforts are made to ensure that the procedures are done quickly and cleanly, so as to minimize the stress and pain on the animal. There will always be some localized pain initially, but when performed right, the tagging sites should heal quickly.

  • As unecommunications noted, there is some pain and stress levels do elevate, but this process is vital in the conservation efforts for sea turtles
