And the private companies now pay the government to use the research that they made during that time.

The Corrpution Perceptions Index 2007 ranked the USA as 20. among the least corrupt nations.There were nations that were more regulated than the USA, such as Germany, New Zealand and the Netherlands that did landed among the top 10.
