  • thank you for your service.

  • THERE ARE NO US MARINE ''SOLDIERS''. MARINES ARE NOT SOLDIERS, THEY ARE MARINES. IF THEY WANTED TO BE CALLED SOLDIERS THEY WOULD HAVE JOINED THE ARMY. MARINES ARE MARINES, NOT SOLDIERS

  • If I recall, the US Government, upon graduation from Marine Boot Camp, called us Infantry Soldiers. Maybe they were mistaken, or maybe they did not know. I was a soldier long before I became a Marine. And Marines are tough and all but there are a LOT of tougher branches of service like the Alaska Airborne Rangers or the British Royal Marines.

They call themselves soldiers too. Then you have Apache Scouts. They make Marines look like kindergartners, but instead of soldiers , they are warriors.

  • @DavidLakota That's wrong. No disrespect to you (i'm supposing your a Former Marine, so thank you for your service), but Marines are Marines.

I just don't understand how anyone who knows about the Marine Corps can call Marines kingergartners...I have friends in the Corps, I also know a lot about the Corps, I want to be a Marine when I graduate from high school. But you can't call America's finest troops ''kindergartners''.

No disrespect, but a Marine would never trash talk the Corps like that.

  • "Beyond right doings and wrong-doings there is a field... I'll meet you there." -Sufi poet Rumi.

Yo Toking, I admire ur espirit de corps. You'll make a fine Marine. One thing that makes a Marine a Marine is three months of boot camp and 200 years of trial and error when it comes to preparing young men for battle- especially to be the first to go.

The Apache Scouts make Marines "look" like kindergartners. That does not mean that Marines ARE kindergartners. They're just less experienced.

  • @DavidLakota Got it. Still don't think Marines are that much worse than Apache Scouts... However, Marines are the toughest SOB's in this planet, no question.

  • @DavidLakota Apache Scouts?? You mean the Native guys?

  • @tokingandwoking no Marines are still soldiers...if you are not in the air force if you are not in the navy you are a soldier

  • i can barely hear you

  • Damn David this is some deep shit. Good luck. Ohhhrahhh.

  • Why would you really want to go to war???? You live in the wilderness stay there! WAR sucks! You have to ask yourself why are we really there in Afghanistan???? Find out the real truth, PFC.... Your a Jedi warrior, don't get pulled in by the dark side! Free your mind.... Do some remote viewing, find the truth!! The S.A.W is my personalty.. Squid automatic weapon Don't mess with the Sarge....... Peace,

  • Hey Sawgunner, for eight years I had been asked to go to Afghanistan. Each time I chose, "No," and instead remained committed to Education instead. Those have always been my two choices intuitively- front lines of battle or education.

Then the Life Force says to me, "What if going to Afghanistan will mean the end of the war?"

    Then I said, "Yes."

We are in Afghanistan for many reasons- some of which are not known to the public.

When duty calls, the warriors and Jedis respond- intuitively.

  • Your brainwashed!!! .

  • How so? By the way the S.A.W. is my favorite automatic weapon.

  • there r no "former" marines. once a marine always a marine. Semper Fi

  • @potato1001 riiiiiiiiigggghhhhhtttttt

  • Sermper-fi

  • @potato1001 Your right on one thing, once a Marine, always a Marine. But a Marine who has left the service honourably is called a former Marine.

  • God Bless you David, warrior monk...as a first earth battalion elder; i seek to join you my brother...if nothing other than a Shepard whom walks with the peace makers....

  • Hi David-

To say the least, I'm impressed by your collection of videos and stories you have to tell.

I'm curious to know how old you are? I'm 21- and I share many of same views as you. You seem to have a great deal of wisdom.

I've yet to sign up, but I feel that my two potential roles in life are playing music and serving in the Marine Corps.

Have you re-up'd? I would serve with you and every other man who feel the same way we do.

  • Thanks Harrison. I appreciate that. I also appreciate the important information you are sharing with your videos. Those kinds of skills & philosophy are so integral not just to survival but really living life to the fullest. Henry David Thoreau said, "In wildness is the preservation of the world." I love learning about primitive skills because it helps me to immerse for longer periods of time in the wild. When I come back I plan to return to these paradise destinations of Alaska & Hawaii.

  • God Bless David, good luck. I hope to see you come back safe.
