I loved "Barbie and The Nutcracker", "Barbie Rapunzel", "Barbie Swan Lake", I loved the film where she was a fairy with no wings (can't remember the name, but there was a character called Azura I think - I watched the portuguese version) and the one where she was a princess who eventually met a girl who looked just like her, except for the hair. I haven't watched any other Barbie movie, only pieces of some of the new ones, but they don't excite me as much...it's not just 'cause I'm older now.

This looks awful. This promo makes poor Barbie look like the stereotypical "bubble-headed-bleach-blond". I was planning on getting this for my daughter, who just turned seven a few days before the DVD release date, but now I'm not so sure. If Barbie turns out to be vacuous person she seems here, I hope it's only a starting point and that she grows, realizing there's much more to life than "fashion". I'd love to see something like Diamond Castle or The Story of Pegasus again, stories of depth.

I actually LOVED almost all the other barbie movies, but that one kinda looks... stupid and lame... Excited to see how it really is!

@963rosita I don't think they will because disney already used them. Mattel always uses obscure fairytales that disney never picks. Disney on the other hand doesn't care so they are doing Rapunzel when Mattel did it in 2002.

What happened?? She looks like a middle-aged prostitute. I also liked the old barbie movies where they did the classic fairytales, and I enjoyed the original fairytopia/mermaid ones as well. Seriously.. they could do so much better.

Her face does NOT change in every money. The last 2 movies (musketeer and mermaid ones) had a new look, but they were still the same. Now, this is the most recent movie, and her face looks a balloon.

@peachyfizz Actually your wrong, Musketeers, Mermaid Tale, Fashion Fiarytale, Diamond Castle, Barbie Diaries, Christmas Carol, Mariposa, and The Faiytopia line had alll different faces. What are you talking about. Barbie's face first changed when Fairytopia came out. Rapunzel and the earlier ones all had the same hard face, and with fairytopia they softend it up, I know because I have all the movies. Plus u didnt say movie, you said money;.

the movie is great, I don't really wnna spoil but there is a scene where Ken and Barbie, well you know, and also I think its kinda connected to a mermaids's tale and the three musketeers^^

Sounds like SOMEBODY'S running out of movie ideas! Honestly, how hard is it to pick up a collection of fairytales and say "hey, what if we redid/modernized this fairytale" or "how would Barbie react to being in that fairytale"?

What all of you don't know is that Barbie in this movie is actually a 45 year old famous designer named Dona from Donatella,shes not a girl in this movie Listen the story goes like that: One day she get's on Project Runway and she gets eliminated at the fourth episode,and then the movie ends!! We actually see a pregnant Heidy Klum Barbie doll in this movie too And at the end we will see a teaser for the next Barbie movie called Barbie goes on Extreme Makeover The Ugliest Edition :P
