This innocent driver was NOT in the roadway.....he was on the shoulder! They had just passed an exit ramp, and the driver pulls OFF the highway, crossing the solid white line, and stopping on the SHOULDER of the highway. Notice the solid white line is to the LEFT of his vehicle. The driver of the truck that (I assume) killed whoever was in the car, was driving on the shoulder! He also didn't even BRAKE until he was 200 yards past the wreck! The driver of that truck should have been charged!
I cant stand people who pull over the shoulder of a highway so close to the slow lane and expect everyone going by to watch out for them. I see them all the time.
cop caused the death of that person, by pulling him over there and causing the cars to all slow down, and that tractor trailer couldn't slow down fast enough
@ThePodpie How is that the cops fault that the driver was a fucking retard?? The cop didn't get hit! He didn't get hit because He actually pulled over outside of the highway...
@flappybunz they coulda died themself and taking other speeding on the highway all they need to do is something and bam hit another car quit being a ignorant ass hole and fucking think logic, most people that speed get involved in a accident taking other lives and sometimes not there own.
@bigchrisram Your right. Speeders can be dangerous. But, if somebody is only going 5 to 10 over and the highway is very busy maybe its safer to just flash lights and let em know a cops is near or just let them be. If they are being reckless then yes they should be pulled over. just sayin its not always necessary to pull over every single person going over the speed limit especially when the road is very busy. There is no need for name calling. Don't be so childish.
@flappybunz Yeah lets just let everyone go because there's traffic...right. Person was speeding...was pulled over. Person being pulled over apparently can not drive and stopped half way still on the highway....99 times out of 100 this woudnt happen, obviously the person driving isnt smart or skilled enough to handle their vehicle properly, therefore should not be driving. After the looks of this accident, probably isnt alive because they dont know how to remove themselves from the road.
@1Philipfry I agree with Nautical, drivers fault when he is practically on the shoulder, listen to the cops voice. He obviously shows worry when he says "get out of the road" when the person didnt get over at all.... Plus those cops you dont respect at all will be the ones saving your Rotten ass when you need help.. Your the Pig buddy.... Grow up
A) Don't criticize "all" truckers unless you are one yourself.
B) This particular trucker obviously was in the wrong. The car was touching the line, but wasn't in the lane of traffic. The truck was fully off the side and plowed directly into the car. Can't say he didn't see it, since he's 10 feet higher than everyone else.
@gimmedafilez does that truck look like a baby carriage to you? the tires are already on the edge of the lane because it's so wide, so stopping on the line will do that.
@SpiderRider3 Watch again, pause it right at impact. The lanes are wider than trucks of this type. The truck wasn't just on the lane edge, it was off the road by the whole width of the car. If you pause it at the right moment, you'll see the RIGHT side of the truck is as far from the road edge as the RIGHT side of the car. It's a normal compact car, so that's about SIX FEET. A truck like that is about 9 feet wide, which places TWO THIRDS of the truck off the road. Truck is at fault.
@gimmedafilez It's hard to tell but it looks like a car turned into the lane with the truck and the truck swerved a bit to avoid it since it seemed to have been moving faster and as a result hit the pulled over car. Anyone else see this?
the cop and truck driver should be sued! DOnt stop someone on a highway only because their going 30 kms over, the stop creates worse safety hazrds then the inital violation. Dumb ass pigs, always trying to make their quotas
My guess would be that the truck was already into it with another car, then hit the black car being pulled over. I see A LOT of close calls like this. Cop on the side, people try and get over away from that lane, like your supposed to, and someone changes lanes right into another car... almost always ends up hitting the cop or the car hes got pulled over. I understand why they want us to stay away from the officer, but the lane changing causes much more danger.
@sscam2001 Wow... You need to get your head out of your ass... Totally the cops fault? Are you smoking the same shit the driver of the car did? (or truck for that matter?) What you said doesn't make a lick of sense at all. If a cop is pulling you over on a highway (or interstate) there's probably a reason for it. Its not the cops fault at all that the guy driving the car pulled over so close to the live lane, and also not the cops fault that the trucker smoked the car on the side of the road.
@Phaticus the trucker smoked that damn car cause he was half in half out.and there was a black car on his left side and you fucking cars never move the fuck over and give us room.
@iRuckiz ok lets ee how much you stay in a lane when your pulling 53' long 13-15' tall trailer. when im driving in the semi i only can steer the truck no the trailer it follows a diffrent path then the trucl if thats what you mean.yes on cruve the trailer will go overer the line some but there is nothing i can do about itexcpt move over as much as possible.yea i know we do have some stupid ass truckers out there i agree and i can name the comapnies that do off the top of my head.
Totally the cops fault for this, I wonder what offense the person that got hit made...probably just traveling while being ignorant of the difference between driving and traveling...so sad and no this is not what our police should be doing all day...they are violating your right to travel and you are defending them eroding your rights...
@sscam2001 how was it the officers' fault? To live in a society, one must obey the rules of that society. If you break the rules, there are consequences. True, a traffic citation should not equal a possible death penalty, but ever state has rules for pulling off to the side of the road during a traffic stop. It is not the officers' fault the driver did not remember reading "pull as far off the road as you can safely do".
@jayci68 because I am aware of how the laws are being misapplied. The only one that officer should have been pulling over in that video arguably was the commercial trucker using the public roadways to make a profit or gain or to perform some other commercial service. Mere people traveling for the leisure and convenience of driving over walking are not involved in commerce and should not come under the plenary powers of the commerce clause which was used to create the grants to States for Patrols
@kimmykola I know too much. Like the origin of the Vehicle Code, USC Title 49 Sec. 31102, and how it stems from the plenary power of Congress to regulate commerce between the states. Who is the damaged party by the act of speeding? Did not the officer violate the speed limit themselves in an attempt to enforce the law? Was the party in question even driving as driving is a specific commercial act, as is operating? I question, and find answers and apply them to a dozen citations being dismissed.
@sscam2001 The damage caused by speeding is the potential and or actual physical injury, death, property damage as a result of drivers disobeying posted speed limits. As you are aware police officers may violate the speed limit in the performance of their duties. The officer should weigh the importance of apprehending the violator vs the safety of the public. Using your logic, who gets hurt if I fire a few rounds of my rifle into the air? As long as no one gets hit what's the harm.
@kimmykola unless there is an actual event there is no damage, I hope you can really get that part of this. And if we have a nation of innocent until PROVEN guilty in a court of law then every time a police officer pulls over someone they are pulling over an innocent party, you with me so far? And yes the officer should weigh the importance of pulling over a citizen prior to doing so, in the video here, the officer failed to do all that in my opinion.
@sscam2001 I'm with you so far. Actually you haven't said anything that profound. I agree that you're entitled to your opinion whether it be right or wrong. Stay well.
cop coused that accident and then dont even care family should get that poigs wages for the rest of his life fact he coused that death that guy he pulled over was off the road
@orangeblood307 The cop wasn't doing his job. He was supposed to pull behind the car to the left of the vehicle, not the right. The cop was obviously an untrained rookie who should not have been riding alone. He should be ashamed of himself, and should be held fully responsible for this accident. I just hope there weren't any kids in that car because I don't see anyone surviving that impact.
@mrtrek64 But, why would the officer risk his life because of the stupidity of the driver? The officer would've been in the road if he pulled to the left of the vehicle. It's a tragic event that could have been prevented if the driver would have pulled completely over, not half way in the highway.
@orangeblood307 This accident would have been prevented if the officer pulled the car over further down the highway rather than by the highway exit where the driver obviously became confused because of the changing white line divides. The officer just took it for granted that everyone is just as skilled as he is, and has the same driving instincts as he does. If he had pulled the driver over further up the road more than likely there would have been any confusion in regards to the white lines.
@orangeblood307 you are correct. The officer woulld be exposed to traffic where the violator stopped. So far, I've seen officers use their PA system to alert the driver to move further into the shoulder. It's the truck that veers into the shoulder, perhaps, missed the officer and struck the violator instead? Don't know, but the truck driver is mainly at fault while it can be debated if the violator was still paritally on the traffic lane. Some folks don't remember their state driver's handbook.
I know alot of you think this cop doesn't really care they do it's just most of us have seen that happen many times before and no matter what we are suppost to remain calm because when you start to freak out thats when something bad can happen it's best to remain calm that way you can focus on what you need to do to help the victim.
@pearldrumsarecool shut your mouth copper no one here wants to hear what one pig has to say about another we all know that pigs always got the back of a porker rather than posting comments on youtube you should go post an order at dunkin doughnuts fuck the gay ass police
@kostman23 I could give two shits about what you say about me first of all I'm not a pig and thats the most overused stereotypical term I've ever heard, 2nd of all grow the fuck up and quit talking shit about somebody over the internet but next time you need help because you hear somebody coming around your house and you see they have a gun what are you gonna do then call 911? Don't even bother replying back to this post because I refuse to argue with a grownup you're called one for a reason.
@pearldrumsarecool bitch porkers are always there when you dont need them are are 20 minutes late when you do.... and about someone trying break into my house, i live in FL so i own a .45 anyone is welcome to try and enter my house but know i have no problem pulling hot lead in your face as i served in the military and did my share of killing it's like killing roaches to me now... so again fuck the dirty ass police you all are a bunch of pussies running around with a badge take it off then talk
@kostman23 I'd rather fight than use a gun, guns to me are for pussies who can't fight I've been in many marshall arts classes fighting has always kinda been fun to me I don't ever start a fight a though but if I am enduced in to a fight I know what to do what branch of milatary were you in?
@pearldrumsarecool believe me i know how to fight and have no problem giving someone a beat down if they deserve it but when someone threatens me with a gun there is only one way to go. i was in the 75th Ranger Regiment i seen a lot more than i was expecting but in the end it was a love/hate situation for me i loved it because it's what i wanted and hate it because of the problems i face now such as crazy nightmares and the fact that i feel like im going to hell
Getting hit by a semi while technically on the shoulder? That truck almost took out the cop car except that he pretty much aimed for the car in front, he should be in jail for a very long time for this. As for the cop, it doesn't really surprise me that an employee in the biggest street gang system in the world doesn't care about human life.
@johnnybagofdonets no that persons own stupidity got themselves killed. That moron was literally sitting right on the shoulder less than a foot from traffic.
@92ASC All know when getting pulled over by police it's a traumatic experience for some, especially a new driver. Psychological duress could be a contributing factor here. Cop has a PA in police car and I didn’t hear cop directed car to exit highway at that off ramp or tell diver to pull closer to shoulder via PA. There is more to this video/audio via dash cam…RIP driver.
@johnnybagofdonets I agree, I feel bad for the driver, but at the same time, common sense would tell you to pull more than 3 inches away from speeding traffic.
I agree, the trucker was to blame. Everyone who blames the cop for pulling the guy over need to chill out. He pulled them over which is his job. It shouldn't be his job to tell them how far to pull over. If i was being pulled over i would be as far onto the shoulder as i could possibly get. Common sense tells you that maybe it isn't smart to pull over 1 foot from 70+mph traffic. This driver obviously left common sense at home.
looked like the cars infront of the truck driver slowed right down because they saw the cop car, and the truck couldnt slow down in time and couldnt go into the left lane becuase of traffic..
@NoHomo803 although the vehicle was out of the lane, so he was technicaly pulled over. the 18 wheeler was WAY over the line. besides .... isnt the outside lane the one thats slowest? the trucker should have been watching the road and noticed that "hey, that guys getting pulled over, id better slow down and pay attention" ... >_>
I tried looking back into the comments to see where this occured, but I can't tell what state this is in. Depending in some states, trucks have to move away into another lane or slow down. In some states the speed limit is 35mph if you can't move over. Their are regulatory signs posted at the state lines about stopped emergency vehicles. I have been driving big trucks for over 20 years, and there was more than sufficient room to pass the lame brained driver of that car stopped on the fog line.
i hate shit like this, because whenever i drive I would get this feeling in my car if i got pull over by a cop...thank god! I listen to the law when being on the highway..but seriously dam that trucker was stupid and pass the white line. So it his fault and a little fault on the driver of that small ass car for parking close to the white line...but mostly on the truck driver.
@vaststrider im pretty sure that those trucks sway... wind aerodynamics come into factor of pushing something that much. the little car should have gotten out of the lane in the first place.
@SirTomothy well if you notice how far that truck driver went then you would know cause a person with a truck could not just sway so much with a steering wheel regardless and yes you are true with the driver who didnt go pass that line but still I feel that it was the truck driver fault.
Yeah to bad the semi truck driver broke the law for anyone who isn't a retard and has heard of the pullover act. Which states that when someone gets pulled over by a cop that everyone behind the cop must get in the farthest to the left lane.
@zpgJiggleBilly fog line? wtf? if anything that is the line to the shoulder where you pull over for emergency... I can see how retarded he was for doing that... but the semi was still somewhat at fault for it because he seen the police unit pull someone over and still came that close? hmm...
@aar0n262 Why be shocked, we see this shit everyday. Its routine. In a sense, after a while you do become heartless in this job. The officers that have a heart and care are usually the ones that end up dead.
This is why women shouldn't leave the kitchen!

The officer just took it for granted that everyone is just as skilled as he is, and has the same driving instincts as he does. If he had pulled the driver over further up the road more than likely there would have been any confusion in regards to the white lines.
mrtrek64 5 months ago 3

@pearldrumsarecool shut your mouth copper no one here wants to hear what one pig has to say about another we all know that pigs always got the back of a porker rather than posting comments on youtube you should go post an order at dunkin doughnuts fuck the gay ass police
kostman23 5 months ago
@kostman23 I could give two shits about what you say about me first of all I'm not a pig and thats the most overused stereotypical term I've ever heard, 2nd of all grow the fuck up and quit talking shit about somebody over the internet but next time you need help because you hear somebody coming around your house and you see they have a gun what are you gonna do then call 911? Don't even bother replying back to this post because I refuse to argue with a grownup you're called one for a reason.
pearldrumsarecool 5 months ago
@pearldrumsarecool bitch porkers are always there when you dont need them are are 20 minutes late when you do.... and about someone trying break into my house, i live in FL so i own a .45 anyone is welcome to try and enter my house but know i have no problem pulling hot lead in your face as i served in the military and did my share of killing it's like killing roaches to me now... so again fuck the dirty ass police you all are a bunch of pussies running around with a badge take it off then talk

@kostman23 I'd rather fight than use a gun, guns to me are for pussies who can't fight I've been in many marshall arts classes fighting has always kinda been fun to me I don't ever start a fight a though but if I am enduced in to a fight I know what to do what branch of milatary were you in?
pearldrumsarecool 5 months ago

92ASC 5 months ago
@92ASC All know when getting pulled over by police it's a traumatic experience for some, especially a new driver. Psychological duress could be a contributing factor here. Cop has a PA in police car and I didn’t hear cop directed car to exit highway at that off ramp or tell diver to pull closer to shoulder via PA. There is more to this video/audio via dash cam…RIP driver.
johnnybagofdonets 5 months ago
@johnnybagofdonets I agree, I feel bad for the driver, but at the same time, common sense would tell you to pull more than 3 inches away from speeding traffic.
92ASC 5 months ago
THE COP PULLED HIM OVER BECAUSE HE WANTED TO WARN HIM THAT A SEMI WAS GOING TO HAVE A REAR END COLLISION

Another idiot truck driver who can't stay on his lane.
lfsracer79 5 months ago 38
@lfsracer79
Jongiblets 5 months ago
@lfsracer79
looked like the cars infront of the truck driver slowed right down because they saw the cop car, and the truck couldnt slow down in time and couldnt go into the left lane becuase of traffic..

TheHoomaikai 6 months ago
@TheHoomaikai Well but they just stopped..following traffic cant react so fast to change lanes..if there are vehicles in other left lane.
akhileshp2007 6 months ago
i hate shit like this, because whenever i drive I would get this feeling in my car if i got pull over by a cop...thank god! I listen to the law when being on the highway..but seriously dam that trucker was stupid and pass the white line. So it his fault and a little fault on the driver of that small ass car for parking close to the white line...but mostly on the truck driver.
vaststrider 7 months ago
@vaststrider im pretty sure that those trucks sway... wind aerodynamics come into factor of pushing something that much. the little car should have gotten out of the lane in the first place.
SirTomothy 6 months ago
@SirTomothy well if you notice how far that truck driver went then you would know cause a person with a truck could not just sway so much with a steering wheel regardless and yes you are true with the driver who didnt go pass that line but still I feel that it was the truck driver fault.
vaststrider 6 months ago
@vaststrider theres a lot more factors that could go into play too though :/ tough to say. the fact still remains, idiots get their license xD
SirTomothy 6 months ago
@SirTomothy that is so true Tom they actually need their license revoked instead,

Yeah to bad the semi truck driver broke the law for anyone who isn't a retard and has heard of the pullover act. Which states that when someone gets pulled over by a cop that everyone behind the cop must get in the farthest to the left lane.
MrClayFTW 7 months ago
@MrClayFTW Ehem, Driving on or over the fog line isn't against the law, also the car being pulled over was still in the lane.
zpgJiggleBilly 7 months ago
@zpgJiggleBilly fog line? wtf? if anything that is the line to the shoulder where you pull over for emergency... I can see how retarded he was for doing that... but the semi was still somewhat at fault for it because he seen the police unit pull someone over and still came that close? hmm...

When we get tickets here in NY we pull onto the shoulder because the grass would be blocked off by a guard rail.
