  • to downtown NJ or grand central?

  • Nice train. Too bad they suspended it for the season. Maybe they should hand over ownership to NJT.

  • The ACES train uses an AEM-7 electric locomotive because it travels from Atlantic City to NY Penn Station via the NE Corridor. Diesel locomotives are not permitted to operate in the Hudson Tunnel and must be shut down. Once the train crosses into Philadelphia at Shore Tower, the electric loco takes over for the remainder of the trip.

  • @roman93 alp-44 not aem 7 it loks like one but its a alp-44

  • that was great

  • Question: Why is there a P40 loco pulling while an electric loco is on the back?

  • @BNSF7508 This train has to change ends when it gets to Amtrak territory. Unlike the Atlantic City trains, Aces trains don't run into Philadelphia, only New York. They could just use a cab car, but I think the electric loco is a better performer than the P40.

  • Nice. Cool Doppler.

  • MY HORN IS AS LOUD AS EVER

  • Awesome!

  • I love how you can see the P40 coming through the MoW truck window. Awesome K5LA!

  • what camrea u use?

  • WOW ur camrea is amazing my camreas hd but not as good as this nice sharp image 5 stars great horn

  • very cool, btw, NJT regesters the P40s at P40BHs, no DCs

  • Thanks, will make the correction!

  • no problem, just letting you know

  • @NJT4111 what is the difference between bh and dc?

  • @MrGamester66

Nothing actually. A P40DC is what Amtrak and GE call them. However, the first line of P40DCs that were produced were listed as P40BHs on their builder plates. NJT got 4 of the original P40BHs.

  • Nice job. Is it just me, or does that paint job on the P40 make it look like a sleep-deprived person with bags under their eyes?

  • Awesome shot of ACES. Love that horn! 5*, a favorite, and a channel post.

  • cool paintscheme

  • Nice video! 4801 and 4803 have good in-tune K5LA horns. 4800's might be a hybrid K5LA or a K5HL, and 4802's has one chime out of tune.

  • I'm pretty sure that 4800 has a K5LA, especially since all NJT units, with the exception of Comet 1s, Arrow 3s, and 4112, have K5LAs.

  • 4800 is hybrid, K5HL is very deep

  • Nice!
