I was sailing Vortex 1160 in both of these videos. It was blowing a top end of a F5 with resonable sized waves. If you watch the other of these videos you will see what was happening when on the wire with the kite up. It was safer and faster to stay sitting and go for it. Vortexes can go up wind in nearly anything, but down wind they do have a tendency to nose dive, especialy in to waves.
The guy who nose dived in the other video is a national champion in Vortexs.
Ive never seen or heard of these boats before

it's all very much smoother with one hull almost out the water, isn't it. Not much wiring with the kite up though. Any reason?
