@z2ato Arizona, as well as most of the southwest, was "their" country until "OUR" country just took it from them pushing them further inward or just slaughtering them as we went. We didn't even bother with an excuse like they bombed one of our ships, or they had WMD's the stated reason was simply manifest destiny...or in other words (God said we could take it)....LOL!

And Besides. All they want to do is work for the better good of there people. As for the colonials that started this "free country", they came with the same mentality as other imagrants do. Why do we elect these people into office? FEAR!! SB1070 is a rest to fear of all the jobs to be taken by illegals. Have you seen, "A Day Without Mexican? Will others take the job responsibilities of the Hispanics in America? You can't help lazy. Besides, being Native American has given me a broader and more historical perspective on the situation. Mexico was Arizona. They killed and presured Mexico to get this land we stand on today. All but Natives are Illegal by my standards.

I did the research my self when this issue first erupted and came to the same conclusion of massively declining illegal problem. I've been telling bigots all over the blogosphere what I had found. What I discovered is facts don't matter...haters want any reason to hate that's what they thrive on. I hope those who are simply misinformed start to understand the nature of right wing politics. The beef they have is that they are not in power...and there's a black man in the white house.

@tgrigsby7 I doubt I can still find a lot of those sites still in my browsing history, since I'm good about cleaning that stuff, But I'll do my best to recreate that research for you when I get the chance. You can start by looking into national and Arizona crime stats for the periods leading into this politically motivated incitement. I also tried to look into claims of decapitations by illegals in Arizona and come up empty...except when The Governor or her supporters were making those claims.

This is MUST SEE TV, if you live in Arizona or if you care about responsible journalism (i.e., from a reputable network): AZ Gov. Jan Brewer pulls ads from KPHO due to its investigation into Gov's lobbyist ties with CCA and connections with SB 1070. This coming NOT from CBS, but from MSNBC. Kudos to both from me!
