@dauts21 Coaches do not get paid on percentage of ticket sales. Players while in school cannot be offered endorsement deals (NCAA violation). They encourage fans to go for a simple reason: HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE. In football, the crowd can have a HUGE impact on the game. When on defense, a loud crowd can startle the opposing team, make the players jump offsides and impede the QB from relaying signals in the huddle or making audibles. Against UCF, the crowd at the cage cost UCF 3 penalties.
