Wow, I never knew VLC had a convertor. I've used VLC for years now. LoL thx for letting me know about that feature. I'm currently using v1.1.7. you can just convert without creating profiles. and it converts to all types of extensions.

Great vid. I found a faster way to do it, tho. If you're using the Real Player option to download the videos, all you have to do is, in Real Player, right click on the video, select "Convert to..." and in the conversion options select "MP3 audio only", choose your destination for the MP3 file, then hit "Convert". It takes maybe 10 seconds. Enjoy.

P.S: To the uploader, I'm not trying to 1up you or anything, I just thought I'd share an alternative option.

You can change the bitrate, yes. Your file size will be larger but it'll sound better. Be aware, you can't name your file anything with a apostrophe. "david.mp3" will convert, "david's.mp3" will not. Might have the same problem with a parenthesis or other symbols but I haven't tried it. If you have one in the title and it won't export to mp3, that's probably why. Just rename the file with your symbol included after the conversion.

VLC is my favourite media player for awhile now, it's simply perfect for videos, codecs work like a charm, music can go 2x louder. If only it had a better way to display a library of media, I'd dicth media player for mp3 playing.

For those having problems. I use Internet Download Manager, im sure there's other download managers that will allow video downloading. Also for VLC, get the latest version and just use the convert to MP3 profile. Don't have to change setting manually. (make sure the 'destination' file still has .mp3 at the end) Hope this helps!

@MattAndi Unfortuneately the bookmark for Chrome no longer works, I am unsure as to why but you can no longer download videos with it, I suggest either finding an addon for Chrome that can do it, or use "Download Helper" for Mozilla Firefox to do so, the rest of the video will work the same. I plan on uploading a new video soon explaining how to do this.
