  • @tglashen You are very welcome.

  • Thank you so much for the info!...You Helped me out so much!...Hit the nail on the Head thank you! And I was just about to throw my machine out!!!....Life saver!!!!!!

  • @LuvinMyLace Awesome....glad I could help. Now you have some extra money for Christmas, lol. I am glad it worked out.

  • @ImRamro HAHAHA, extra money for christmas, I think ima save mine for my dream home. Lol...Thanks for the vid.

  • thanks for the info on this, i have an older top loader that will need this fix. i just fixed my front loading washer pump, which is different, they don't take power from the drive motor, it has its own motor. are those geese in the background I hear in your video? thx, eric

  • @erochow Good luck on the repair, and no, those are our parrots, lol. We do parrot rescue and foster parenting so we have several large parrots in the house. Thanks for watching the video Eric.

  • @ImRamro that's great you do parrot rescue, my mother-in-law does wild animal rescue, lots of hawks and possums and raccoons. she is licensed and trained to work with them. thx, eric.

  • You so rock! Thanks for this info! We just ordered the part online ($17 including shipping) and will hopefully get this working in a few days once we get the part. (And yes, we too had a very difficult time removing the pump due to rust, so thanks for the heads up on that, too.)

  • @spiryll99 Sweet! Please let me know how it turned out if you get a chance. We were pretty devastated when our washer went out, but with a little research and basic appliance knowledge we had it going in no time. Since then several other appliance have had problems and we fixed them all our self. It is extremely rewarding to say..." I fixed that!" Good luck, and I am sure it will work.

  • Thanks for the tutorial. However, I had a REALLY hard time to pump the pump back into the motor shaft. Mortor shaft was really rusty and the pump couldnt get into it. I had to use some sand paper on the shaft.

Anyway, after 1 hour everything works fine.

    Thanks!

  • @jfmartel Sorry, I should have mentioned that my old motor was literally welded to the pump by rust. I had to pry the old one off, use a steel brush, then sand the surface clean. My pump was probably leaking for a while. It was easy, but I should have warned that there could be a ton of rust. I am glad you tackled the project, there are so many other things like this we can all fix. Glad the video helped.

  • @ImRamro I tried prying the water pump off the motor, but it's stuck.

  • @fishslab Mine was stuck bad, the metal shaft was rusted on to the plastic pump. I guess it was leaking for a while. The pump "WILL" come off! Just make sure there is no bolts or retainer clips left and tap it with a hammer. I had to beat on the plastic pump with a rubber mallet to get mine off. Then, once the pump came off the shaft, I sanded and oiled the shaft so it would fit easily on the new pump.

  • I HAVE A LEAKING WASHING MACHINE, (KENMORE) AND I'LL TRY YOUR ADVICE. THANKS, I'LL LET YOU KNOW IF I CAN DO IT, YOU MAKE IT LOOK EASY.

    ANN

  • @A7XIIKING99 It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I posted this video to help at least one person.

If this is your problem please let me know how it turned out. Thank you for watching.
