I visited Kennebunk for the first time in August. I met the most beautiful family, ate good food, and breathed in the freshest, purest air. A very special place, I'll never forget it.

i used to go there every year and stay at the lithuanian monastery down the street from the beach. i miss the seafood shack, and homey, comforting, kennebunkport.
My second hometown. (We owned a summer home by the old fire station.) WOW. I come back every few years. Everything used to be cheap. Now everything is WAY OVERpriced. The town sure is TOURISTY! I miss the days we used to fish and crab on the downtown bridge. Now you could get squashed by a Mercedes! I went into a shop that was selling seascape paintings. None of the scenes looked familiar. I asked the guy where they were painted. He said, "New York City.". >:-p
I was in Kennebunkport, and the surrounding areas last year. It was such a beautiful place, and the people were very laid back and friendly. I love it, hope to go back this year!!!

Dock Square in winter -- Allisson's restaurant -- especially the chilli :-) the "wedding cake" house, the Bush compound, Cape Porpoise itself (Hi Nancy and Ric) Stayed in Whippoorwill Lane, alongside the river and a bridle path -- can't tell you how fabulous it was for a West Australian who had never seen snow until then ...
