Are you familiar with Oprah' s work, her educational background or her stance on issues, intellectual beliefs, etc.? It sounds as if you are asserting that she's not an intelligent or learned woman.

Very true. I used to listen to Loveline as a teen and it was very infomative and Dr. Drew was always compassionate and professional. Adam Corolla was another story.

This TV MD First: is exploiting the fame of others for money. Second: lies about his gimmick by wrapping it in a cloak of "I want to help everyone". Third: is a complete pill.
I would usually be right there with you but I've always gotten good vibes from Pinski. He's quite straight with the public. Also didn't he say their primary motive was to get on tv?
I thought at first that he was probably exploitative too. Dr Phil is like that but Pinski is different. If you know drug addiction from the academic and carer's perspective you know he's speaking the truth. Celebrity Rehab went to a difficult place ethically but they carried it off and I couldn't fault the show at all. I really think his heart's in the right place.

@hb013 Paris is drug-addled and addicted. Anyone can see that. She behaves with precious little regard for consequences, and her parents seemingly didn't have much concern for her, growing up.

Dr. Drew has been around for many, many years. He was on radio for YEARS, then on TV and now has a show. He's like the Dr. Ruth of Drug Addiction.
