And in that period of time the only monotheist people were the Jews. The Turkic tribes had a lot of gods,so it's not possible Tangra (Tengri) to be a proto-bulgarian god.
total shit !protobulgars didnt believe in Tangra ! the have no turco-altaic origins. there is no even one old sign where is written the name of Tangra ! so pls dont make unreal movies with no evidence!
and btw Bayan or Bat Bayan .. was proto bulgar ruler. and his title was not Khan or Kagan - it was Kanasubigi !
WIKIPEDIA: The ancient Bulgars belong to the big Iranian ethno-tribal group with origins that can be traced back to the Balhara region in the foothills of Mount Imeon, a territory roughly corresponding to present northern Afghanistan and most of Tajikistan. Ancient Bulgarian language belongs to the Indo-European Languages Group.

I find similarities with the Chuvash mythical pantheon and some names can be linguistically linked to Chuvash words: Dzhil - Şil "Wind"; Kubar - Kăvar "Fire",
Azhdaha - Aştaha "dragon". We call Tangri - Tor(ă)/Tur(ă), in some text there was recorded Tankări (so the two names maybe of different origins). Earth-Mother is also essential part of Chuvash myth.
Total shit. There are no historic evidances that the ancient Bulgarians belived in Tangra. These are just stupid communist lies. The only who has "found" the name Tangra on one old-Bulgarian sign is a "Hungarian" Jew - Turcolog and Turkophil. His name is Gaza Feher.
