Singapore for sure does not produce oil, gas & timber, but their Gross National Income (per capita) is so much higher than Malaysia. Sabah is the poorest state, you just try google "poorest state of malaysia" tons of article that says why Sabah is the poorest state although having oil,gas, timber etc. If you ever been to Sabah, the food is more expensive than KL but salary is much lower

I believe all policies are meant to be gd 4the people, go back to school & study sejarah again youngman. NEP is a great policy suggested by Tun Razak to help the poor & reduce poverty, Tun Hussein Onn also did a gd job, however Dr M has failed to deliver until it became a political mechanism for creating wealth by small group of businessman. I have friends from overseas, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada, USA, China etc, probably I could persuade them to come to invest in Malaysia or just pay a visit to Malaysia as tourist(s) especially to Penang, KL, Selangor, Perak etc, may be that can be of some help to enhance the economic of those places.

Dear Friends. I am an old man. Your future will be a stake if the DAP fail to reduce UMNO majority and at the same time wipe out Chinese representation in the Government. This would have very serious ramifications. Don't trust those who are out to work for self-glory and can not promise us a viable alternative.

I did guess u r old man. We already endured for many many years, this is hard for me to make this choice too. We lost our right in unfair economy and politic don't u see that? Keep supporting BN can secure our peace and prosperity with corrupted gov? I am sure a lot of ppl not agree. I dun have figure to support but this all came from my fren who applied for scholarship even in Mara they only send Malay to oversea. Finally, we have no choice but change and pray to god!

BTW, in the past we bet our fate on BN, my self already bet for 2 times but lost, and even faces a big lost in 2004, i was really.. dun know how to tell u how bad i felt! So, i bet my fate in Opposition. Gerakan and MCA really fail me. Old man! em quite young, i know wat em going to lose but do we have any thing to lose after 50 yrs under BN? C u again, haha, u think MCA really help us, one more fact for u. MCA claims their help to get scholarship for over 2k students, u know wat they given? Majority of them were send to unfavorable country if compare to malay, or not full scholarship, pls check up with more ppl dun believe on their propaganda. Check with Penang tsunami and Johore flood victims to know how government treat the chinese.

btw, how u apply Sun Tze tactic over here? Which chapter from 13 chapters u refer to? The war time? or the chapter talking about the leadership? Soldier come from ppl so the morale also from ppl, if leader fail to get consensus, u will be lost, it is that one? or leader must fair in pumishment and appraisal, if commitments fail to fulfil so the instruction become no reliable? But this all look like against BN, pls teach me wat u know in military strategy, i humble for ur teaching.

Probably we can expect the followings if Barisan Rakyat the Alternative Colition win and form new government:-
1. Steadier or not increase in petrol/ diesel price in the current future - then prices of goods and services will also be minimized.
2. Abolish of ISA, end of monopoly, meaning better freedom for a healthy market growth
3. more transparent in government spending - the opposition parties (now are UMNO, MCA, MIC etc) will know how to guard the gorvn, they are "experience"

Some of you have already been indoctrinated by the DAP propaganda. Even God(s) will shed tears if you are that ungrateful. Although we may not get all that we demand, most of us have a decent life even at this time when the US is facing a financial crisis. The BN may not be perfect, but what alternative do we have? Scrunise the background of the Opposition and their ulterior motives. The choice is yours!

We used to say Singaporean is "Kia su", but let me tell you, Penangates are even more Kia su, you knows those people live in island are like that (I know exactly what is in Penang people's mind, m fr Penang too but in KL now) to them the Chinese Chief Minister position is so so great, cannot let go, this is why every time UMNO threaten them, they become fear. I want to ask what so great about the position, to me Koh is useless, opposition voice much more important

You can see the BN, before election already talk so much, on the issue who will be the next chief, never show a courtesy or respect to the challengers. Who made them so arrogant and who was the culprit then?...the rakyatlah. As LKS quotes, enough is enough, we have thought "wisely" for the last 50 years. Dear all, pls always remember, your single vote does contribute to the total count for the opposition, in the past it always stands 40%-51%, it really means something, lets do something now!!

If you do read Sun Tze - The Art of War, you will understnd. We must know our limitations. "Don't fight a losing battle!" With no military support, you can keep on barkng as an opposition. There is no way to ve confrontational politics here. That way, we can never achieve anything.

The wind of change stirred up by the DAP is v strong. The DAP will wipe out almost all the MCA and Gerakan seats whilst UMNO will become stronger. With the Malays in the Govmt and non-Malays in oppn, it is up to you to imagine the consequences. Should we encounter any problem, it won't sound right to ask the Govmt for help. Try our luck with the DAP!!!
Think strategically. Act wisely before it is too late.

I have observed PAS for quite some times, now she is concentrating the welfare /kebajikan of the Rakyat, that is a very good sign, I believe she is a moderate party now; in fact, under the tension of the super power :- UMNO + ISA, who can escape from been becoming extremist, I myself was and thank God that I am now a moderate ordinary person.

huatchaichew, I am from Penang too, even though I have been living 18 yrs in KL but I still remain mine vote right in BM, I hv just read yr comments, feel sick!! The Penang Chief has choosen a wrong career, I know he isn't a bad guy, however in politic scene, we dun need a "good boy" like him and Pak Lah to lead us, wrong man placed in wrong position is a disaster!!

Penang voters pls wake up now, especially the Chinese, if you support DAP, pls also support PAS and Keadilan, for the past, in the area where the voters are Malay majority, Chinese 100% goes to BN instead of PAS, in fact among Malays, they are only 50 / 50 chances, the Chinese and Indian Voters are the decider who to win, therefore BN in these area always win, it makes UMNO too cocky. There are only 2 decision to make in Penang state, either you vote 100%BN or 100% Opposition

A good government is the result of balance parliament with 50-50 seats for ruling party and opposing party. When the opposing voices are strong enough, the ruling party will not implement stupid goverment policy!

Well, I heard why he ran away from contesting in Tanjung Bungah to Batu Kawan is because he still have not distribute the Tsunami victims' funds to the victims until today. Well, recently he also admitted he used 1billion to exchange for 350million Motorola's contract and promise to stay in Penang. He thinks he can win in Batu Kawan and nobody knows what he did? He had forgotten that he had empty promises to Kg Valdor's poor people there who had ask for a Tamil school for 22 years!
