R.I.P. lovely woman, she was more than an opera singer. She could dance, act, and above all sing with a lovely voice. Very few times you meet a woman who is well-rounded in these three characters, her charisma was evident just by looking at her, she didn't even have to sing for you to notice it. Sitting here in a hotel room in San Francisco on a cloudy sunny morning...listening to and watching this clip of Sills and my eyes mist over with tears. I met Sills in Phoneix when my own mother was in the Opera Chorus and they did Daughter of the Regiment. What a lovely person - so very genuine! She's one of the greats.
