You know, as I was watching an LP of this, I noticed they used the plain battle theme on the last Gades fight, then the normal boss theme for Amon...I was thinking to myself "and the Sinistral boss theme for Erim...but what about Daos? Lufia 1 boss theme?!" ...AND BAM there it was, sooooo awesome!!! Thank you for uploading, couldn't find this anywhere!
I honestly could not believe this was the final boss theme. I mean, I had heard this song was in the game and was wondering where it was as I was getting close to the end, but I just assumed it would be in the Ancient Cave like the battle theme from the first Lufia. Honestly, though, it was pretty epic.
You're about the only one I could find who's actually got this tune uploaded besides in a walkthrough for the game. I can't believe they left it off the OST, let alone not even bother making an arranged version. Thanks for the download.
It's probably because it was a track that was only in Lufia I but not in Lufia II, and N-land/Square-Enix said there might be a "remake" of Lufia I if Lufia DS sold well enough. So I guess they want to save that track and any Lufia I remixes just in case they decide to release a OST for a possible future "remake" of Lufia I.
Although repetitive like all of Lufia 1's music, i still really really enjoyed the boss theme's first 23 seconds. its so full of energy and rallys you up to combat anything, anywhere.
Was this recorded directly from the DS or did you use VGMedit (Dunno if that's what it's called since I forgot the name, but it's the tool used for looking at a DS rom's sound data and playing back the music as well)? If it's the latter, then it would explain why this arrangement sounds crappy. Anyway, I actually like this when I encountered Daos :D
Curse of the Sinisrals is so cool! :D
