I found out why exporting your contacts gives an empty file, it's in yahoo mail FAQ.

It's a bug and they are trying to fix it as soon as possible.

What am I doing wrong? I finally got the contacts into Yahoo Mail, and exported to csv 10 million times, but I only get 34 contacts at a time, EVERY time. WTF? I've watched the video over and over too...PLUS, there's no "drop down" in Gmail for importing the csv....NOW what?

everything works well until the import thing... when i clock on "import" nothing happens... (plus, when i exported the file from Yahoo, for some reason it is downloaded as an Excel file.... can it be the reason for why i cant import the contacts on my Gmail?.. if yes, how to download it in the same type as you do?)

Well this didn't work for me as the csv file had no entries. Also I noticed that not all of my friends from facebook loaded into Yahoo. As a work-around I chose Print from the contacts menu and could copy & paste the email addresses to invite each person. More long winded but a lot easier than looking up each persons email one by one. Thanks for the vid.

My problem is not so much me, but my friends, who also, probably don't want to lie about their age just to get onto a site. Plus, they probably also have Google accounts already, with their real birthday, as I do. It's a hassle to manage multiple accounts.

@shikamarusgirl17 an easy to way to manage a different account is to enter real day and month of birth, but different year... 1990 is the easiest to remember.. :) (you will lie to Google, but to our friends in G+, you can tell'em your real age)...

linking accounts with different ages doesn't cause a problem (on my FB account, i've put my real age (16) but on my main email for FB, im 20, same email for G+)..

@shikamarusgirl17 for that, i have an independent email, where all my information is true (and that's my personal email)... it is linked to stuff like college board, but no social networks.. :) (I have 4 emails..one personal, one for social networks and stuff, one on msn so i can chat with friends, and one anonymous where no one knows who am i... the first 3 are linked to each other, while the fourth is a stand alone) (plus 5th Yahoo, but im not using it)

you dont have to export and import again, just import your contacts from facebook to yahoo, then go to circles and import them directly from yahoo.

@HouseholdHacker They (Google Plus) have already a feature wherein you could just import all your contacts straight from the CSV file that you've created. It's under the Circles>Find People tabs :) No need to go through Gmail and stuff. :)

@nothingspecialtosee ok what you do is this: Instead of exporting them opt to send them all a message, you will be brought to a compose message page. click onthe send to tab (as if you were going to add one more) ctl a to select all ctl c to copy and paste in either an note pad or word program and delete the >'s and stuff, takes some time but doesn't take 14 days Trust!
