The BGM for this show is awesome, but doesn't it strike you as odd that they use one of the BGMs on this show as the theme song on The Best Thing I Ever Ate? @MarlaisO when my Mum went into hospital to have my brother and my Dad had to fend for himself he decided to have a roast chicken, he did this by putting a whole chicken into the deep fryer for an hour!! This show lost me the episode where they put the recipe on a chalkboard and then less than halfway through preparation they erased it without warning. What does THAT have to do with learning how to be a better cook?

It would be fun to see some really horrible cooks learn the basics, but World's Worst isn't it. Got to admit I can't stand Anne (more salt!) Burrell. She's like some unholy cross between Guy Fieri, Fran Drescher, and a High School lunch lady.

@PRIVATEAYEIEYE true but that is just how it is in most kitchens from day one as an apprentice, you have to be strong and willing to accept the harshest criticism, yelled at etc but then at the end of service forget it all as otherwise you would be in tears every day. I understand this is a tv show and they aren't chefs nor is it a real kitchen, but it is a quick test to see who can handle pressure and stress in very intense situations.

Chef Beau is a competitor and winner on Iron Chef America and Chef Anne has competed in tons of Iron Chef battles as Iron Chef Batali's sous-chef. Even Tyler Florence (Great Food Truck Race) and Claire Robinson (5 Ingredient Fix) are "real" chefs, even though they hardly ever look the part.

Simply put, I would make you eat the contestants' "dishes" for your blasphemy.

It actually teaches people all around the country how to do something, and these people they've chosen show how you fuck it up. This show may not be as helpful as Masterchef, but hey, the contestants aren't all that good, so why spend funding Food Network probably doesn't have? It's also nice that they give you the recipes, so it's not simply, "haha you suck".
