  • And this is why you separate braking and swerving kids...maybe he should have taken the MSF course.

  • The way i see it is that the motorbike passed the lines befor the car even no its illegal its the cars fault more then they motorcyle

  • props for you getting to the guy as quickly as you did..

  • Both at fault, this was a no passing zone regardless! He was going to pass two vehicles, the car never used his turn signal to indicate a pass even if it was illegal, and the biker never should have attempted to begin with. Stupid on both parts. They should both be fined but the driver should be fined for leaving the scene of an accident as well.

  • NEITHER THE BIKER OR THE CAR ARE USING THE ALARMS SO THEY BOTH FAIL AT FIRST PLACE

  • The crash isn't the bikers fault, he was crossing a double line but I think he could clearly see what was ahead of him for a few hundred metres. So I think is was safe to overtake the other car. The car used no signal, didn't look back and didn't stop. Hope he got some serious charges.

  • The rider was behind the Lexus a good while to know there was a biker behinde them and as he made a move the lex cut em off and kept going after he ran em off the road. Plus if lex didn't know how could you not hear tires from bike. Or the big cloud dust behind em. I hate dumb drivers

  • In highn sight the car driver obviously didnt check the mirrors but when it comes down to it they were both to blame, poor guy though, hope they caught the car driver.

  • panicked and too much rear brake and no gears... Riders fault is not giving much space between the car.... Cars fault not looking at the mirror... Just my opinion Guys...

Ride Safe Always wear your gears... Keep Riding Guyz...

  • Well, regardless of who was at fault, the whole thing could have been avoided if the rider hadn't been on his back break so hard, In emergancy situations the back break is boarderline useless as all teh weight is transferred to the front under heavy breaking, I rarely use the back break as in past experences it has locked up or caused the back end to skip and stall, i prefer to use the engine on the back wheel and the breaks on the front.

  • Both parties at fault.

  • From what I see, both are at fault.. both doesn't know how to use the turn signal. Do you guys know that little yellow indicator could save your life for more than 70%?

  • the lexus' fault.

  • aww man poor guy:(did they ever get the lexusD:<

  • fucking bitch in car

  • I'd have followed the car and kicked the driver's ass

  • ABS

  • Cars fault.

  • The car must have been a woman driver. That's y all accident occur. "I was just putting on my makeup in the rearview mirror while changing lanes nd talking on my cell phone, when...OMG A MOTORCYCLE!!!"

  • Nice gears... Cmon man... Just a helmet? No jacket? Boots? You're lucky you're still alive -__-

  • I'd call it 50/50. It was hard for the car to understand the bikes intensions, but the biker was an idiot too.

Why was he following so close?

Why did he start the overtake from so close?

Why not give yourself a little space (and time!) to figure things out?

Why did he use so much back brake? it looks like he barely touched the front brake at all, going by skid.

All that said, I've been an idiot on my bikes too.

  • Well at least he had on a helmet, if he didn't he probably wouldnt have been speaking to you. I hate when i see people riding like that wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and no helmet.

  • this is why you use you're turn signals when passing, no matter where you are....and why you don't pass on a double yellow

  • it was 50 50 in my opinion who was at fault the lexus crossed a double line to pass and so did the bike the both should take blame

  • 1 moron + 1 moron = someone getting hurt

  • Looks to me like the biker grabbed both brakes and never let go until he hit the deck. If he'd craked once I just can't see how he wouldn't have slowed enough to avoid the car and then carried on as normal? Strange...

  • Both at fault, but when you're on a bike you need to be more cautious than other drivers since you always come out on the losing end in a collision. Passing two cars on a double yellow is risky, and if you want to take the risk you need to be prepared for the possible consequences.

  • By the Law it's BOTH's fault. But when drivivng a car and have Bikes around you, you MUST be more carefull cause they can do things so fast and from points that you cant see them not even by the mirrors. so you must be really carefull.

I Thing that no one should get a car driving licence if he doesnt have a Bikes licence so that he has driven both and understand tha psychology of driving a bike and what to expect that a bike will do while on the road.

  • To those judgmental fools out there with biased views against motorists, according to the Video, Both the Driver and Rider were at Fault, attempting to Overtake without Indicating is never a good idea, not even when it SEEMS to be safe and light Traffic.

  • i cant say shit cause i don't have my bike yet (planning on getting one later this year) but i know i watch motorcycles like a hawk when they are riding around me and im constantly checking for them while im in my car...i'd hate to be responsible for someones injury or death. aside from that, the car swerved as the motorcycle was passing, that was fucked up and almost looked intentional.

  • he should of pulled on his front breaks evenly with his back breaks, instead of slamming on his back breaks! well learn from it and move on.

  • idiot with the carrr stupid mother , , , ,, ,,

  • yhea double yellow means you cant pass but ppl do it anyway. Hope the guy way ok but at least he had a helmet on.

  • I agree he should have been wearing more gear. Sucks to see a fellow rider go down, but from the video you can see that he was f'n around and that that lexus was tailgating that other car. That stupid car driver should have looked over his shoulder as well, he could have seen him and avoided that hit. He should have been more careful and know that car driver are idiots. I was actually hit by a car this way except it wasn't a solid yellow and I was wearing more gear.

  • did someone catch the lexus driver? >=(

  • Two motorists not doing their job to let other drivers know what they intend on doing; neither one signaled.

  • Wow, very glad you came to this guys aid, and people saying the biker crossed the DY so its his fault... what was the lexus doing? same thing.... both at fault i'd say but i def hope u got the cars plate

  • shit! he should have let off the brake, may have stayed up on two wheels. at leat he had his helmet on!

  • Not only does he wipe out but he crashes on rocks... poor guy. Hope your vid was able to capture the Lexus' license plate.

  • I'm a motorcyclist so I feel this guys pain... IMO both people are at fault. You NEVER pass on a DY. That being said... If he had the dots and tried to pass like that, the guy in the Lexus IS300 would have been at fault for failure to indicate his intentions.

  • Bad bike control, crossing double line, and no signal.

    It's his fault.

  • Bad riding/driving on both their parts, I'd say they're both at fault.

  • Riding catch up with his friends, got impatient and went for it, unfortunately car driver decided to overtake and didnt bother to check for another bike ..bad driving/riding.

Apart from the illegal DY line crossing, impatience got the better of them both, but its always the biker that gets injured. Hope he`s ok and hope the driver gets caught too, would be totally unfair if only the rider gets cited.

  • No driving skills, the both of them.

But the guy in the car is way more smart, he wears a CAR, the guy on the bike only wears a helmet (which was not even locked)

  • Accident @ 2:03

  • Did you guys get the Lexus Plates?

  • @magnum5az My guess is that the guy who wiped out got his plates because he was riding his ass the whole time.

  • True that! BDtrr. No Idea why he was not geard up for the ride. He wouldve prob sustained less injuries if he was suited up.

  • @element620221 If you stop the video at the 2:04 you can see the turn of the Lexus wheels, which if the rider had street smarts should have caused him to slow immediately, but the rider was in my belief looking at the bike rider on the shoulder. I'm not lawyer and since I don't live at a Holiday inn would only comment that leaving the scene of an accident would mean you are directly involved i.e. hit or hit someone. The rider was in the drivers blind spot and to the rear of the vehicle

  • @element620221 Looking at the 2:06 time you will note the rider is still not moved or given himself any space cusion, while the Lexus occupies almost the entire lane at the 2:07 mark you'll see the first tire smoke i believe which means he probably began braking somewhere around the 2:04/05 time frame he is also attempting to swerve which would be a good manuver if he were not braking. I'd say a n approved MSF course and more common sense would have gotten out of the jamb without a scratch.

  • Sometimes its really hot to wear the gear. Get dehydrated easily and make mistakes. Around 2:03, if you guys have HD, zoom in and get that license plate number. The driver should know better than to cut in on a bunch of riders. I'd tell all my biker buddies his make, and model and possibly license plate number and just fuck his shit up. Car is wrong, it was obvious the bikes were gonna pass and car wanted to be an ass about it. Beat down time.

  • Both at fault. Neither should be passing on a solid double yellow line. Regardless, the crash was totally preventable and looked to be rider error. There's no way he should have been on the rear brake that hard, it caused the fish-tail and eventual crash IMO.

Also, why isn't the rider wearing proper gear. Sorry, but a sweatshirt, jeans, running shoes and no gloves is simply idiotic IMO. If I were you I'd also wear a back protector.

  • Both at fault, but let's face it, if you're the one on two, you're gonna lose those battles. Rider panicked, grabbed a hand (and foot) full of brake, which is what caused him to crash, he could have easily avoided the car without the panic reaction. Both are passing on the DY, both are at fault, although the car could be in more trouble for leaving the scene.

    Hope rider heals up okay!

  • WOAH THAT IS ABSOLUTELY THE car drivers fault! ARE you kidding me? Bro I hope you gave this video to the police..if you don't I will let me know lol.

  • If it was me, I would have given chase, for just a few seconds, then see lexus plate and then pull over to side of road, and write it down on my back of my hand. Because there will be other drivers on the road after you guys that can stop and call 911 for crashed rider; and right now, you dont have description of lexus driver, dont have plate #s, nothing.

  • Both at fault indeed but rider is at his own fault for not wearing proper gears. I fell on a freeway and trust me it was worse than that but I walked away without a single scratch from wearing full gear. Hope he recovers soon and learn from his mistake

  • Both at fault. No passing double line

  • both at fault, double yellow and no signals, and panic.there was still room on the road. Lexus should of looked on mirror before passing.

  • Both are at fault. Hope the biker Ok and learns from his mistake.

  • @Controllergraphs- I hear you bro, I hate to see a fellow rider go down as much as you do. Hope wecan all lear from this video..thanks

@Emerika- The rider is in the hospital last time I heard.

  • @element620221 Little T will bite you in the ass, good thing is you have it on vid so you can learn from it. Don't use your rear brake unless you are a A group rider because people tend to keep it on in panic situations and it dosen't do much unless you are trail braking or lost the front. I am 0 for 2 in that one. The car was 20 feet in front ant your rear is locked, not good. What does not kill you makes you stronger, see ya in the canyons.

  • Is the rider Ok?

  • i hope they caught the silver car and i feel bad to like this video it should be disliked

  • @alehax27- like i said both at fault. Bottomline both thinking stupid one got hurt.

  • Yeah, both of them are at fault. There are double yellow lines for a reason. I know I do it too, but you can't put all the blame on the lexus.

The guy looked like he wasn't wearing any gear except a helmet.

  • @todddhel,kawikaze,rheamc2,1hondaaccourd5,Jlozdrummin,supersayin. Yes you guys are all correct . Both @ fault , If the Lexus got caught he should be cited for leaving the scene of an accident. Hell he didnt even stopped - i know he saw and heard the whole thing. I think they were both thinking of passing the D-yellow @ the same time. While the squid also want to catch up with his 2 buddies which is a no no. As far as the lexus i think the chp put an Apb on it.

  • @element620221 Didn't you get a better picture of the cars plate number?

  • I hope the person the Lexus went around saw the crash and got the plate number on that car. I hope he's okay!

  • Wow it hurts me to keep watching this but it's good 4 me cause it reminds me to not be stupid. Both R @ fault solid line means stay put on UR lane. Hope D guy is OK. He was not protected well no jacket, proper boots. Good things he had his helmet on. Man his Ducati will never be D same, but who care's U can buy another bike but can't buy another life.

  • both are at fault, they shouldn't be taking over when they aren't supposed to.

  • Sorry to say but both I think .the line on the road was a no passing lane. both tried to pass the one in front of them at the same time. Man I HOPE KICK THE SHIT OUT OF THE PERSON IN THE LEXUS!! and I hope the guy on the bike will be ok man that looked like an awefull crash on top of all them rocks damn,. good thing he had some gear on

  • both of them's FAULT. Double yellow solid line brothers..

  • @faithfultrigger...I removed the fog breather and put a velcro..

  • Yeah Faithfultrigger, he locked up and panicked it was already too late. Who do you think is @ fault here? Alot of accidents on this very canyon. How was your ride today?

  • Where did u put ur flip video? It takes good quality.

  • My gulay!!! Thats y i never use my rear brake ! The car driver is crazy!!!

  • Yeah kanina lang right after I got out from work mga 3:30 pm. Pumunta ako sa cooks corner sa O.C to try my flip mino then i witnessed this sa harap ko pa.

  • where is that DEN? mag isa ka lang nag ride kanina? dapat sumama ka samin.

  • No bro! the Lex just took off... the guy in the truck tried to chase the Lexus. Crazy day eh! How was your ride man ?

  • WHO IS @ FAULT HERE?

  • @element620221 it looks like the the road is two way divided by a solid yellow line in the middle. i understand that you cannot pass if the line is solid unless you are turning left to a to a driveway on the left side of the road. so if what i said is true both of them are at fault for passing.

  • @element620221 Sorry to say but both I think .the line on the road was a no passing lane. both tried to pass the one in front of them at the same time. Man I HOPE KICK THE SHIT OUT OF THE PERSON IN THE LEXUS!! and I hope the guy on the bike will be ok man that looked like an awefull crash on top of all them rocks damn,. good thing he had some gear on.

  • holly crap man was he ok? did da lexus come back? fuck i hope he aight!!!
