@Blooo993 we got em in nj....i seen one 4 years ago at the milstone and raritan river junction in the sommerset county area.wow....i knew it.we have mink in raritan and bald eagles.for an area becoming voer developed we have 4 foot gamefish in these waters.i hook em but not land em and see seen unidentifed VERY LARGE fish.this is not a joke or hoax in anyway.anyone who wants to inquire futher hit me up.
when we lived in CT. our 68lb Bull Terrier got into it with one. he killed it but these things are vicious,if it was a smaller dog it would have really had it's hands full.
@donyboy73 Ya man it's a fisher, I live in Ontario Canada and these things are nasty. They will go into new subdivisions where there habitat was before and will maul anything it sees mostly children and pets. lesson learned don't F*** with a Fisher
@monkeyat12 - heard that our provoncial government set a shit load free in the Muskokas to control the Porcupine population... You're right that attack anything and CHILDREN !!! FISHER CAT
@Liamautomechanic - Yep. Thats a Fisher. Its the second largest member of the Weasel family next to the Wolverine and it would fuck up your day if you happened to corner it. They are vicious. I used to trap them when I was younger.
Fishers are only one of two animals in North America that are, for lack of beter words, crazy enough to attack and kill a porcupine... The other, is a cougar. They will eat anything that moves. When they are pissed off, they will make a sound like a young child in distress.
One of these attacked me 2 years ago in Ontario, damn near bit my leg off (not literally).

if your scared of fishers and you live near them, get an akita, let it run loose for a night or two and your fisher problem will be solved.
