@aamber1992 Nee kijk, de vlamingen hebben gewoon een heeeeeel ander accent dan jullie, en wij vinden ons eigen accent veel aangenamen, logisch. Dus voor ons is het slechte smaak, jij vind natuurlijk je eigen 'taal' van je land veel mooier, te begrijpen natuurlijk, heb ik ook :D
Don't wanna be annoying but there's a certain difference between Dutch and Begian (: These are the Belgian lyrics, the lyrics to the Dutch version are different (: Just sayin'
"Die kerel hakt ze in the pan" is a saying, literally its something like "That guy chops them into the fryingpan" Id translate it with "That guy makes mincemeat of them"
About that phrase, 'Die kerel hakt ze in de pan," I think that means something along the lines of "he's working them half to death," but I can't be sure.
nope, it means something like: she can handle him or she can beat him ore she can fight him or something like that. die kerel means that guy in de pan hakken means litterly cut him into pieces but it's not litterly here.=)
I spotted a little error in you translation of the chorus (don't get mad at me): The first two lines are ok, but I would have translated the second two as:
'die kerel hakt ze in de pan' --> 'In de pan hakken" is a Flemish saying what comes from: "Een leger in de pan hakken." What means: to cut an army to pieces/ to defeat it totally. We use it when we want to say someone is defeating something/someone.
Well, a scotelvod looks like a small towel. We use it to clean tables etc... . But schotelvod is dialect. The proper name is Theedoek or something, but everybody says schotelvod :p.
It's kina cool if you speak german because you understand a lot of it :D
"Ihr seid schlaffer als ein Schotelvod, ohne Rückrad und schwach und doch mache ich einen Mann aus dir"
:D

@LolliepopLien
ja daar heb je wel gelijk in.
voor jullie ( als je vlaams bent) ben je dat natuurlijk gewend.
Maarja Belgie hoorde eerst natuurlijk bij nederland.
dus de meeste vlamingen vinden het niet zo leuk als we zeggen dat vlaams op nederlands lijkt ;D. wat ik niet echt begrijp.
Maar vergelijk gewoon nederlands maar eens met Fries
Provincie Friesland. dat kan je echt niet verstaan

@LolliepopLien
Waarom heeft iemand dan gelijk een slechte smaak
moet iedereen toch zelf weten.
zelf vind ik de nederlandse ook mooier.
vanwege de stem en de tekst loopt beter.
ieder zijn of haar eigen mening.

Ik wil niet lulllig overkomen maar ik vind het Nederlandse veel mooier.
want deze vlaamse tekst komt helemaal niet overeen met het engelse ( orginele)

@MerelXMusic I am very well aware of that. That's why this version is called the Belgian Dutch (Flemish / Vlaams) version, and not the Dutch version.

'Belgian' is not a language.
'Belgisch' is geen taal.
101Lot101 5 months ago
@101Lot101 Dat weet ik :'). Maar er zijn duidelijke verschillen in hoe Belgen sommige dingen verwoorden en hoe Nederlanders dat doen.

@Xommon I am from Flanders and it is actually an expression that means: "He is killing them,beating the crap out of them, etc..."

@teniguafez it's an expression meaning something he beats them like they are no competition

@teniguafez it literally means: That guy chops them in the pan, but thats a saying here in belgium ;). It basically means 'he owns them' XD

Just a little tip :)
