"Die kerel hakt ze in the pan" is a saying, literally its something like "That guy chops them into the fryingpan" Id translate it with "That guy makes mincemeat of them"

About that phrase, 'Die kerel hakt ze in de pan," I think that means something along the lines of "he's working them half to death," but I can't be sure.

'die kerel hakt ze in de pan' --> 'In de pan hakken" is a Flemish saying what comes from: "Een leger in de pan hakken." What means: to cut an army to pieces/ to defeat it totally. We use it when we want to say someone is defeating something/someone.

Well, a scotelvod looks like a small towel. We use it to clean tables etc... . But schotelvod is dialect. The proper name is Theedoek or something, but everybody says schotelvod :p.
