@f1fantic1 I have that one in its entirety - Saturday and Monday. However, I don't think I'll have the chance to upload them any time in the near future...
@sachahuista I would actually go as far as saying this as well as the 1997 Grand National are two of the finest pieces of broadcasting I will ever see in my life and both done by the same people. O Sullevan and John Hanmer are two voices I miss commentating on this wonderful race. But these were the days when the National were always broadcasted in the best way, it's still good these days but not the same no more. And I thank you again for uploading a missing link to my childhood!
@formulaonemad Absolutely. Jim McGrath was excellent during the bomb scare when all his colleagues were evacuated, and The Times wrote a piece praising his effort the Monday after. Likewise, John Hanmer was the first to say the words 'void race' but Sir Peter summed it up brilliantly with 'the race that never was'.
If you listen to John Hanmer over the years, he was fantastic in spotting the eventual winners: Rhyme and Reason and Seagram's years being two fine examples.
@formulaonemad I have the entire coverage from the horses passing the finish post through to the bbc news where the lead story was obviously the grand national fiasco.
I hope you do upload the 1997 Saturday and Monday nationals as it is a bit of grand national history.

Peter O'Sullevan was great at explaining what happened. Do you have the 1997 Grand National saga?
