  • the truth is Michael is so much cooler than Steve. Hes much more outgoing CEO! and hes got a sense of humor as well

  • @chltmdwp have you seen the barbs that steve had with bill gates? funny stuff. apparently, you don't know as much about him as you thought

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys ughh yea i have. But in general, Michael smiles more and there is a difference between being cool and outgoing than being funny in certain videos...

  • @chltmdwp so is dell cool and outgoing toward customers in this?

    ht tp://ww w.i nfoworld. com/d/the-industry-standard/the-ignominious-death-dell-882

  • That dell is piece of shit we always knew

  • If i know who is this I would Fuck him to the Core......idiot What You know about Micheal Dell Sir All most 25 years he is the most generous man in the world and he is the one who have the worlds best company with the best service all over the world.....You fucking fool go get a dell laptop or desktop and Screw you ass into it and call 8006249896 you would get your computer as it was before you screwing it up.

  • @arundellpan dell is "most generous" ? what do you base this on? best service? dell?

  • @manjyoumethunder The iPod touch has a fm tuner whereas the iPad has an option for 3g and has an iPS display.

  • @endlessdream94 Deadliest Catch>Ice road truckers.

  • But the giant ipod is a success, PC have been trying to do tablets for almost 10 years and been failing at it .. Apple's first attempt is a success..

Now pc makers are trying to slingshot off apple's success in finally getting pc tablets into consumer..

  • @Trister619 are you saying the ipad is a failure? ht tp://ww w. wired. com/gadgetlab/2010/06/apples-ipad-sales-accelerate-three-million-sold-in-80-days/

are there poor reviews of it?

    ht tp://reviews. cnet. com/tablets/apple-ipad-64gb/4505-3126_7-33958448. html?tag=contentMain;contentBody

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

He just said the opposite of that, you moron. You dumb ass Mac users need to learn to read, he was supporting you.

  • @manjyoumethunder exactly, can you find poor reviews of it. you dumbass pc fanboys need to learn how to read

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

How the fuck is that an "exactly" you ignorant twat? You questioned him and said "Are you saying the iPad is a failure?". He was quite clearly saying the opposite of that, you inept piece of shit.

YOU need to learn how to read.

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Where are you reading that at..

for 10 years pc manu have been trying to release a tablet pc.. Even embedded WindowsCE and it has all failed.. PC users expected the ipad to fail because of its tablet design.. Apple proved pc users wrong with there with there selling numbers. Ipad won big and now pc makers are scrambling to try to sling shot there pc tables off of apple ipad success.. Don't know how you took it as ipad was a failure ? ?

  • @Trister619 i thought you were being sarcastic since you called it 'giant ipod'

  • I love Apple and their products, but I would love to see a company really show them up. Competition only brings better and innovate products to the market.

  • Dell not innovating? A certain TV show host didn't see the huge Dell phone leak.

  • @manjyoumethunder wow, are they outselling the iphone, already?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Innovation isn't equal to sales. Unless of course you want it to be, in which case you'd sort of have to agree Windows is more innovative than OS X.

  • @manjyoumethunder actually what i meant was how the iphone has such strong sales along with great reviews when compared to all others. not true of windows

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Umm, the iPhone tends to have ratings around the same as high-end Android phones on CNET, just as Windows 7 and Slow Leper have the same rating. Actually, Windows 7 has a slightly better rating.

    Nice try.

  • @manjyoumethunder Umm i was comparing umm TWO products umm the iphone and umm the streak. is google's android made by dell?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Umm, you never said "Streak", now did you, you dumb shit? You said "compared to ALL others", actually, which COMPLETELY contradicts that "Streak" bullshit you just tried to pull. Nice fucking try.

  • @manjyoumethunder i merely alluded that the iphone gets better sales and reviews than the streak and on TOP OF THAT it does the same against all others. but you are right, i should have kept it to just the streak and the iphone, so let's just concentrate on apple vs dell comparisons, since that's what this video is all about. agreed?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

In any case, the point of my original post wasn't JUST about the Streak, but the myriad of yet unreleased Dell phones with exciting new form factors and options above the normal "slate-like touchscreen device", such as the Lightning with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard (landscape) making it much like a Palm Pre, only more refined.

Dell's still "innovating", they do more than computers. Not everything can be out the door as soon as it's thunk up, though.

  • @manjyoumethunder wow, should we compare dells unreleased products to what apple will have in the next 3 years? WTF?

yup dell is still innovating ways to give the s.e.c. 100 mil

you bring up a good point: the apple model is to promise a product and deliver, dell's is pretty much the opposite

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

First of all, my response was to a direct quote from the host of the posted video completely unrelated to Apple, in which he said Dell was simply no longer "innovating". If he had been paying attention to recent technology news, he would realize that was not the case.

Furthermore, what's Apple going to give us in the next 3 years. The iWall, a 47" 1080p iPod Touch? Sorry, I mean iPad. Wait, same difference.

  • @manjyoumethunder really? what is dell offering that hasn't been, before?

    haha, you're funny

    looking.

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

    What is Apple offering lately?

    "It's a giant iPod!"

"It's a Wacom Bamboo Touch...I mean Magic Trackpad!"

    "We made the iMac....BIGGER!"

"We increased the frequency of our processors...BY 200 MHZ!"

  • @manjyoumethunder wow, great question that is supposed to answer MY question? did you watch the video about how apple stock has risen on the strength of its innovative products while dell's has fallen dramatically for lack of the same?

giant ipod-what the hell does that mean?

are these quotes from pc fanboys or what?

so the imac should come in smaller sizes??

    200 mhz?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Stop avoiding the question with a scarecrow argument. I asked you what is Apple offering that is innovative. Apple's stock price rising is not "innovation", it's sales. You don't have to be "innovative" to sell a fucking product.

Tell me what Apple is offering and developing openly that is more innovative than Dell's new lineup of phones. How is the iPhone more innovative, after 4 iterations of the same thing?

  • @manjyoumethunder the streak has a bigger screen but worse clarity than the iphone. it has issues with media, the iphone doesnt. tell me what innovations the streak has.

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

The point of the Streak is to be able to watching media without having to hold it up to your face to see details, thus the large display. The lower pixel density doesn't matter in terms of media consumption as much because the point is to view it at a farther distance. The point of the "Retina Display" is similar, because at x distance you can't differentiate the pixels. However, the Streak is bigger so the same effect works further away.

  • @manjyoumethunder and this approach is "innovative?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

As innovative as making a big iPod Touch is. Just changing the size to appeal to a different market segment.

  • @manjyoumethunder so you think the ipad only does what an ipod touch does?

  • @manjyoumethunder ht tp://news. cnet. com/8301-13924_3-20011582-64. html

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

And the fucking joke is, all Apple is doing is beating the same fucking concepts to death and not innovating at all.

Giant iPod is clearly the fucking iPad, because that's all the iPad is.

No, the iMac shouldn't be smaller. But making it bigger isn't "INNOVATIVE"

And "200 Mhz" as in, Wow, Apple increased the frequency of their processors by some retarded amount that makes no difference. How innovative!

  • @manjyoumethunder the iphone is innovative. osx is innovative. what is dell offering that's innovative?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

How is the iPhone innovative RECENTLY? The iPhone was innovative when it was first introduced, years ago. What about it is innovative now? Apple has gone stale. All they're doing is beating their currently product line to death, and adapting innovations from the competition. Multitasking, Folders, all Android. What's innovative in the iPhone 4? The E-IPS display? Wow, so much better than AMOLED, not. Only took them three generations to get off their old crap.

  • @manjyoumethunder really, their most innovative product is the ipad. what's dell's innovative product(s)? do they have ANY?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

The iPad is not innovative. The iPad is a big iPod Touch with a higher resolution and big battery. Try again.

  • @manjyoumethunder it has two batteries actually and it's far more than a big ipod touch, one fucking word: A4

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

And what's innovative about OS X recently? Slow Leper didn't really add any features. Hell, you know that, you're still on Leopard, you can't even RUN Slow Leper because you're running a dinosaur. What's so innovative about OS X RECENTLY?

  • @manjyoumethunder what so innovative about windows, RECENTLY?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Homegroups? Aero peek? Direct X 11?

I'm not saying Windows is the most innovative thing in the world. But YOU are the one claiming Apple is innovative compared to everyone else. Dumbass.

  • @manjyoumethunder homegroups innovative? ht tp://lifehacker. com/317033/leopard-simplifies-networking

aeropeek? expose' is MUCH better, so that's hardly innovative

directx11? this is useful for such a relatively small segment of the overall computer buying public-thus, not innovative.

    DUMBASS

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Leopard's networking features do NOT compare to the ease of use and simplicity of a Windows 7 HomeGroup, try again.

Expose is not "MUCH better", Expose is much MORE OBSTRUSIVE, covering your entire desktop to select one window to bring to the top.

DirectX 11 is relevant to a small segment? Not really. DirectX 11 introduces new technologies that will increase the overall speed and efficiency of computing for all users. Developers just need to take advantage of it.

    RETARD.

  • @manjyoumethunder you're right. i find leopards networking features easier than windows 7. look at this review of homegroups ht tp://gizmodo. com/5285452/os-x-snow-leopard-vs-windows-7-the-final-countdown

i don't want technologies that MIGHT help me, in the future, i want technologies that help me right now and are CERTAIN to help me, right now!

    RETARD.

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

"Leopard's networking features do NOT compare to the ease of use and simplicity of a Windows 7 HomeGroup, try again."

    "you're right"

Oh, I guess Leopard is hard to use then, since it doesn't compare to the "ease of use" and "simplicity"

You really need to learn to read. You're embarrassing to watch.

  • @manjyoumethunder lol, you are the dim one here. i was agreeing with how you said that leopard does not compare to windows 7 and furthered that thought by stating (with support) that leopard's networking is better, while you have all of ZERO cites to back up YOUR claims

    now YOU'RE embarrasing...

    AGAIN!

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

No, Howdy. You're missing the point. You're reading too quickly and responding in a manner that contradicts your own points. I'm sorry if you don't understand the English language, but that's not our problem.

You need to SLOWWWW DOOOOOWN, READ and THINK before posting.

Also, just look at Leopard's networking. It's got too many settings. The average user doesn't want to deal with that.

    HomeGroups, click and go.

  • @manjyoumethunder actually i LIKE more settings, more functionality, etc. so you lose

    again

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

You're not the average user, and you change your mind to fit the argument. "it's too complex", "it's too simple", you Mac users always contradict yourselves in terms of how features should work.

And by the way, HomeGroups are the "dumbed down" version, actual non user friendly networking still obviously exists, fucktard.

  • @manjyoumethunder and how am i not the average user? i am saying that it should functiionality WITH ease of use. nice ad hominem attack there, at the end. are you six years old, now?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

You realize we've been calling each other names for the last two days now, right? You're not exactly innocent to this, and pointing it out as "ad hominem" doesn't really help your point.

You're not the average user. Despite me thinking you're a complete moron, you're still a lot smarter. The average computer user is seriously inept. Clicking "share" and selecting what kinds of files from a small selection is what they need.

Leopard's networking is nice for us, not them.

  • @manjyoumethunder i don't comment that way unless someone has previously done that to me. and what do you base your analysis of what the average computer can do or not do?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Because I worked in a computer repair shop (got laid off recently due to the economy), and know that most users are complete morons.

  • @manjyoumethunder so, you are basing your 'knowledge' on what cpmputers needed repair?? what about the countless more that DON'T need repair?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

I suppose you have a point, so I will elaborate further on my experiences.

I write chat bots for the messaging network on deviantART. We also operate a chatroom aimed as assisting users with setting up their own bots for various purposes.

Do you have any idea how many people don't know what a zip archive is, or how to extract one? A good majority of these casual users who are on the internet, apparently. I wouldn't trust them to configure anything more than home groups.

  • @manjyoumethunder and what is the total number of people you see on those two places versus the entirety of those that own a computer?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

I figure I've seen a couple hundred, which is a large enough sample size from my own point of view to make a fairly accurate estimation on the capabilities of the average computer user.

Then again, everybody knows the average computer user is retarded. You suddenly trying to state otherwise to, for some reason, break the standard "Mac users like simplicity" rule is rather perplexing, though ineffective.

  • @manjyoumethunder two hundred is nowhere near a reasonable number to accurately assess the average computer consumer when compared to the one BILLION of computers out there. .00002 per cent is hardly an acceptable figure. can you define 'retarded' in this context?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

A "couple" does not exclusively mean "two" in that context, though I apologize for the ambiguity of the wording. I meant a "few" hundred. Does that appease you?

And yes, it is a reasonable number. It's a sample size. I don't have to survey every single computer user in the world to form a somewhat accurate generalization.

"retarded" in this context? Inept. Being able to only perform the most mundane of computer tasks and general use without greater assistance.

  • @manjyoumethunder even at 500 the amount that you are basing this on would be .00005 per cent. hardly a meaningful sample. no, not every computer user but even a 1 per cent sample size would be nice. you are dealing with insignificant samples

and what are mundane computer tasks and general use?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Web browsing, reading e-mail, writing documents, making powerpoints, listening to music, watching videos. The average computer user would have difficult setting up any kind of networking features, even on Leopard, and you know it. I'm not going to sit here and argue the obvious with you so you can pretend OS X makes people magically smart.

  • @manjyoumethunder having worked with microsoft operating systems for 25 years and apple operating systems for just 5, i can honestly tell you that osx is FAR more intuitive and well thought out than windows. at least they FINALLY did away with the button that you choose to quit with named "start"!

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

The start button did a lot of things, not just hold the shut down menu, jackass.

  • @manjyoumethunder but did you actually end the session (shut down the computer) with a button named "start"?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

No, I opened the start MENU, which gives me the ability to START almost any task, including the process of shutting down.

Did you end the session with a button of a fucking apple? Because that makes so much more goddamn sense.

  • @manjyoumethunder the start button itself does not 'start' the shutdown process, it merely contains the ABILITY for the user to do so. in fact the only thing it starts is a popup menu. why does the use of the apple to end a session not make sense?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

I JUST SAID THAT YOU IGNORANT MOTHERFUCKER.

And how the fuck DOES IT MAKE SENSE? IT'S A FUCKING APPLE.

  • @manjyoumethunder wow, been playing the games a LOT tonight? (you seem kinda edgy).

are you saying a flag makes more sense for a product named "WINDOWS"?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Absolutely not. A lot of this shit doesn't make sense. But an Apple rather than a start menu doesn't make any better sense.

  • @manjyoumethunder it's not a start menu. it's a flag under a bubble

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

    *hovers over flag*

    "start"

    HMM.

  • @manjyoumethunder so are you saying that the icon is still blazoned with the word 'start' or not?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

I'm saying the hover text is "start". It's still a fucking start button.

  • @manjyoumethunder um no- ht tp://ww w. msnbc. msn. com/id/35108714/

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Yes, because that article decides reality, you see?

It's a big iPod Touch. That's what it is. It matches the description perfectly. It's not a bad thing. It works. It was a good idea to use the iPhone OS! But that doesn't mean they didn't! It's a big iPod Touch! God.

  • @manjyoumethunder so is the iphone just an ipod touch that makes phone calls?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

    ...YES, THAT'S THE POINT.

  • @manjyoumethunder so anything with minimalistic controls is always better?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

I don't see how that ties into the iPhone and iPod Touch being sister products. Explain.

  • @manjyoumethunder is the iphone just a more expensive ipod touch with no new features?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

But it's not more expensive. You buy it subsidized for the same price and it provides the same features with mobile internet and voice service.

  • @manjyoumethunder are you including the provider cost?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Considering you're receiving a service (cellular voice and data transmission) and every cell phone costs money to use, no?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys Actually its the other way around lol... the iPod touch is an iPhone without phone functionality (since it came after the iPhone). So essentially the iPad is a bigger version of the iPhone with an enhanced OS that doesn't make calls either... except thru Skype. I only have a problem when people say its "just" a big iPod Touch... the word "just" undermines what the iPad really is. Its more like an iPod Touch on steroids since its not only bigger - but enhanced.

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys why bother arguing with these dumb fanboys, the ipad is the best tablet ever, more powerful than any of these low quality pc tablets that dont even have multitouch and are made in china and run windows

  • @TheMacFan87 i find most of their ramblings mildly amusing, though

    cheers.

  • I think Dell's key to survival could be the same as Apple's was back in the late 90s. Michael Dell said some rather harsh things about Apple back in the day and its coming back to haunt him. They need to do exactly what Apple did - streamline their product line and offer products that are cool and innovate... rather than flooding their website with so many products that are hardly distinguishable from another. One of their more intriguing products lately - the Streak.

  • @endlessdream94 lol streak sounds like streak of shit
