We enjoyed meeting you all at the Waterfront Festival in Liverpool. Sorry you missed the spectacular light show projected onto the Liver Building - it was cold though. We are so glad you saw our dancing - and seemed to like it. Best wishes to you and enjoy the rest of your stay here. Pat and Alan Dancing
This is definitely Madeleine Peyroux's version. Billy Holiday's version has more horn. She always sounds like she was mimicking Holiday in this song, which was her trademark early in her career.
@katharosity - Hi, Yes! You are absolutely right. This is Madeleine Peyroux's version of the old Billie Holiday number. Well spotted - and shame on me for misleading you - and lots of others too. Do have a look at our Band Stand dance. It's definitely John Lennon singing! Regards, Alan
Not really, but there seem to be a lot of organisations running modern jive/ Ceroc/Blitz etc, and nearby in Northwich there is a group calling itself Revolution does something called 'freestyle' which includes WCS. If the US weren't playing England in the world cup on Saturday, we'd have donned our protective gear and faced the massed swooping arms of the modernistas!
Gracias por tu comentario amable. Nos encanta bailar al ritmo de esta canción, pero no es Madeleine Peyroux canta. Se trata de Billie Holiday, y fue grabado en Nueva York en 1937. Espero que la traducción de Google tiene sentido. Saludos cordiales, Alan
Thank you for your kind comment. We love dancing to this tune, but it is not Madeline Peyroux singing. It is Billie Holiday, and was recorded in New York in 1937. I hope the Google translation makes sense. Kind Regards, Alan
Awesome job, guys. Keep up the good work and I'll see you in Los Angeles in a few weeks! Glad to hear all is going well. Fantastic lighting, by the way - very artsy. :)

Hi.
The title says you were dancing at John Moores Uni. Does that mean there is somewhere to dance WCS or Lindy in Liverpool?

Shouldn't that be "How are things in Glocca Morra?" From the musical "Finian's Rainbow"? Check out Sonny Rollins version of the tune!
