Whoaa...! Great playing, great tone. PJ is funky, smooth, articulate and has something to say! That is also one lovely sounding pedal, is it analogue?
@SixStringHarmonies - yeah, the guy behind all those great rhythm guitar tracks with all the sounds and techniques to fill on the gaps... that's a great rig to break down. He should do an extended series on DVD covering the entire spectrum of effects and how he's used them in real world situations, giving examples of setups he used in many of his recordings along the way of demoing his approach to using them all..... would be priceless.
Paul's execution might be just as good and I'm probably one of his biggest fans but melodically, I like "Brazilian Stomp" better, but that's just myyyy preference.
I have never found a single peice of sheet music for Paul Jacksons music. I would love to have some. Paul Jackson is without a doubt the best guitar player I have ever seen. Does anybody know where to find any sheet music by Paul?
I hate to be one of those guys that asks those "what song is that?" questions, but, what's the name and artist of that blues song in the beginning of the video? Thanks. By the way, I've gotta say, great sounding pedal. Very smooth. Thanks again.
This is the man! I just got his DVD "The science of Rhythm Guitar" which I was waiting to come out on DVD from the video for years - The man lives in the pocket!
The quintessential studio musician. Just love how he uses the certain tools he does to get sounds that are clean and perfect for anything from commercials, movies, cd's, etc...
In addition to being a recording artist in his own right, Jackson is also highly accomplished L.A. session player, with a career spanning multiple decades and playing on projects from Michael Jackson's Thriller and Bad to numerous recordings by artists from Whitney Houston, Thomas Anders and Patti LaBelle to rockers like Chicago to jazz greats such as Dave Koz, Al Jarreau, David Benoit, Marcus Miller and Kirk Whalum.Jackson can be seen playing guitar in a wide variety of styles on American Idol.
Among Mr Jackson television appearances are 17 episodes of American Idol, 19 episodes of Don't Forget the Lyrics and 2 episodes of America's Got Talent. Each time he appeared as himself, the musician. He does have one acting credit; as Chuma in the TV series Cowboy In Africa
Mr Jackson may favor the actor who plays that role. However, that part was played by a gentleman who is a veteran of the small screen as well as movies. The actor's name is Reginald VelJohnson. One of Reginald's other prominent roles was as Captain Al Powell in Die Hard: Vendetta

The concept of this song has got to be taken from George Benson & Earl Klugh's "Brazilian Stomp". Same kinda feel and structure!!

@20103million I totally agree with you. But don't you think that this is a better song? With all due respect for George benson of course.

This legend had played all over the Thriller Album.
That was his funk licks on Billie Jean.
And on Lionel Ritchie's "hello".
The best R&B session guitarist ever.

I believe he was trying to advertise how to operate the xotic robotic 2 so it's more or less an advert than a jam session, hence the hand use.
My opinion though.
